I always feel they get a boost of at least half a foot putting a hand down on a head, shoulder or ball before dunking. Mac skied for that one! Slow mo doesn’t lie!
the judges this year penalizing for 1 dunk miss regardless of how impressive the dunk was definitely took some air out of it. Participants were getting conservative so as to make it the first try 😮💨
Dawg that couch looking dunk AG did like he was sitting in mid air was one of the greatest Dunks Eva💯💪 🐐 And personally I think he Beat Zach twice .or jus for y'all sake at least onces 💯💪🐐
They need to change the scoring system back to the ‘out of 10’ for each judge scale, the issue of everyone hating the judges would probably be solved that way. Giving a guy a 48 or 49 out of 50 is way too picky, as it’s not really possible to perform a ‘perfect’ dunk The decimal average scoring also ruins the chance of seeing another duel like Lavine & Gordon
That was the problem before though. A single point made a major difference resulting in some contestants being robbed. This scoring system avoids situations like that. I like this more.
I would say only the judges, not Brown. Dude, Jaylen actually decided to compete when there are other All-Stars refusing to do so. His dunks were only OK but the judges should have been doing their jobs. Can't be all on the dunkers.
NBA depriving him of his chance so he is making a statement on a way where he can still create an exposure and hopefully make a spot in the magic main roster having the g league championship at hand.
NBA needs to pick the judges seriously and have clear rules to the judging so that these players can loosen up and make it a show instead of taking the air out of the room with terrible and inconsistent scores.
Zach lavine Nate Robinson Spud Webb Mac Aaron Gordon unfortunately never won so he isn't in the least Hell I didn't even put Vince because he only won 1
Impressive dunks but he didn't deserve to be there. If the NBA is going to allow non-NBA players and non-NBA All-Stars to compete, invite Jordan Kilganon to compete.
Props to McClung! He's a very great dunker but this says the NBA doesn't have any real great players that play in the league who can actually compete in the once prestigious competition! Its kinda sad tbh
Why sad though? Good dunker doesnt mean Good basketball player.. better to spend hours in gym or court to become better overall, rather than just a dunker.
@@kacalllove2914exactly. After 40 years of dunk contest, dunking has become a specialty and NBA players are not focusing so much on it. Also, the All-NBA and superstars are afraid to participate and look bad or not won it and prefer not to jeopardize their legacy.
This was the worst dunk contest I've ever watched. I randomly checked in on it after years of ignoring the nba, definitely a waste of time. I would have been so angry and disappointed if I shelled out all the money for this bs.
