I wish more legendary weapons used these design motifs. I know the art team cranks out amazing looking themed weapons but supplementing those with some classic D1 sci-fi kitbash ones again would be cool too.
@@innocuous373 not many do at the moment but any weapon from just a little while ago even still has sight options. there are pulses, autos, sidearms, handcannons, scouts, and more
We need all the rise of iron legendaries back in D2. The designs was so unique and solid. Honestly as a whole we need more legendaries that look like they could be exotics like D1
You posted this 10 months ago but I believe they're planning on bringing back some TDB/TTK legendaries and (maybe) exotics with the new raid coming up. I personally hope for Crota's End but KF would be awesome too.
Bro I really miss some of these weapons... I miss the chroma mechanic, the forge weapons in D2 didn't do it quite as well. And all the Fallen themed weapons looked amazing. The majority of the faction weapons were vibrant. Hell, there are some rare blue weapons I kept just because they had cool names.
nice that you mentioned doctor nope. everyone went to buy shadow price with their vanguard marks and nobody bought doctor nope. except me. i took it to pvp all the way up to rise of iron until i had to buy the game a second time if i wanted rise of iron, and i wasnt willing to put another 100 quid into a game ive already spent 300 quid on. as for hopscotch pilgrim, would have been nice to mention that there was a phase in destiny where hopscotch and the current trials pulse (messenger) was a 2 burst kill. also worth mentioning the the strangers rifle was the *only* pulse that had full auto as an intrinsic perk. red spectre was a cool gun, and a clear nod to untold lore that maybe red death was a red spectre that its owner had used and abused its way into a much more sinister weapon. i know im way too late for this series but i want to mention a few guns you missed that were totally more mentionable than some in this series: -broken truth LR1 was a dead orbit sniper that had the potential to roll both final round and armour piercing, which the only other possible weapon to do so was effridites spear, however broken truth LR1 also had the ambush scope, which gave it an intrinsic snapshot sight, which spear didnt have. it was a PVP monster. (also it was initially modelled after the starter sniper rifle you got, also known as the LR1, as dead orbit weapons resembled starter weapons) -77 wizard was a fusion rifle that was the only fusion rifle that could roll with armour piercing rounds, and before the update post taken king that change armour piercing rounds capabilities, this gun could shoot through walls if pressed against them, and light cover no matter the distance. -ill will was a legendary hand cannon that had the highest impact to date, and had the chance to run range finder and luck in the chamber, which many people would use as a mid range substitute when deciding not to snipe on certain maps. it was most often paired with hunters, as a single initial body shot would lower the opponent down in health enough for a body hit with a throwing knife to kill them. bang-throw, bang-throw.
I would honestly not mind it if bungo just one day decides to bring back all of the weapons from D1. It would give a huge boost to weapon uniqueness instead of just seeing the same “best” weapon being used per season
18:20 This weapon right here, the Hopscotch Pilgrim was amazing before it's impact was nerfed. I farmed Strikes for weeks to get it. It had 100% stability and was a two burst kill if you hit the head, I did so good in PvP for the time I had the weapon before Bungie killed it. Good times.
I played quite a bit of Destiny. Now recently with the nightfall rewards being reprised loot from Destiny 1, I have been excited. Waiting for Comedian to be in rotation so I can get my hands on it. Enjoyed it in D1.
@@Vaultyboi22 well i finally got it and it feels good. enjoying it in PvE. shouldn't diss a weapon by frame. unless its a rapid sniper in which its almost always bad.
@@spacemantiss I'm not saying you can't enjoy it, I enjoy worse weapons all the time. I just don't see a scenario where you use it in a raid or high end nightfall over a slug. Also rapid fires have the best dps out of all snipes, they always have.
The Dark Below Auto Rifle For The People was my bread and butter and carried me through all of that whole year. Still sitting on my Warlock in D1 and it's my baby. Only one Exotic Auto had a similar stat distribution and that was the exotic Zhalo Supercell. So if I can't get my baby back in D2, hopefully Zhalo comes back at least. There's a rare in D2 that uses FTP's model, Cuboid ARu.
19:16 I miss Another N.I.T.C. it was so fun to use. It was my raid workhorse for a time before little lamplight. I also thought the abbreviation was another night in the city, kina like that duran duran song, instead of another nail in the coffin.
Mentioned efrideet’s spear but didn’t talk about final round and how much it changed the meta when it came out. Until the nerf every single crucible match had people shooting their first couple shots just to get the free body shot kill!
1000 Yard Stare was the best sniper in the game for damn near everything. Literally the only sniper that rivalled it was Ex-machina but... that recoil though.
the wail from future war cult had the highest range in combination with explosive rounds. i was one of the first explosive round users cause it was super good a teamshoting. then i like to believe they made sunshot in the imagine of the wail because both only had 8 in the mag
I remember when me and some random tried so hard trying to get dreadfang and when we got it was really cool wish they made more unique weapons and not the same one but a different color
i swear there's only like 1 autorifle in destiny 1 with that drum mag actually ON the model [Sahara AR-2] and not just in the picture, also are like half of these Inventory icon pics wrong? or am I going crazy.
i watch these vids and think damn....... i really miss d1 because we had so much to choose from and i know that we still kinda have that in d2 but man from the guns to the glowing shaders theres so much i hope they bring back but also come up with new stuff like they have been.
The Devil you dont was my first ever legrndary. I rolled with field scout and clow cardridge, i think i could have like a 13 or 16 mag which was insane in D1. After the field scout nerf it sadly only had 5 tho
Where are these grounded to earth "realistic" yet scifi heavy designs? We keep getting this fancy schmancy shit all the time.. and all of the new handcannons *not* from the season pass use the SAME d1 handcannon sounds.. and shotguns, all sound like felwinter.
