They tend to sound different too depending on the light or dark side. When Anakin takes Obi-WAN’s blue lightsaber to fight Dooku, it lights up sounding like a Sith blade. When Anakin was saving his mother, it lit up like a Jedi’s saber, despite acting on feelings of the dark side, regardless of the color, it tends to light up with a different sound depending on where they are with the Force. And in that scene where Anakin is about to kill the youngling’s, it sounds like how a sith blade would.

Can we take a second to appreciate how good the sound design for Ezra’s two different lightsabers is?? The two renditions of his saber have probably got to be my favorite sounding sabers in all of Star Wars, or at least top 3. Ahsoka’s white sabers and Luke’s green saber in ROTJ are probably my other two favorites

I love the unstable hiss of Kylo Ren's lightsaber. Something about it just seems menacing. The Darksaber just has so much uniqueness to it too, you know it isn't some ordinary saber

Wow I love this specific saga compilation stuff, every little thing, like explosions, lightsaber ignitions, retractions, repeated words or phrases, all that kinda stuff is awesome as compilations.

One thing I enjoyed about the sequels was the lightsaber ignition sounds.

No doubt about it. For me, Luke's green lightsaber had the best ignition. Soon as he activated it, you hear that iconic whine and you knew someone was getting their a*s handed to them. The fight over the sarlacc set the tone

One of my favorite parts of Jedi Survivor is the lightsaber customization and every different color crystal makes a different ignition and running sound. really nice touch

I like the sound of Vader‘s light saber in episode three of Obi-Wan Kenobi. It’s so chilling.🥶

The lightsaber sound effects from the Prequel Era, Clone Wars Era and Original Era are my favorite ones. So satisfying, intimidating and cool as hell. I love how the darksaber sounds uniquely different from the ordinary vanillla lightsabers, It shows and proves that it really is an ancient relic of The Old Republic Era.

One thing that would greatly benefit Star Wars is each character having a more unique sound, like Stand sounds in Jojo's Bizarre Adventure. Lore-wise it could be explained that the Kyber Crystal is reacting to the person who's wielding the weapon. EA Star Wars Battlefront 2 has some cool unique sounds for the character's Lightsabers. That's where I got the idea from.

When Darth Maul ignites his for the double blade and when Yoda does his those are the 2 best ones cause maul you didn’t expect to be a double blade and we always wondered how yoda would do with a lightsaber and I can say I will never underestimate Yoda in this franchise.
