UGH, yes, they might be simpler, shallower and radioheadesque; but there is no one song I forget, even the hated Overdue gets stuck in your head for ages. Sunburn is a gem, Showbiz is easily top 10 ever muse songs, Unintended is pure beauty, Escape and Falling down are nice, Spiral Static is unique and COME IN MY CAVEEEE iz gold 😭

Ugh. Drones is so underrated. I recently did a marathon of the entire catalog and it’s even better than I remembered.

Origin of Symmetry is and forever will be one of my all time favorite rock albums. Even though I haven’t been a fan of Muse’s recent work, I will forever jam their older stuff

Deadstar was always a favourite Muse song of mine. Very rarely mentioned though.

Might be boring but Time is Running Out is my favourite song. It’s the first song I ever heard from them.

Every single album has something unique that makes it good. You cannot classify a song. Everyone has a different opinion. Sometimes I'm in a mood where I want calm music. Sometimes it's the opposite. Muse's different records fill that need.

I love the new album But that's just me and how I feel. I think they did a good job on combining all the elements that makes them great and Drones is my number one from them.

I don't know why so many people hate Compliance, it's very catchy and it's a Muse like track.

Thoughts of a Dying Atheist is easily my fave Muse song!

Unpopular opinion but despite agreeing with your ranking, I'd argue Muse hasn't put out a bad album. I still had a lot of fun with Will of the People. I still loved Simulation Theory. Drones had The Handler for goodness sake. The last three albums had their bad songs but as a whole, they grow on you with repeated listens.

Big Freeze is an underrated song from 2nd law. Definitely should of made your list.

The 2nd Law is a masterpiece in my opinion. So many instruments.

Worst Muse albums did not exist at all, only best ones, can you imagine a rock group putting a track like Fury in bonus track ? it says a lot on the quality of the album Absolution, ranking top of the tops .Muse are genius

Absolution was my first Muse album I got into to. Hearing hysteria on the radio the first time I was blown away by that driving bass line.

Pretty much how I expected the albums to go outside of the Top 3. Once you get there it’s incredibly difficult to choose like you said. Some interesting song choices for the Top 20 as well as some that simply cannot be overlooked. MotP is also definitely one of my top favourites that I feel isn’t as loved as it should be.

Man muse was my whole high school. I used to blast Bliss on my drive to school every day. I love origin of symmetry so much.

Glad to see some appreciation for 2nd Law. While not my favorite, it was the first of theirs that I anticipated the release of, so I have lots of nostalgia for it. Also, I think that tracks 7-11 might be one of the best 5-song-runs on any album (that's Animals, Explorers, Big Freeze, Save Me and Liquid State).

Rich Costey didn’t just started producing for Black Holes and Revelations. He also produced their previous album, Absolution.

I can relate, I have been obsessed with Map of the Problematique since the day I first heard it. Still my favorite Muse song after many years.

I don't have a particular issue with any of their albums to date (I actually really enjoyed Simulation Theory, like Will more with each listen, and honestly worship the ground Exogenesis walks on). I do join you in bowing down before Map of the Problematique.

My favourite album is Show Biz a very beautiful album to listen to. The vocals are sensitive and at times torn.

The album "Drones" is an album "ahead of time" not to say prophetic with everything that is happening to society today.

I would have swapped round The Resistance and the 2nd Law but otherwise surprised by how much I agree with everything said in this video👍

Their 3 album run from OOS to BHAR is insane, truly legendary. Easy S tier. A tier? Call me crazy but I don't think muse has an A tier album, maybe BHAR in a bad day lmao B tier: The Resistance, Showbiz and The 2nd Law, Resistance was the record where they realized they could milk tracks like Uprising to death, I still think its enjoyable though. Showbiz is alright, just a rough debut The 2nd Law its always conflicting with me lmao, some days I like it, other days I hate it. C Tier: Drones and Simulation Theory Drones just feels boring I did like a few tracks off simulation theory, mostly because the synthwave 80s aesthetic was always great to me, but a good chunk of the tracks just feel empty or the same D Tier: WOTP easily, such a dissapointment EVEN FOR NEW MUSE Standards.

