My favorite part about this entire thing is that the only reasonable man in this thread, the guy who told them to just forget the concept of a week entirely and just alternate days, was completely ignored. They are so attached to the concept of weeks and months that they can’t fathom just alternating workout and rest days without considering what week it is in the month or what month it is in the year.

I love how like 3 minutes in both of them are already so focused on such dumb minutiae that you forget which one of them actually knew how many days there are in a week in the first place.

When I started doing workouts every other day, I ran into a problem. It means you're working out on alternating week days, making it harder to plan other activities around it. I opted for 3 days a week with an extra resting day, but I felt so stupid for having problems with that. It's nice to see that other great thinkers like me have debated the question for ages.

This is a throwback to the days where you could start a meaningless thread on a message board before you went to bed, then wake up to a maelstrom of absurdity. In a weird way, when the internet gave us places to communicate with each other, we restarted history and became primal cavemen.

To continue on the argument, one week you would work out Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday (4 days) and the next week you would work out Monday, Wednesday, Friday (3 days) for an average of 3.5 days while still working out every other day

Pretty convinced at this point that TheJosh was actually trolling all the way. The misspellings. The over-intellectualizing of the whole argument. Hits the bullet points of a textbook troll. It's pretty much how reddit itself works.

What's infuriating is that their initial statements ("4 times a week" vs "3.5 times a week") are BOTH RIGHT technically speaking, but instead of actually understanding why, they both extrapolate to hilariously incorrect conclusions.
