See now this a genuine 30 handicap. Hitting from the blue tees, usually PGA type scoring with no drop balls from OB and actually retaking the shot. Love it man
I figured the only way I'll get better is if I'm honest in all my shots and see where my strengths and weaknesses are. I'll play mulligans, breakfast ball, etc. in social rounds with the boys. But when I film its for scoring, and for a realistic comparison against handicaps for anyone who checks the video out. I'll normally give myself one mulligan on the first driver of the day if it's needed and I'm not warmed up yet. Everything else is scored as well as I know how to. Lots of rules in this game I don't know yet
its nice not to only see ourself struggle sometimes, you seem like a genue Guy who puts lots of effort into your videos and your golf game, thumbs up for you
Thanks Julian. Even if my golf game doesn't get any better, I try to make every video better than the last somehow. The golf game will get better with time. I appreciate the kind words. ✌️
I enjoy these types of course vlogs and make a few myself. It's always fun, and sometimes painful, to go back and watch your round and realize where you may have made a poor club selection or whatnot. Subbed and looking forward to seeing your progress.
Just checked out your channel and videos. Looks real good! I would suggest a different color shot tracer though. The green doesn't contrast well with the grass and the sky. I subbed to your channel as well and hope to catch up to your level of playing. Good luck this season! I'll see you in the next one ✌️
@@MGGolf Agree on needing to switch up the tracer color. Green is my favorite color so I kind of default to it, but if it doesn’t work, it doesn’t work.
This is exactly where I'm at, I'm off 36 too. Keep going buddy, everyone I speak too who plays says you've got to just keep going and the HC will drop 👍
I will say everyone tells me that shooting a hundred is what the average gopher does but I never seem to play with those golfers. Everyone I play with shoots in the '80s.
I'm a 33 handicap and I'm nowhere near as good as you are. I simply cannot hit anything from the tee box. Finally going to get a lesson. Great video keep up the good work.
Dude, awesome to hear you're going for a lesson. Best thing you can do for your game. I think I got maybe 4 lessons this year. Will prolly get 2-3 over the winter. Perfect time of the year to make swing changes! ✌️
Love how you hole everything out and take penalty shots. Have a feeling you’ll shave a ton of strokes of quickly. You’ve got a good athletic swing. Nice work.
Thanks Gary. Trying to make truthful/realistic handicap videos so other players have something to compare themselves to. Thanks for checking it out. ✌️
Enjoying the videos!! Have you thought about doing a “what’s in the bag” video giving us your clubs, lofts, and shafts? I’m also a 30+ handicap and find the grind to get better both fun and challenging.
Thanks for the comment Scott. That's a great idea for a video. Never thought anyone would care about what kind of clubs I'm hitting lol. I'll try to work that into the schedule over the next few videos. I'm really glad you're enjoying the content. I'll keep putting it out and trying to get better with each one. Thanks again!✌️
Hi! Well done on creating this content. There are a lot of people can relate. Just an observation. The ball does general go in the direction you are lining up and it looks like you have a tendency to line up right. Try using alignment sticks. Just lining up straight can fix a whole load of issues. Keep up the great work and continue enjoying this wonderful game. HC 18.
Thanks so much for the comment and for the view. For some reason I just can't practice well with alignment sticks. I'm gonna take my alignment issues to my swing coach and try to get something figured out to help me practice better. ✌️
The scoreboard I made from scratch in powerpoint. The shot tracing is using the "shot tracer app" in the google play store. And the tracking over the hole layout was done in PowerDirector editing software. I put alot into this video lol. If you ever use the shot tracer app, only film up to 1080p. I filmed in 4k and it dosent recognize that format and had to covert all my clips to 1080p for edited and then render back to 4k. (Just as a heads up.) Thank you so much for the comment and watching my video! It really means a lot to me. ✌️
@@MGGolf Very nicely done. You "upped" the video into a proper trackman video haha! Cool how much effort you put in it. Makes it very entertaining to watch. Definetly wasn't for nothing! Will watch more of your video's!! Cheers, Another high handicapper.
