The Raiders best season since their Super Bowl season in 2002 dominated the league with a 12-4 record. But at the end of the regular season things went downhill.
Derek Carr got injured in the week 16 game against the Colts with backup Matt McGloin entering the game and becoming the starter the rest of the season. With McGloin being the starter, he also got injured in the last game of the season in Denver making rookie qb Connor Cook enter the game.
After losing to the Broncos, Cook was named the starter for the wild card game against the Texans, who lost to the Raiders earlier in the season in the week 11 game in Mexico. Cook completed 18 of 45 passes for 161 yards, one touchdown, and three interceptions as the Raiders lost 27-14 ending their great season in a disappointment.
