The other main game I play, rain world, doesn’t have a marker for where you are on the map along with you having to scroll through three layers. I’ve mastered looking at the shape of rooms and going “yep that’s where I am exactly”

@@little_lord_tam in Deepnest there’s some key areas that help you get a sense of where you are. Waterways had nothing except dung defender and maybe flukemother arena assuming you actually find your way to it

I don't knwo fi ti was just me, but I don't really have that much of a nightmarish situation in Deepnest. I think it wa sbecaus eof a different route or soemthing and walked into the spider nest place first and got a stag station.

Little-know fact: the wayward compass multiplies the knigh’s speed by 15 when stationary, although this is cancelled by movement.

Help I'm at royal waterways and I can't find cornifer, the bugs here are really annoying

@@Niiloc-kg9cv it's overall a hard and unpleasant location, and Cornifer is also pretty far away from the entrance (if you enter for the first time). But it's possible to get to him, you just have to aim to the upper left corner of the map (there's also an exit to another, already familiar location, so it'll be worth it to check there)

@@faseplay. I found cornifer and got the map, and fungal wastes and royal waterways connects, now my goal is to explore the right side of royal waterways

So I defeated the dung defender boss and honestly it was kind of easy and fun at the same time, now I explored the other half of city of tears and went to the top, there seem to be a room where there alot of enemies and once u enter u can't get out unless you clear the waves, I always die cuz I lag and it's annoying

fungal wastes is absolute hell to go through before you get ismas tear, mainly because of acid pools

After my first playthrough, I started playing Steel Soul. During my runs, I only put the compass on when I was getting flames for Grimmchild. And even then, I probably could've left the compass off if I wanted Oh and btw if you're curious: Beat Steel Soul on my third run. First was ended by the Husk Guard by the grub on the top right of Crossroads, second ended by the Belfly blitz in Trial of the Conqueror.