You just blew my mind that someone across the globe would you watch me hack around my local course. I really appreciate your viewership man. Just made my day. Thanks Marcus. ✌️
Well I can relate to this guy but he will get better. I started in April with a 50 handicap and now I'm down to 30. I think new irons will help. I got the ones that I have off the street as through aways.
@@MGGolf I really think The Wilson Launch pad Irons will up my game, thanks. Also Do you have someone doing your video for you. I have a RU-vid channel but not done any golf yet. It is Rick Rairdon channel.
Thanks for sharing your journey! a 23 handicap myself and started vlogging recent rounds to hold myself accountable to getting below 20 this season. In Chicago, if you're ever in town and want to play a round together! also subbed
That's dope dude. Thank you so much for the sub. I'll check out your channel too. I think we will both be under 20 hcp by end of year if we stay accountable. Watching an entire round back gives really good insight into your own game. No plan for a trip out to Chicago anytime soon for me (I'm in CT), but if I do I'll hit you up. ✌️
Just check your channel I just started playing golf also keep making these kind of vlogs to see the progress you are doing . I really enjoy it . I’m doing the same to better my game .
Hey Neo. Thanks for checking out my channel. I'm so glad your enjoying it so far. Golf can be pretty tough at the beginning, so just stick with it and have as much fun as possible. I'll keep posting videos (hopefully with progress) and I hope that you'll keep us posted on your progress as well! Thank you so much for the support! ✌️
@@MGGolf no problem. I just noticed you hit a lot of great shots and they went right. A little aiming towards the middle instead of right and I bet at least 7-10 strokes could be taken off of your score.
@@MGGolf I’m old school and I lay the club down on the ground in front of my feet, step back and look to see where I’m aiming. Move the club to where you want to aim, pick up the club and swing away.
interest in documenting some of my rounds too. what software are you using for the trace? I've seen some tracer apps but none that also do the top down view like your tee shot. keep up the practice, 90 is coming your way!!
@@MGGolf I appreciate the ultra fast reply! Completely unexpected! That's the one I've been looking at too. I use Swing Caddie 300i on the range for instant feedback, but was hunting for an app for trace. Keep up the great work. Love your extra commentary on the newer videos! Takes longer to edit, but great insight into what's going on in your head ;).
No problem dude. Good luck with the videos. Its a lot of work, but good for your game to look back on. Notice different stats, check swing faults, club distance etc.
@@MGGolf thanks man! Keep up the great content. I’m a high 20 handicap myself and love seeing I’m not the only one chasing balls from one side of the rough to the other side lol
Driver y yo definitivamente tenemos una relación de amor y odio. Sin embargo, poco a poco va mejorando con el tiempo. Gracias por ver mi video. lo aprecio! ✌️
You actually have a pretty nice swing for a 30 handicap, go see a pro about your alignment and I think you’ll find yourself doing much better pretty quick. Either you hit it down your foot line (right of target) or you shut the face because your body knows it’s aimed to the right
playing from the blue tees is not really good idea for 30 handicap player ... I suggest moving up to White Tees probably have much more fun and easier time scoring and hitting greens I used to play from White tees but my brother suggested to me to play from Gold Tees cause I don't hit ball as far cause i have Cerebal Palsy and I improved by doing so went from 36 to 25 handicap in 1 year and I have alot more fun playing now
For some reason this course doesn't have white tees. Red, blue, green, black i think. I always play the ones just longer than the forward tees. I've tried the forwards, usually score same as white/blue. I appreciate your input. Check out some of my newer vids and check out my progress since this video. You'll see the white tees in play there. ✌️
The reason a large percentage of your putts are missing to the right is because you're standing too far away from the ball 100%. Freeze this at 2:15 and what you're seeing is your typical putting stance. You need to be closer and over the ball more. This current stance/address looks more like you're setting up to a 9 iron. The bunker shot was simply incorrectly addressing the ball. Spread you legs a bit more and get into an athletic stance and crouch down slightly. Dig in your feet and swing taking out a post card of sand with the ball and FOLLOW THROUGH with your swing. Also, I watched a few more of your videos and noticed your upper body is doing ALL the work. It's like your feet are cemented to the ground in the vast majority of your swings. A swing coach would do you WAAAY more justice than a club fitting by those two used car salesman you went to see.
