I picked up one of the wallets - the key holder would never be able to handle all of my keys. Maybe I'll go back sometime and pick up 2 of them but the budget is a little too tight right now.
Dad of two (boy 7 and girl 4) and I’ve been carrying for 15ish years religiously. I bring a small non-tactical looking day pack with me whenever we’re going somewhere. Nobody looks at you weird if you have a backpack in public when you have kids. On Body EDC: - Glock 49 with SRO or 48MOS with 507k - Tenicor AIWB holster - Spare mag on neomag clip - Streamlight Macrostream USB - Benchmade Bailout knife - Agonic belt Pack: - Water bottle because someone is always thirsty - Goldfish, beef jerky, and protein bars because someone is always hungry - 2 small coloring books - Crayons/markers - wet wipes - Small IFAK with 1 CAT7 and 2 SWAT TQ’s (it can be hard to get a CAT on a tiny kid limb) -Boo-boo bandaid/med kit - Leatherman wingman - Spare mag - 2AAA Petzl headlamp - Small Anker battery pack - 2 AirTags with safety pin holders to attach to under kids clothing 😮if we’re going somewhere like the mall where there are a lot of people
Love all your carry options. Mine are simple. Glock (43 or 19), Shadow Systems CR920 or Kahr P380. Different seasons, different clothing and destinations guide my choices. Appreciate all your thought train sharing.
Woohoo! I’m a simple dad, been carrying since 2015, have kids 2018. And moving forward to even typing this here at work, I am armed. I conceal wherever I go unless I see a metal detector, I have to go back to my car and drop off Lol. I started with G42 then traded that to a G43x when it came out until today. I like it simple. Goodluck to all fathers! We got this!
Did not expect to see the KDS9C Rail in your EDC but I’m glad to see it! Still in the process of testing the reliability on mine as I do some recoil spring testing. Can’t wait for more content on it!!!
If I carry a gun around town, it’s usually a S&W Model 442. On the ranch, I carry Colt 1911 or a Ruger Blackhawk (45 Long Colt) and a Taurus .22 snub-nose revolver loaded with birdshot ( for rattlers).
My wife and I still carry our Walther PPS M2's. Both were the LE option with night sights and 6/7/8 round mags. Still a great pistol. Wallet/card combo is a FloFold single sided slip. Very minimal. iPhone and rotating light/blade combo depending on circumstances.
I love the Walther PPS M2. I rarely carry because I work from home and I live in Amish country so my human contact is minimal. On the rare occasion that I do, that or my shield are usually what I grab.
Dad edc here, Walther PDP Pro SD w/ Holosun scs, ZRTS 15lbs spring, herrington comp, Streamlight tlr HLX, Werkz holster, NeoMag spare mag. Or 3" Colt Python w/ Wilson Combat sights, Altamont boot cut grips, custom action job. Galco Revenger Holster. Those are the two pistols I carry, totally depends on what environment I'm in. Prefer my Colt for edc because South Dakota doesn't mind open carry, it's pretty common actually in my part of the state and I have a few speed strips and Safarilands loaded with snake shot in my truck for the Rattlers. Not much .357 magnum can't handle. The Walther I carry AIWB. Definitely the "going into town" low profile, big threat situation gun. I don't like carrying IWB while working so it's more or less the walking around, gas station etc. carry. Anything with high traffic, lots of people, transitional spaces, fucking Walmart, that's where the Walther comes in. Additionally I carry my trusty Leatherman and my Shivworks clinch pick. I don't carry trauma kits on my person. We've got them in the truck. Keys, Wallet, Phone, fingernail clippers, and a marble my little boy gave me. It's my good luck charm.
I am a G45 carry guy with a PMM comp on the front. It has a Holosun SCS-MOS dot on it, so no plate BS involved. Other carry guns are a Staccato P and a G34 with a custom slide, both running RMR's. All three are carried AIWB. I will get a slimmer macro-sized gun some day. Spare mags for all are all estendos in the 21-rd size - just one. My knife is a Benchie big Adamas auto. It only cuts meat, namely myself so far. A little Case old-timey is used for boxes etc.
I really want a bul tac, but man, I just hate carrying full size grips these days. R7t has filled my 'larger' gun need pretty good. Still carry my p938 out on the quick though.
