In today’s video, I give you a walk-around of (almost) every Junkyard and eBay part on my Honda Civic Build! This car was far from “mint” when I first got it (and still is). But I’ve made big improvements by replacing and fixing parts of the years. Enjoy!
The Junkyard and eBay have been a huge resource for my Honda Civic over the years. I get a lot of compliments on this car, but many assume the Civic has always been this clean or original. In my opinion, what makes a clean Civic is more than a good looking engine bay or wheels. It’s a combination of a lot of little things to get the car back to a “fresher” state. In my case, I enjoy the OEM+ look, so many of my parts were to replace worn/broken parts. It sounds funny when I say it, but clean Honda parts are getting harder to come by. Do it while you can!
The Junkyard is a great place for body panels, trim pieces, interiors, and the occasional OEM accessories. Most of my “cooler” parts were bought off parts cars or eBay. For things like steering wheels, lips, etc, I would recommend checking facebook or even forums that still exist. Most of these improvements don’t happen overnight, so have patience and the right parts will come along. I think some of my Civic’s biggest improvements were the interior and small exterior bits that added up. Overall, I saved a ton of money using these resources and love the look, feel, smell of the car.
I hope this video helps put things into perspective that not everything is clean to begin with and it takes time and attention to detail. Even then, it can still only look clean on the internet lol!
