I realize this was 6 years ago, but of the handful of videos that are made about this Bible, this is hands down the best video. thank you,,, 6 years later.😂😂😂 I got this exact Bible in black onyx. I'm waiting for it to be delivered by Amazon. This video helped tremendously, even though it is 6 years old.
This Bible truly seems like it would be great for every man. It's so cool how there's an estimated reading time at the beginning of each book. That's such a unique feature. Thank you for sharing!!
Thanks for this in depth review. I just bought this one today as my first bible. I'm really hoping it will help me with some of the struggles that I am dealing with right now. Thanks again.
Beau Tate, I have the Black & Onyx NIV. Loved it so much I bought a Heritage Brown & Tan in the same size and translation for my Descipler. We love being able to go through and keep pace with each other since it is the same print. The side notes and "florish" pages are very helpful and informative. The layout is very enveloping. I can't seem to put it down. It may not be what some people call it premium, but it makes one heck of a good gift, and we really enjoy it. I plan on buying a few more for our mens fellowship group members. Would love to at some point get it rebound to last. Just a very beautiful example. I do wish I would have held off and got the indexed version. But thanks to my Descipler, who I have known for almost 20 years, he taught me very well the books in order when I was young in Sunday school. It's a pleasure we are able to meet again after 17 years of not knowing each others lives since I came back to the cross. Thank you so much for taking the time to review this edition. I enjoyed your input on it's composition.
The footnotes, "lineup" and Who's in the spotlight seem like just the amount of information and perspective that doesn't clutter or make me delve into rabbit trails
I definitely want the large print edition. These old eyes aren’t as sharp as they used to be. I have to disagree about including more women in the People You Should Know section. It’s a Bible for men specifically. If it was a Bible specifically for women then I would expect to see articles about women in the Bible. Enjoyed the video. Makes me want to get one. I can do without the thumb indexing though.
If anyone comes across this bible or any recent edition NLT or NIV, redletter, 12-14pt. , thumb indexed bible, please let me know. Everyone I look at sacrifices one of those features. I would even go for one on the high end of "Normal print" which would be 12 pt, if I could find it in this bible or any recent NLT or NIV w/o sacrificing the other features I'm looking for. I can't believe in 2021 it's this hard to find a large print bible with all the features. I don't care about gilded. Just want the red letter, thumb indexed, 12-14 pt. recent NLT or NIV. Love this bible but they don't have it in large print. 9 is not large print.
Those look pretty cool. How is the NLT translation? I've primarily been KJV, NKJV and ESV for most of my walk with Christ. Always been curious about the NLT and NASB.
Nasb translation is somewhat choppy just because it’s word for word even if it doesn’t make sense. Where are NLT is thought for thought to help you understand what their trying to say originally. If you have the bible youversion app just click a verse and options will come up.. click “compare” and you can compare all your favourite translations
I bought mine from Amazon about 4 months ago it is NOT thumb indexed but it only cost me 19.99... free shipping... but I got the KJV... the only TRUE translation...
Is this equal as a King james. I saw this at work and i thought to look for more info b 4 buy. I just dont want to end up buying a bible that is not base on king james
Isn't all the words in the bible the word of God? I'm sorry and I'm confused by your question being that I just ordered this and being new to the faith.