I remember seeing the Kimber when it came out very good looking in black, and of course the PX4 Storm, I like the 92 Beretta compact DA . JUST CARRY THE ONE YOU DON'T MIND HAVING IN THE EVIDENCE LOCKER FOR 2 YEARS .
My carry rotation: 1. CZ P07 (o light (it always works), 507c and talon grips in a Phlster holster - most often 2. Sig X Macro w/ Icarus frame, Romeo 0 and TLR 7a in a tier 1 w/ side car - 2nd most often Walther PPS M2, LE edition - when traveling out of state or when I’m sure I don’t need a gun FN 509T - 507c, TLR 1 light in a Phlster - if I’m out super late and headed to a sketchy area 17 +1 and 24 round spare mag
Man I'm simple, glock 27 in a vedder light tuck, 23 mag in my pocket, watch, keys, wallet, zt folder. I have a bag that i take with me in the car. Usually pain relievers, flashlight, eyeglass wipes, another mag, nail clippers, couple energy bars etc......
My regular carry: G19.5 w/ TLR7HLX. Loaded with Federal HST 124 grain and a spare G17 mag. My work carry: G17.5 w/ TLR1HL. Loaded with 124 grain Speer Gold Dot & two extra magazines. Gym carry/ Lazy day carry: G42 in an Alabama Pocket Holster loaded with 90 grain Speer Gold Dot.
Just a heads up, I use a similar "key case" to hold my bump key set and store a washer on my main set of keys. Carrying this might not be legal in your state, not an issue in FL though 6'2, 208: Walther PDP+mag, Coldsteel Mini Tuff, OLight Arkfeld, small pen, LM Crunch, bump keys - The great thing with the key case/holder is that it gives you that 90deg option, letting you jiggle it and torque as needed much easier than with just the key :)
Lately I’ve been carrying the clock 43. I usually don’t carry a knife but when I do, it is zero tolerance 560 or 506, I can’t recall. When not playing golf and concealment is less of an issue. It’s Glock 19 in the tier one holster. Only modification has been the tungsten guide-rod. I do plan on adapting to an extended slide release. I have a good first aid kit and the card. Pretty much only carry the wallet woodshop or having dinner. I am also one of those guys who tends to leave their phone in the car or sometimes forget it at home when going to work. I wanted to be as minimal , and stress free as possible.
Right now I am caring my Beretta 92x compact when I carry appendix in the summer. Winter appendix I carry my CZ P09 with 19round magazine. When I carry for my work it’s my Glock 45. Winter carry at the 430 I carry my M&P 2.0 or my Canik Mete SFT Pro
I’m carrying a PDP Match Steel Frame. I’m a taller guy, so 5” guns aren’t difficult to carry. I prefer them over 4” pistols. Steel frame because 1, I lift weights lol and 2 because it’s the softest shooter I own. ZRTS long stroke guide rod, 14lb spring. LokGrips palmswell bogey grips and 507Comp. Oh! TLR1-HL as well
bruh - I love the PDP Match SF - but that's a big sucker to be carrying! For a heavier gun - the longer ones stabilize better in the holster - but still that's a big boy!
@@TheHumbleMarksman when I was younger I carried a 1911 with a chip power 10 for about a year. Didn’t mind the weight. So somewhere in my mind: all guns are supposed to weigh north of 36oz 😂 I’m considering buying the compact SF to carry but those 4” guns like to dip and tilt forward vs the longer slide options. At least for me. I’m 6’3 218lbs
DR920P with a Swampfox Justice 2 in a.3D printed minimalist trigger guard holster on a Comfort Concealment belt with a Sticky belt slide spare mag holder. Super light , no printing and 35 rounds on tap
Just about all my EDC pistols are PX4s in different sizes and flavors. Great pistols. As for the sweepstakes, Prolly the Cybertruck. They're fugly and pretty at the same time. The more you look at them, the more you like them.
Ahhhh, a fellow Metal Complex follower... Those are really nice knives, and not as stupid crazy as some out there. I'm a Velociraptor kinda guy, but at the moment, I'd probably take the cash.
