Although it might not matter to anyone, I wanted to share my chess journey. Two years ago, I was rated 100. About a year and a half ago, a fellow student at my school challenged me to a game after a year-long debate about who was smarter. That summer, I dedicated myself to learning chess, primarily through Levy's content. Now, I own the e4 and Caro-Kann courses, and my rating has soared to 1800. I recently played in my first chess tournament and went 8-2. I am considering joining the USCF soon to begin my journey towards becoming a chess professional. All of this is thanks to Levy. Thank you, Levy!!!!!
Let's go man!!! Even i started my journey because of Levy and i am now 1500 thanks to him. Even though i don't think i will play as a professional coz no one in my family gonna support as much but it's ok. I wish the best for you my friend keep it up!!
That's the only way to improve, to play people better than you. At the start, you will lose more than you win, so you had better get used to it. The mission, over time, is to win more than you lose.
@@rimurutempestglazzer He did not achieve gm norm, at first tournament after coming out of retirement. I am probably a 100 elo. I believe it is a journey. I don't expect to be perfect at everything I do first time. Do you put that expectation on yourself? Achievement an improvement is for me a journey.
Anyone who knows anything about marriage will know that Levy IS a very happy man, and it will be so FOR A VERY, VERY, VERY LONG TIME. Cheers to you @GothamChess. Keep inspiring folks in every way possible. You're truly exemplary. If you happen to read this, well, you're even way more special than many people actually think.
I like the "Every round a different GM". I would like to be able to find these easily. The fact that you don't know who until the end is OK. I just want to pick them out and watch them, one after the other. Levy way is there anyway you can identify these so that they are easy to find. Actually, that applies to your Journey to GM videos as well. I like to pick out and watch certain one. Even, Guess the ELO. Don't know how. Maybe a theme to thumbnail . Tell me if I am already missing this.
He’s a chess streamer… not a pay attention to his wife streamer. I imagine when you’re at work you don’t pay tons of attention to your wife either. Having things that you don’t pay attention to your wife when doing doesn’t mean you never give her attention, it just means you also do other things that require focus.
