I honestly kinda scared when she said her aesthetic is all about Yellow ... But i did enjoyed it, i like the splash yellow in the design one bcs it still her aesthetic but make sense
@@woahcrash Anetra is 1/4 Filipino. I'm not denying her Filipino or Asian heritage btw, I'm just saying she's racially ambiguous because she's 25% Filipino, 25% Japanese, 25% German, and 25% Puerto Rican (and the Puerto Rican is probably a mix of ethnicites within that). I'm Asian too btw, but I do agree that Nymphia is unambiguously Asian, and has made her heritage and culture a huge part of her drag from the moment she walked in. I would also argue that Nymphia is dominating a bit more than Anetra so far, Anetra won the talent show obviously, but she petered out a bit after that, and I don't remember her having the same fanfare that Nymphia has currently.
@@Mermete8 I genuinely would have loved if he said "Hehe, actually the rate a queen was just a silly goofy joke, we actually already decieed on nymphia 🥺"
I wonder if she created all looks by herself like Q did The last look was beyond exceptional and had my jaws dropping and loved her in an androgynous look
there was a fancam of the Premiere Extravaganza event at the Hammerstein Ballroom a few weeks ago where they came out one by one and the screen showed all the people that created the look, I can't find that vid anymore, but I remember only Mirage and Nymphia Wind created their look all by themselves, the others used parts from other designers which is understandable but Mirage and Nymphia Wind seem to be really crafty.
@@caa6909 Q and Plane made their own garment for the premiere but also had credits to other people for things like embellishments and hair. Q put way more effort in for the look though so it's normal to have a bit of help with things. I think both Q and Nymphia are capable of making incredible looks but drag race makes it impossible to make all your looks by yourself with the short prep time. Q's man on the moon for example, she made the headpiece, not the garment. Nymphia's little boy blue was made by a designer.
I know she's a seamstress and the execution showed, but can we talk about the design and concept??? She's giving me Manila/Raja S3 vibes. I just wanna see how her comedy skills are cos she's giving me winner energy.
@@SmithyPLgirl they are gonna come for you but what you said is fax the show is so toxic like that, they use ppl's emotional attachment to these contestants aka their race to make fans believe the show is not racist but in reality it is
The first time since a very very long time that we see Project Runway on RPDR. Nymphia Wind, Love her fashion taste and performance! Finally we get to see fresh ideas!!!
Nymphia's first and 3rd look and make-up on this runway remind me so much of Mana sama from Malice Mizer the visual kei band. I'm a huge Malice mizer fan and I immediately fell in love with this runway and so happy that she won the challenge.
Coming from the land where most clothes and clothes accessories are produced, I think she had a lot to experiment on. Eastern Asians queens never disappoint when it comes to looks.
I know everyone is obsessed with her final look saying it’s “the best in drag race herstory” because she made the ties look pretty but what about the actual outfit itself… she didn’t even make that top, she grabbed a shirt from the rack and cut it into a crop top. She spent the whole time bundling up ties and making them look pretty and then last minute threw together an outfit that would honestly be very ugly without the ties on it. It was an unconventional materials challenge, she didn’t deconstruct the materials and create an outfit from it which was the brief. She bundled up the ties and slapped them onto a top she didn’t even make and a very ugly skirt. Q actually constructed a whole outfit made entirely of unconventional materials, not to mention she technically got better critiques than Nymphia but Nymphia still won. She didn’t put nearly as much effort as Q did for her look and the second category she wore a random dress that had nothing to do with the category. The concept and end product of her final look is very pretty, but to say it’s the best created look in drag race ever is a huge stretch, and the same with her goth runway she put all the work and focus into the headpiece/veil, but if she didn’t have the veil, it would’ve just been an all black gown. Even for the dollhouse, if it wasn’t for the giant bow, it would’ve just been a yellow gown. She’s “the fashion queen” of the season and “better than Q” but doesn’t really put much thought or effort into the actual outfits themselves and put all the work in the accessories or “add-ons” if you will. Q always fully does the challenge that is given, doesn’t take any short cuts, and shows creativity and uniqueness and all her looks. But Nymphia stans are so delusional idek why I bother atp. Screw Sapphira and Plane for devouring the whole season, give the banana girl $200,000 for having nice runways and being obsessed with bananas.