CZ RAMI with Cajun Gun Works trigger job and Romeo X (similar in size to the Langdon, which I wish I could shoot to compare). Next size is my warmed over Gen 4 Glock 23 (which also shoots 9mm & 357sig to be a 19 or a 32). Next size is my warmed over Sig P226 RX Legion (sweet shooter that lead me to the CZ). Open carry wilderness is a warmed over FN FNX 45 Tactical with a Romeo 2, which shoots 45ACP as well as 45 Super game loads). And let’s not forget my diminutive Ruger LCP Max with 12+1 380 and a Viridian laser (one has to be careful not to forget they have it on!). Thanks for sharing👍 Cheers, Tony
My EDC - Sig P365 X-Macro with M Carbo trigger and spring kit, Sig Foxtrot1, Sig Romeo X and Hogue grip in Black Point Tactical holsters IWB summer and OWB winter
Nice edc choices, I carry the LTT px4 compact sometimes too excellent gun. Vedder makes a really nice holster for them too. Otherwise I'm carrying a sig ultra compact 1911 45
I haven't tried the kydex one, but the one I got in the box with the Ruger lcp max worked great, and also, a leather one for the lcp max from relentless tactical on Amazon fits great as well.
My primary edc is a Glock 48 but when I need deep concealment I carry a browning 1911 .380. I also always travel with a first aid kit and even have one clipped on my range bag.
I never thought I would appreciate a comped 9mm.; after shooting the Specter comp, I had to buy it. You my like Grand power pistols. Their striker fired Q series is my preference but you may like their single/double action P and K series pistols ( rotating barrel, yet slimmer and more refined than the Storm.)
@@TheHumbleMarksman The double/single GPs use the same frame slide and barrel as the Q series. If I wanted to replace the Baretta with something similar, ( but in my opinion better) the GP would be my choice. ( I am 56yrs old and proclaim no loyalty to any specific brands or platforms)
It’s hard to find a reputable edc video that isn’t paid in full by product advertisements. Good video, woukd just rather see people review items they purchased with their own money from people who work 40 blue collar jobs.
Have had a couple holster made by JM Custom Kydex and love them. They have a glorious variety. They were able to fit steel frame Walthers as well as the normal Glock/Sig/S&W with a bunch of different light/red dot combos. And fun colors to keep me from mixing them up
Adding a complication to my pistols because of the proximity and random curiosity of children in the household is exactly why rarely carry or use any of my Glocks (plus they suck 😆) and Why P30, PX4, 92Comp, P01 or P07 or the like is where it's at for EDC.
S&W Bodyguard 2.0, sig P-938 legion, early 80’s P-226 and Night Hawk Shadow Hawk Commander in .45. Sometimes I carry an XDS or Shield in .45 ACP. I feel adequate with 5-6 shots and a reload or two, I believe feeling a need for massive capacity is in your mind not a reality, I patrolled the worst streets in Miami with a revolver for many years, but maybe luck plays a part in my survival. My EDC knives are a Benchmade Casbah, or my TKell NightStalker fixed blade.Great video, thanks again
Ever shoot the XDS in 9mm and how did it feel compared to the .45 version? Or vice versa. Ex had one in 9mm and I shot better with it than my XD9, XDE .45, or any of my 1911s 😂 So.. been looking for one in .45 for years now. Found a couple in .40 pretty cheap, plenty more 9s, hate to buy new and find out it isn’t anything close to the same ya know ? In that regard.. the XDE in 45… it’s a good piece. SA/DA, but more of a ‘truck gun’ for me. 3.3” gives it a bit of muzzle flip regardless of grip. I’ve got big hands and still had it two-stroke the trigger. Save that one for dealing with snakes, Sasquatch, whatever… Not going to carry that & put innocents or myself in danger.
@@JimVaught-qm6gf I have two XDS 3.3” , because my son took up a religious life and gave one back to my safe, and I have a Performance Center Shield in .45. The Shield has ports that reduce recoil, but good lord, those ports make it filthy as you shoot it.
I had the Kimber KDS9. Most expensive crap gun I've ever bought. (That was a sample of 1). Current EDC... Shadow Systems MR 920. Flawless and accurate. AMTAC fixed Blade and a small Leatherman, Keys, phone, etc. Like you I have med kit in the car, used once on the highway. The Sig Fusion will be in the rotation with my Tier 1 Concealed holster arrives.
I’m with you on do/Sa for the kids, carry a shadow line from cz custom shop, just couldn’t make my self bite the bullet and get the pro tek.. but that fat wad of cash I’d take 2 ( Utah.. get me ✌️
Down in the heat and hell scape of south Florida I pocket carry a lot. LCP 2 in 380 till I can get a bodyguard 2.0. Or occasionally a skinny 9 with 15 rounds. And I would take the 100k.
