Many films are well shot.
Few are uniquely creative and beautiful.
And even less look beyond breathtaking.
There are films with outstanding scenes.
And there are films where literally every single frame is like a painting.
Where composition, framing, lighting, colors create something only possible with moving images.
Cinematography that advance the medium.
To clarify: I haven't included classically great shot movies like Heat, Se7en. Apocalypse Now and hundreds more.
I clipped all cinemascope movies to 2:40 with 4:3 and 16:9 movies having black bars.
