I love telling this story: I was in 5th grade reading a gaming magazine and the featured article was about Operation Genesis Jurassic Park and I went home that day thinking nothing of it and sure enough my Mom comes home with an EB Games bag with a PS2, memory card and Operation Genesis. This was in the mid to late 2000s, and years later I still have that PS2 and Copy of JPOG.

I agree, the talking raptor is blown way out of proportion. Danger Zone and Scan Command were two of my favorite games as a kid, and I hate that I can't actually play Scan Command without building a retro gaming PC to play it because either it's actually impossible to pass through a serial connection to a virtual machine or at least I can't figure out how to do it. (I also can't figure out how to pass through sound from my VM to my speakers). Funny thing is, I got The Lost World: Chaos Island to run on my Windows 10 pc just fine, but none of the JP3 games will run on anything other than a VM running XP. I haven't played Universal Studios Theme Park Adventure in over a decade, but I don't remember hating it that much, I liked playing it. I have Dino Defender, but I never got that far in the game and I've held off on playing it until I figure out this whole VM thing and get sound working. Never heard of Dino Battles or Operation Genesis until this video nor the Pokedex I mean Dino Dex, and I didn't get a GBA until several years after JP3 came out.

I hate how I can't tell if you're mispronouncing the dinosaur names on purpose of just can't pronounce them.

I've played that Jurassic Park 3 Arcade Shooter a few times. The Dave & Busters about half an hour away from my house has it. It's pretty fun. It plays essentially like any other First Person Light-Gun On-Rails Shooter, like Time Crisis or House of the Dead and so on.

Oh thank god!! I needed this, thank you MIB!! (The reason is the weather here is really, and I mean REALLY bad, thought the window would break TWICE!!!) Also I think my local comic shop/arcade has a Jurassic park III arcade, or at least did. And uhhh, yeah I didn’t even get past level one, it’s kinda hard, or I kinda suck at it.

Ah Danger Zone I played that a lot when I was a kid it is a lot of fun, and of course Operation Genesises is a classic.

If Jurassic Park Survival on PS2, from Savage Entertainment had not been canceled before its scheduled release on November 14, 2001. It would definitely have been the best game based on JP 3. It would have been an amazing game for the PS2. If you've never heard of this canceled game, I recommend watching my video I made about this game.

Unfortunately, I was but a mere child of 3-ish by the time JP III was in theaters. So, (used copy of that shitty Universal GameCube game I only got for Back To The Future notwithstanding) my first JP game wouldn’t come until 2015’s LEGO Jurassic World. I really dug that game and I am both anticipating/dreading hearing your thoughts on it, MIB.

My Brother Had Got A VHS Of Jurassic Park 3 From Our Local Blockbuster, & He Had Gone Down To The Basement To Watch It. I Don't Remember Why I Went Down There, But, I Walked In During The Part Where The Spinosaurus Killed The T-Rex, & I WAS ABSOLUTELY TERRIFIED. I Haven't Been Able To Sit Through The Film Until Relatively Recently.

Man, Operation Genesis is the shit. I don't even like park management games and yet I still boot it up from time to time. LEGO Jurassic World is still my favorite game related to the Jurassic franchise, though. I just like LEGO games.

13:06 Got to play it at a roller ring back as a kid, from what I remember the game was really solid. I've been trying to see if any of the cabinets exist market wise but its hard to track down from what I've seen. Usually its questionable if working parts and this one guy selling an arcade ad for the game ( if they still have it, I've stopped hunting for it for about 2ish years mostly cause as fun as it would be to own one, I don't have a massive cabinet budget for something like that)

I e been waiting since the Jurassic Park games video for this just so I can finally figure out what JP game I played so much as a kid. It was Danger Zone, which I loved the atmosphere of but got was that game hard. I can still hear YOU OVERHEATED THE ENGINE in my head to this day.

The main reason they tried to replace the T-Rex with the Spinosaurus in JP3 was because of at the time new scientific discoveries that suggested that the T-Rex may have been more of a cowardly scavenger than a fierce predator. The team making the movie wanted to display these discoveries in the film. Thinking the T-Rex could no longer be the face of the franchise because of these discoveries and thought they needed a new face. A paleontology consultant suggested the Spinnosaururs and the film went with that. But of course, there is no replacing the T-Rex as the coolest dinosaur ever despite whatever the science says.

MiB needs to do more Jurassic park content

The JP3 games were a big part of my childhood (specifically the PC ones). All of them were great and have a lot of fun memories from playing them with friends and family. Also after 23 years my Scanner from Scan Command still works, lol.

I have been waiting for this since I was a Padawan and my Jedi master told me “one day, MIB will be making videos on Jurassic Park”. Glad to see this video. 12:37 ah my favorite arcade game… I didn’t go to many arcades. I had so many memories of going to Shakey’s pizza parlor and playing this game, it was so fun. Honestly MIB, you missed out on this game, as it can’t be found. Unfortunately my local Shakey’s took it away, never knew what happened to it but I can never go back to that particular Shakey’s. NEVER! That’s it. That’s my story. Here’s hoping this game gets re-released on home consoles someday.

Oh hey! I remember playing that Jurassic park 3 arcade game. It was a lot of fun from what I remember, although it’s been years. I was kinda shocked to hear that it’s hard to find.

I'm going to be honest with you guys, I still think JP3 still the worst of the franchise, even after Dominion. Now, I'm not here to defend Dominion that hard. JP3 might be a tipical Jurassic Park movie yeah, but that's just it, it is just more of the same, the characters got trapped on the island, that's the plot, simply as that, nothing that original. Dominion at least tried to be something different, and I respect that. But that's just me, you know.

These videos are excellent, I can’t wait for the next one! There is not nearly as many Jurassic World games, so I’d do an “everything else” video and with the JW games too. Thanks!