My EDC is either the G43X or the Shield Plus with a safety depending on whether the grandkids are with us or not. Ruger LCR chambered in 357 in my pocket and knife is a Benchmade Osborne 940 along with a EDC27 light. I also have a glass breaker on my key ring cuz ya just never know. And last but not least a can of POM pepper spray. I love 5.11 tactical pants. Great trucking britches especially traveling through Comifornia. Oh and watch is the Gshock GWG2000. Love it!
M&p shield plus w/ 507k and tlr6. Have tried switching to some new hotness (365 macro, hellcat pro, cr920p) but find myself buying and selling and coming back to the shield everytime. Civivi praxis folding knife for all those amazon box breakdowns.
@@nycgrafix I love my P07. I got all the magic done by Cajun Gunworks and man is it a dream to shoot/carry. It’s definitely my GTW pistol even over my P226. No fancy red dot or anything. I love that gun.
Most of the time I'm carrying a Hellcat Pro with a Holosun 407K, 6 MOA dot, in a Muddy River appendix holster. I live in Florida so it's hot 8 months of the year. The gun disappears beneath a thin T-shirt. My hip carry is a Sig 320 compact in a Mitch Rosen/Sig leather holster. Holosun 507C, 6 MOA dot on that one. Knives, I have too many, but always have one on me. One item you did not mention is a flashlight. I have 2 I use. One is a small S&W branded model with 2 brightness levels and a strobe. The other is a Coast Tactical with impact ridges on both ends. My wife and I are taking the WOFT self defense course in October and they are big on carrying a flashlight for many reasons.
I deal with carrying a P229 Legion for the same reasons. I feel more comfortable appendix and around my kids when I have the double action backup. I've accidently knocked a safety off, but I've yet to accidently cock the hammer.
I'm usually rocking shorts and I live in Amish country so my EDC is very light. Ridge wallet Keysmart Gerber Dime Olight keychain light On the very rare occasion that I have a Facebook Marketplace meet up or headed into the city, I usually grab my Shield or Walther PPS M2. I have a ton of other blade, pistol, and light options but usually just take the minimum in case of that one in 100,000 encounter
MR920 sans light for the summer. Add the TLR7 for the winter. I have a holster setup for my Prodigy but I’m not confident flipping the safety off in an emergency.
As a fellow single action lover, let me recommend the Wilson Combat SFX9 to you. Great ergos, fantastic trigger, 15+1 and extremely accurate. It conceals easily in any attire - it's my primary EDC all year long. Even in the summer with a tighter fitting t-shirt on there's no issue. Also using a JM Custom Kydex holster for it.
@@bowlinrl I have a bunch of high end pistols in my inventory and never carry them for self defense. Just a bit of advice here. If you ever need to use it to defend yourself it will be stuck in an evidence locker for a long time. Also; cops are human too. A many of nice guns have went missing out of said evidence locker. That’s why I carry cheap, highly reliable pistols daily. Nobody is going to gamble their job on stealing a shield plus, G43X, or a P365. TIFWIW.
@@DanielJohnson-ot8wj I couldn’t care less about that. If the day ever came and the gun had to sit in an evidence locker or was lost then so be it. I enjoy shooting and training with my 1911/2011s so much more than the plastic striker fired pistols, and I can afford to replace one.
@@bowlinrl they are definitely without a doubt the most fun for sure and to be honest I fight the urge to not carry mine. I might take a bit of that thought process with me too. It sux leaving such nice things just sitting in a gun cabinet and just toy with them at the range every now and then. Some are definitely in my 401G collection for the kids to inherit one day so definitely can’t lose them. Most of my kids have already picked the ones they hope to inherit one day lol. None of them picked a plastic one 😂
@@DanielJohnson-ot8wj Smart kids. And I hear ya man, I have quite a few high dollar 2011s and none are safe queens. They’re run hard, pretty much the only pistols I shoot anymore, they’re just so much more enjoyable. Start carrying those things man, that’s what they’re made for. Your odds of ever being in a shooting as a civilian are incredibly low. But if you are involved in one, I’d want to be carrying what I shoot the best and train with the most.
I have one - the muzzle is a bit short - while I like the grip length and weight the muzzle length makes it want to turn out on me - I prefer the way the Tac carries without a magwell.