I genuinely like Simulation Theory, more than Drones, 2nd Law or the new one whose name I haven't memorised yet but sounds like all the stuff teenage Matt's bandmates vetoed. The synth speaks to me. Definitely can't argue with your top three though. Think I'd go: 9, New one 8, Drones 7, Second Law 6, Resistance 5, Simulation Theory 4, Showbiz 3, Black Holes 2, Absolution 1, Symmetry

I'd put Resistance in A tier because its the biggest show off of Mathew's classic formation. Exogenesis is a classical masterpiece! And some of the best bangers from Muse. Drones is a bit of a long shot. For me its their last great album, but at the same time not their best. It as some great songs and the message its pretty solid. I'm not that religious but that last Gregorian like chant really hits hard. Sometimes more than an actual mass! Not to mention Reaper n Hawks which is a certified banger and The Globalist a masterpiece of song writing! The Handler and the Defector are pretty forgettable songs for me, but the rest is decent. So its a B tier for me. Simulation theory its a sad outcome. I really enjoyed some tracks, but its an overall forgettable album. I even, sometimes, forget that I have it, and I have all Muse albums xD. However, I think that it still has some good content, and some fun tracks to listen to, even more than Wotp. So I think that ST is the begging of a downfall, but its not at the bottom. I'd put it in C tier. The rest I completely agree! So my tier list would be: S - Absolution, BhaR, OoS A - 2ndLaw, Res B - Showbiz, Drones C - Sim theory D - WotP

2nd law really grew on me overtime. Its a real spark of creativity the the lull thats been the past 16 years for muse.

Bump the 2nd Law to dead last, shift everything below it up one, and you'd pretty much have my list.

For me, Muse's most unfair album is 2012's The 2 Law. I remember many fans criticizing the band's sound, mainly because of "Madness" but this album has several classics! Soon after, another wronged album is "Drones". Ok, I don't listen to the album that much but some tracks on this album are true masterpieces! And it's an album that has a Grammy! Just like my favorite "The Resistance".

S: Origin Of Symmetry, overall their most cohesive, consistent and characteristic album, one of my favorite records of all time. A: Absolution and BHaR, great albums overall with lots of bangers but not as cohesive thematically and stylistically, and some tracks are generic or forgettable imo. B: Showbiz and The Resistance. The former is a bit rough around the edges, but I really like the energy. The latter takes a pretty big step towards the more cheesy and generic modern Muse but at least the radio friendly songs here are rightly successful and legit good tracks. C: The 2nd Law, while I mildly like some tracks and I guess Panic Station in kind of a bop, this album alternates between feeling bland or a bad experiment. I don't think a single track here makes my top 20. I haven't listened to the last 3 albums except for a few songs here and there. Based on those songs and 2nd hand opinions I imagine I'd prolly put Drones in C tier and the last two albums in D tier, given what I usually like to hear from Muse.

9. Simulation Theory - No explanation needed 8. The Resistance - Never been super fond of it. The singles are good, other than that each other song has major problems to me 7. Will of the People - I think people are much too critical of this album. I think it’s really good overall, although I will agree that the slower tracks don’t seem complete (Ghosts and Verona) 6. Showbiz - Some insane songs, lots of filler, overall mostly positive. It’s not as polished as a lot of their albums but of course it’s their first album 5. The 2nd Law - Very different but very good still, super consistent, tbh I love other tracks a lot more than the singles in this case it’s just a really solid album 4. Drones - Very hard, very consistent as well, it was really close with these last two tbh but I just feel I walk away from this album with more substance 3. Absolution 2. I couldn't get through the latest album. :( it just felt like everything I already heard but watered down or formulaic like they just doing the same thing over and over.
