i don't know who needs to hear this but you are going to be OKAY. God is wachting after you and has a plan for you, you are where you are supposed to be!
Beautiful hair you have! small tip: when you find knots, cut them with scissors instead of pulling! Cutting them makes a clean slice through the hair cuticle which makes it less prone to splitting, however pulling and breaking the hair creates a split end in the process.
hello all I totally forgot to mention that rice water isn’t exactly the best thing ever IF your hair is low porosity or protein sensitive! Please do your research before you try, want you to flourish out here not move backwards you feel me 🤎
Just a tip from a low porosity 4C natural who uses rice water: it works well for me when I apply it underneath my deep conditioner and apply heat. I spray my hair with rice water, add deep conditioner then sit under the drier. Afterwards I rinse it all out with warm warm and pour the rest of my rice water on top and leave it. Does well with stopping my shedding. But for sure do research as she said 😊
@@tyelifestyle2000 A much better tip from a low porosity woman. Use like 1/4 cup of jazmine rice with about 1 gallon of water. Rich water is a cleanser, which mean you may use it often. The rice water people make on here are too concentrated.
@@DeedeeEats yea for sure, some folks do concentrate it too much. But it totally depends on the person. I tend to use 1/4 cup of rice and fill the rest of the mason jar up with distilled water. When it’s time to wash, I put it into a bigger container and add about a half gallon of distilled water to it to dilute it. That’s my perfect mix. I use it once every 2 weeks. I’ve tried it undiluted and it was fine for me, but since I was using it every 2 weeks, I decided to dilute it.
Your hair, even in the blowout state is an entire mood of awesomeness. I love it🙂🥰.. Simplicity of hair products, keeping the hair in basic protective styles and just letting the hair rest definitely helps🙂 taking care of our bodies and mental health helps a lot
You deff can tell by look/feel. Sometimes with protein overload/protein sensitive hair, your hair can feel & look super dry, matted, knotted, stringy & stretchy, and your curls won’t exactly form right when protein is added. Some people are so sensitive to protein that they claim they never recover after rice water! I highly suggest testing a large-ish section towards the back of your head before trying.
Shea moisture didn’t work for me. I started using these products by Nsoromma Hair and my hair grew like crazy. The beginning of the year my hair wasn’t even past my shoulders now it’s down my back
@@shhd2105 I have 4a low porosity hair. My sister also uses their products and she has 4c high porosity hair and it worked so well for both of our hair growth. My hair is on my back now and my sisters has finally reached her shoulders. We have on been using it since November 2020 and saw results in like 2 months
@@justellie2790 I use all of there products but I would say the oil is like a MUST HAVE. And the leave in conditioner because it’s water based so there is no white cast or build up. The products I get last me for some time. I believe the prices are “high” because the business owner makes all the products herself but I know she is doing this thing where if you interact with her reels she dms u a discount code do try that 😁😁😁
most importantly LOVE YOUR HAIR I've been insecure bout mine but everything you said in this video is common sense I cant wait to start my curly hair journey again. thank you so much it means alot
This is the best hair growth tip video I've ever seen. Seriously. I love how you spoke in first person. Sometimes when hair tip videos are in second person, it makes me feel like they didn't actually use the tips themselves. This video had really unique tips. Thank you 👍🏽👍🏽
Apple cider vinegar, rice water, butter, and twist works for mine too! Great explanation of details! Your curls look amazing! BTW I have low porosity so I only use rice water on my roots weekly. I keep it on for two minutes.
Aww thank you! And yes those all together are honestly a recipe for rapid hair growth, I totally forgot to mention that rice water is not the best for low-porosity or protein sensitive hair! Will mention it in caption thank you 🤎
yk whatttt ??? back when I was using just one product in my hair , it was long , curly & healthy !!! you said to take your advice w/a grain of salt but you’re dropping gems !!!
Omg literally watched your volume routine today to help me feel myself again! Thanks for the tips, I’m so excited for the road to long curly hair again 🥰
yes!! try different braiding styles because it if always pulling at the same strands every night then it's more likely that those ones will break because of the tension.
