I always like to have one of these videos on while I make breakfast in the morning. It's a difficult task scrambling the eggs and marking down the titles I want but I do what I have to do for the love of the game! Keep on keeping on Heath

Thanks, I ordered 7 cult films, some before they marketed them as cult. ( these were my go-to yearly watches on TV before VHS and computers. Upgrading my bare-bones DVDs. I thought I saw Squirm, but I went to the theater to see some film about a crashed plane and folks surviving and having to eat human flesh to survive. I heard screams from the next room. They were watching squirm. I love Kino Lorber. Such a wide variety of films. They look so awesome and serious on the self. Also, I am now tarifolding most of my DVDs, Blu-rays, and 4ks. Turns out, It's a great idea. Cheers

Heath first of all I consider you a film historian now. And second, you definitely got me into the film noir. Speaking of that I came across a little fun movie called Pitfall at a Goodwill. What a find. Why would anyone give this film away?

Last Year at Marienbad makes Alphaville look logical. French Noir is great, and so is Japanese Noir. Check out some of the Japanese gangster movies you've recently highlighted. Thanks as always!

It's been a while since I've watched my Last Year at Marienbad blu from Kino. I remember it being dreamlike and almost Twilight Zone-esque. I can imagine it only looking more fantastic on 4k. Heath, thanks as always. You are awesome with the work you put in for all of us, and it is appreciated!

Pittsburgher here. Just an FYI...the stadium where Sudden Death was set (Pittsburgh Civic Arena) was torn down in late 2011/early 2012. 😢

I'm still waiting for your chance to interview the President and owner of Mondo Macabro films. They have put out some of the rarest and amazing movies. Mondo Macabro says they want to restore and put out an almost lost Japanese movie called 'The Bloody Sword of the 99th Virgin' but it still hasn't happened for reasons unknown.

Some incredible movies have just vanished eg Le Grand Meaulnes by Jean Gabriel Albicocco. Very evocative movie based on the magical book of the same name by Alain Fournier. There were two movie adaptations I believe

I agree that I’m not going to begrudge any movie (even one I never want to see again) getting an HD release. I assume the attitude comes from the idea (not necessarily all wrong) that there are a limited number of releases and resources any company will have and certain movies perhaps have a greater or wider cultural significance than others and should therefore be prioritized.

I think the only movies that could utilize 8k on home video would be movies shot on 65mm film. Doubtful it'll ever happen though.

Hello Heath! How is your viewing of Dark Shadows going? Got up to the storylines of Laura and Barnabas yet? My favorite show as a kid, ive watched the whole series maybe 4 times. I especially love the very first Barnabas storyline. I hope you enjoy the series too!

have not yet seen ALPHAVILLE, though it is on my Happy List (a list which piles up like the books Burgess Meredith had intended on reading on that episode of THE TWILIGHT ZONE ... that is, until he broke his glasses ... ). I have watched LAST YEAR AT MARIENBAD, in part because it was listed in the initial Medved tome, and found that, while, no, it does not have a traditional story and structure, it is a gorgeous piece of work. Not going to bother with "it's not for everybody", because, seriously, what is? Finally saw NAVAJO JOE not too long ago (ScreenPix), and want to get the disc. Burt Reynolds may not have had a terrific experience with it ... I recall an interview where he spoke of Sergio Corbucci and stated that his career might have gone better had he and Clint Eastwood exchanged Sergios .. but I loved the movie, as I do a lot of 60s Westerns.

Heath, Sinister Cinema has 4 of the Eddie Constantine Lemmy Caution movies for sale. Dames Don't Care 1955, Women Are Like That 1960, Ladies Man 1962, and Your Turn Darling 1963.

Good to know. Unfortunately, Sinister Cinema just burns files to disc. They don't do any restoration work. They're basically a bootlegger that sells stuff that's already out there

It sure why you would want to simply be called a film historian. You have more reach than 10 “film historians” put together. You should probably be hiring or at least purchasing essays to put o your sight because you are more of a publisher of film history/criticism. Anyway seems like you are asking for a downgrade in title.

You worry about monetization on a video where you worry you can't read two words in the summary on the back of the DVD case, yet there is a whole subgenre of videos on youtube where beautiful women try on transparent clothing and nothing happens to them. What a weird world we live in?!
