*Abstinence is a nearly lost episode that is only available online (no streaming services). This is from Moral orel which belongs to adult swim and not me These kids deserve so much better holy shit
Also he can talk right. He just chooses not to. Just like how he still nurses because it makes him feel loved. I think he might actually talk at school.
@@luckylucario not very well. The most coherent thing he’s said other than his line in Sacrifice (which imo doesn’t count overall since it’s something that happened after his semi-scrapped character development) is “Blah blah blah blah blah, me Orel, me Orel! Blah blah blah blah, Jesus! Blah blah blah, sinner!”
First time watching the series: "Shapy is bloody annoying!" Watching the series again as an adult: "This child is severely neglected and underdeveloped."
Gave me some perspective about my 4yo brother. In spite of me and my siblings all being adopted, he was the clear favorite where he could freely hit people, throw things at them, scream, or run off in public because he found it funny when he was being chased (and I had to chase him). Uncoincidentally whenever I babysat him because my parents went to school, he was far more behaved, but whenever they were home he could frequently hit or grope me or take my things and I'd be the one in trouble for being upset at it. He could have anyone's phone as a distraction so he quickly figured out that if he screamed long enough he would get someone's phone to watch and play games on. Hell, he wasn't potty-trained at all since the last I've seen him because he refuses to switch to underwear and my parents wouldn't be stricter about it. I used to be bitter because he got away with everything while I was harshly punished for so much as being sick and not wanting to do anything, but now I feel bad for him.
I just love how Block stayed with Bloberta and didn't went back to Poppit. He prefers being with Bloberta because he gets at least some attention from her compared to Poppit, heck, she didn't even bothered to get Block and just closes the door
It feels to me like what Shapey and Block each needed to grow was understanding from each other : ) and that’s why they progressed like they did, it was after they had each other
I’m sad that it took me watching this to realise that shapie only breastfed because it was the only time he didn’t feel alone. How he kept grabbing stuff and screaming “mine” was because his parents didn’t give him real toys and just dumped rubbish in his room. The only time he seems to behave is when he is playing with Orel and block
I love the fact that the creator's daughter, Tigger voiced these kids. I always loved the idea of a creator, crew member, or actor bringing their kid on set to do acting work for the younger characters.
As a person with a neurodivergent little brother, this character hits so bad and it makes me so sad how both shapey and block are treated, LIKE DUDE I WANT TO HELP THEM SO BAD
@@danatedawg1018I wonder if that means they just developed later, or it is meant as a dig to police, like Ralph Wiggum becoming a police officer in the Simpson
I never realized how little bloberta and clay cared about shapey.💀 bro doesnt even have a room, he sleeps on a thing in a cluttered closet. Especially after clay figures out he isnt his son like dam. The only time they seem to care about how shapey acts is when their in public.
@@danatedawg1018 I think because he reminds her of her affair, but the fact she didn't even realize for several episodes they were switched really does show how little she cares. They don't even look remotely alike.
Shapie and block needed eachother. You can tell how much their behaviours improved just from being together. Less spoiled more sweet little boys. I can’t believe how long it took for me to realise that shapie was only still breast feeding because he hated the feeling of being alone and it’s clear he is craving his parents attention. Clay doesn’t care and the mother is so focused on cleaning she neglects his emotional needs. It’s so sad
I don't think he's on the spectrum. I mean it's possible but there are cases of children who've been neglected so bad that they are nonverbal despite having no other symptoms of neurodivergence
@@valerialopez-md1buYou can be nonverbal and still say some words. Notice how any utterance that is more than one word is said together every time? He can say "Orel move!" Or "Shut up!" But he can't say "Move it, Orel" or "Stop talking." He can't really seem to formulate unique sentences and put the words he knows together.
I remember first watching this and relating to oral because my younger brother has special needs to and I helped to take care of him a lot but then I just felt bad and honestly frustrated because from what we see I can’t tell if his neuropical or Neurodivergent but the key problem is the parents don’t give him attention or discipline.
7:27 and 8:55 is so adorable cause they're literally such best friends. Brothers beyond blood. especially the "cake...? cake! ...yummy? Yummy." and then they both smile knowingly like... idk they understand each other and relax "mine :)" they know theyre both best friends
As someone who works with special education kids the way these parents act is so infuriating. Like obviously we already knew they were bad parents with how they treat orel but still.
Orel tried quite hard to be a good brother, at least at first. Shapey and Block were able to help eachother grow up too, learning to be quiet at times and to speak more clearly. They just need more attention and they were able to provide it to eachother as brothers
One of the scrapped lost episodes actually consisted of Shapey and Block getting an episode dedicated to themselves and their interactions helping each other
@@CaselliEntertainment moral orel has the potential for that. The episodes are very short and there's just do much ground to cover for so many characters
“Mommy… When I’m thirsty, it feels how I feel when I’m alone” Is the only full sentence we get from Shapey in the show and it’s such a tragically sad line. He’s been emotionally trained to believe that he can only receive affection from Bloberta when she breastfeeds him because she neglects Shapey in every other aspect of raising him. The genuine confusion on her face also tells us that Bloberta is entirely ignorant to her neglect/bad parenting.
One of my favorite small details of the show is whenever shapee and block get accidentally swapped, they actually put block in place of shapee in the intro. Also Clay notices the swap but doesn't care because block is less annoying so whenever orels tries to tell bitchberta that it's actually not shapee, clay make sure to say something loud/change the subject