Love your videos so much. Glad you're back and doing well. I know from personal experience how difficult depression and anxiety can be. It's important that you took the time to take care of yourself. God is good all the time, put your trust in Him and you'll always be guided in the right direction. 🥰💜✨
@@laurscurls for your depression, go to the vitamin shoppe for 5HTP. Keeps me from spiraling aall the way down. It's a godsend for people with depression and anxiety.
I find that by finger detangling I was losing more hair than with combs and brushes so I went back. I feel like I was too rough with my hair I want to start washing my hair more often to make the tangles less bad, I tried washing 2x a week and it was definitely better
That’s cool, do what works for you! I thought the same for while, my hair just didn’t want to cooperate lol. Lots of conditioner with slip was definitely needed!
I need to use combs on conditioned hair too bc my roots are always tangled no matter how stretched my hair is & finger detangling will make it worse for the rest of my hair
I was worried for you cuz you weren't posting for so long😭 so glad ur safe❤ thank you for your tips and for still remembering lebanon🥺 it means alot❤ love you so much you're an inspiration for me❤
Your hair is amaaaazing!!! Great advice!I did rice water rinse tonight first time! Yay! Keep you posted!! BTW, I love the ACV trick to get rid of dermatitis....been suffering for 3-4 years, trying all kinds of natural remedies. Ill do the acv next! Million thanks!!
Omg, lazy natural? Girl, preach! I have worn my curly hair back in buns and ponytails my entire life because so much of the advice for growing out and maintaining healthy, natural curly hair was just Too Much! So, thank you for this video. I recently started using satin pillowcases and have been protective styling/wrapping my hair up at night. I will def try the ACV tip and amping up my leave-in conditioner game. Your curls are fabulous and I’m so glad I stumbled across your channel! I look forward to watching more of your videos (but will probably skip the product cocktail ones 😉). Thank you again!
Once I get to collar bone without being stretched, that’s my by the end of the year. But my overall goal is boob length. Once I get there, I probably wouldn’t let it grow any longer😂😂
Your hair is my goalll, so beautiful! Do you have any tips for styling it to be so flippable? I notice that no matter which way you flip your hair, it looks defined and like it’s styled to be parted that way
I usually make sure I use extremely thick & defining products for a more defined wash & (with a nice gel on top) and I also coil a few pieces! Defining products is key!
@@laurscurls every time I try to put different products together on my daughter's hair, they turn white and messy, and her hair has to be washed out. It's crazy.
@@lailaalanna315 before you apply a mixture of products together on the head. Put a pea sized amount of each product on your palm and rub hands together. If the mixture turns white on your palms then it will be white in the hair. If they blend clear then your good to go.
Omggg your back & gorgeous as ever!! Btw I need to know the details on how to do the rice rinse & your SO right about apple cider vinegar. It helps on skin too
Hey Mariahhh 🥰 thank you so much! Will be making a video on my rice water routine after the mental health one, & YES diluted ACV is one of the best things that’s ever happened to me!
Your hair is GORGEOUS!!! Thank you for sharing all of your tips! :) I was also able to grow my hair much longer over quarantine. I agree that hydration is key for curly girls. I wash less frequently and treat myself to overnight masks. And yes, it's not any one thing, but rather the combination of diet, supplements, exercise, rest, products, application, and methodology, which have made an impact.
Ur face is getting a little fuller too, looks good on u hun! I’m also thinking about going to back to Shea moisture Shea butter line which grew my hair fast when I was transitioning
Aww thank you, & shea moisture is the truth!! Be aware though, a lot of people are having bad reactions I’ve heard. Personally I haven’t, but I’m definitely keeping an eye out for any future hair related weirdness
The only thing I’ve use of Shea moisture are the deep treatment hair mask & the restore one too But I always wanted to try rice water to help my hair grow Thanks for these tips ❤️
I love washing go with apple cider and yes.. it does a condition like thing to my hair and makes my curls pop. I don't brush my hair but I will comb with my fingers then comb with a wide tooth comb. The combing after my hair is moisturized and conditioned let's combing be a breeze and less breakage.. more growth. You are beautiful. And so is your hair girl. God has you.. always
Hair sheds regardless depending on the where you are in the growth cycle so detangling with fingers may not show as much shed hair during washing as you haven’t removed the shed hair completely. I’ve done both and find less tangles when I detangle completely with a comb. Fingers just don’t do it for me. 😉
You’re absolutely right! But I’m not talking about shedding, I’m talking about breakage and premature fallout. A lot of my brushes forcefully pulled my hair and snapped it, also couldn’t really gauge how rough a brush was being because it kinda plays as a middle man. With finger detangling I feel like I’m way more in control, as I can really feel out any knots with my fingers and apply pressure needed. (With lots of conditioner!) Again this is my personal routine so It’s to be taken with a grain of salt, I understand if some tips may not apply to everyone! :)
Ohhhh okay gotcha, I have a video on my channel about my hair journey, my mom cut my hair ear length in 6th grade and since then I’ve been a slow grower! It took about 3ish years to finally get past my shoulder, and about 6 months with the help of rice water and these tips to get to boob length when stretched a bit :)
I stopped finger detangling in the shower. Now, I detangle before shampooing, using a paddle brush, spray bottle, and SheaMoisture detangler. This is the best thing I ever did for my hair and helped me stop feeling like I was fighting with my hair each week. I think finger detangling is horrible but I respect others’ choice to do it!
my hair grew fast when I first dyed it in quarantine but then it started to get dry😕and recently I cut the rest of the dye out the back of my hair for graduation. Hopefully the back grows back quick 🤦🏾♀️
Question here 😊 I am currently growing my hair out and right now it’s still short it comes to maybe about cheek length, and a little hang time in the back…. I would love to do some twists, but I am afraid of how it will come out lol the only protective style. I know how to do right now is a simple ponytail with a bun 😬 any other suggestions ladies??????
You have a very pretty face and your hair is amazing. You are truly blessed to have both and a sweet personality. I know it's some real haters but be strong.Let them roll by and.realize that they have assets too. Thanks for sharing. I finally got my hair long without chemicals .
Disclainer not a professional Shea moisture Rice water yep No hair brush in the shower yep Cut the end once a month yep Acv rinse in place of shampoo yep Co wash / conditioner rinse Deep moisturizer Protective styling Mango butter Water vitamins ( d ) Turmeric/ peppermint tea Exercising No brushing for washing Rice water Products in the same line Satin pillow etc... Try to avoid excessive oiling.
I tried finger detangling my hair it was difficult but I got used to it and I was really surprised the hair that came out was so tiny that my brain couldn’t keep up finger Detangling is the bomb
U wash your hair with conditioner? Like um apply conditioner to the roots and rub it? Don't u get itchiness, redness or flakiness? Don't u get dandruff?
omg how are you?! I remember your everything butter and I still make it to this day! 😌 feel so good on my skinnn. Also I wanted to ask when you do rice water, did you just spray it on your hair or in your scalp as well?
Awww I’m good thanks sm for asking! ☺️ when I do rice water I use it as a rinse, I let it sit for about 20 mins and rinse it out, I’ll make a video on it very very soon 💕 also I’m so happy you like it! Can’t wait to share more cool recipes I’ve whipped up :)
I swear this video is very helpful! I'll definitely try using cowashing and acv rinses bc i remember how moisturized and healthy my hair felt afterwards....I'll be trying these tips for some time and maybe update later.....have a nice day laura🤗
Thank you christa 🥰 my hair actually doesn’t grow super fast genetically, I grew it out up until about 6th grade when my mom cut it for me, (ear length) and have had pretty slow growth since then. (Never passed shoulder length healthy for years!)
I love this your doing great but can you tell me how you like style your hair after the apple cider wash like do yu let it be or you style your hair wit like eco and stuff ?
my thing is after 20 something years of dealing with all this hair arent we all tired of washing our hair. i just want to cut it all off once it grows back. it is very difficult to clean the longer it gets. i try the once a month shampoo thing but if i wait that long it gets harder to clean so it has to be every 2 to 3 weeks and aint nobody got time fa dattttt. i cant get product out of my hair. but the thing that ik grows hair is castor oil but its hard to clean out
Your hair is beautiful but I just have to ask you . How many hands do you have to dodge to keep random people from touching your hair with out your permission ?
