By the way, I don't own all of these cameras :) -- Sony was kind enough to loan me a couple of them. My main go-to cameras right now are the a1, a9ii, and the a7Siii.

M2M, great job! My first Sony video in a while and this was helpful. I still yearn for a FF camera despite Fuji being very good for what I shoot. Don't care about video at all. You've helped me narrow it down! I can't imagine 2K for a body as "entry level" but I guess thats the terminology used these days... Thanks for this video!
This is THE BEST Sony full-frame video that I have seen! Nothing was left out, and you highlighted GREAT features from each model. Sony should by paying you for doing their job "better" than them. :) Cheers, bro!!
Thanks for this comparison! I own an ɑ850 (full frame dslr, a-mount), which I like a lot and until recently I didn't wish to switch to mirrorless. By now I realized that I have to let go of that idea. I am planing to get a mirrorless body (plus an A to E adapter, of course) as a second option camera, for when I need the camera function, for traveling and for those occasions when the shutter sound is too obtrusive. I think the 7c sounds just perfect for that! I love that it is half the size and weight of my 850. :)
Hi .. excellent content. Makes it crystal clear. Need your opinion - for travel, landscape and street photography, which one do you suggest among these three - A7iii, A7C and A7Rii? A7RiV is way out of my budget.
As with everything. It will mostly depend on your budget. I would go with the a7C and save yourself the extra $200 and put it towards a lens. the a7C has basically the same innards as the a7III. the only reason I would get the a7iii nowadays is if I absolutely need the dual card slots. a7c is a bit more inconspicuous too. a7Rii is out of the question for me, because focusing is slower than the other 2, and the battery is smaller..
im still a student but i literally enjoyed watching this. i love photography so much hoping that i could get sumthn like that in the future. btw, nice video!!❤️

thanks for watching. a7Riv is the highest megapixel count on these alpha cameras. so yeah, I would definitely recommend that one. if you want both resolution AND speed, then I would look higher to the a1.

Hi, I am new to camera world. Correct me if I am wrong. These cameras do NOT come with OPTICAL View Finder. They come with ELECTRICAL View Finder, that’s why they are called Mirrorless cameras right? (Form factor section)
Excellent video ❤️. Can u plz suggest between A7c and A7III which one has better low light performance. I am planning to buy one for my travel vlogs. Which wide frame lens would u recommend.
. I haven't put it on a side by side test, but they have the same sensor so im assuming they should be about the same low light performance. But a7C would be my travel vlog recommendation simply for the flip out screen
if 12 megapixels will be enough for you , then yes. some people just post stuff online and not really print large. also, 12 megapixels is good enough for smaller prints. I've also heard of people upsizing the a7Siii 12 mp images using Photoshop or Gigapixel and get great results.
@@AnandhaJothi I would say all of these cameras are great for hybrid shooting. of course, the a1 is the best of both worlds, but you need to own amazon stock to buy one LOL :). a7iii & a7c are good hybrids for the budget minded. a7R series is most suited for stills and high-resolution shooting (good if you want to print big and if you crop into your photos a lot), and a7s series is more suited for video. a9 is good for both, but it doesn't have S-LOG, so I dont recommend it if you need that for your video projects.

Main question When do you take sony will upgrade a7 3 as it's already 3 year old ( which is not a bad things ) I just want to buy latest so I can get more bang for buck.
Hey Hardik! That's a really good question. If your situation is one where you don't need the camera right this very minute, then I would wait. It is really likely that the next version of the a7iii will come out this year. When the a7iv is finally announced, you are in a great position, because you can choose. If the new improvements are worth it, then you can get the new version. If you think the upgrades are not that great, then you can get the a7iii, which will likely become cheaper, or you can get a used a7iii for a really good price. Either way, if you do get an a7iii, you will be getting one of the best values in mirrorless cameras right now. It's such a great camera, especially for the price.
I am a photographer. Sony alpha I have a7iii. But I like to upgrade my camera with Sony marrowless. So I normally shot photography, like landscape and street photography. I do not shot video. So which camera is the best for me for shooting landscape and street photography? Please guide me.
Hi, I bought the a7iii and a9 cameras and both of them have banding issues when I just testing out in my house. If I upgrade them to the a1 or the a9ii will they also have the same issues?
banding usually is more pronounced when you are in silent shooting mode also called electronic shutter mode. you'll reduce a lot of that if you switch to mechanical shutter. if its still happening, then it might be that your shutter speed is too high.
I bought a a7ii with kit lens for maybe 750 or 800 brand new from b&h. Ended up selling it and getting my canon 6d full setup. Maybe just the a7iii and a good 24-70 2.8 as my entire setup. Do you think that would be a good trade ?
Excellent breakdown, thanks. I shoot stills only and I shoot manual only (using the Voigtlander lenses). Both color and B&W. I currently use an a6400. I badly want an optical viewfinder and full frame. Can you make a recommendation for me? Is there one in this line with an OVF that is best for manually shooting stills? Thanks.
What do I buy if I want Netflix quality video and top quality stills? I don't want to carry 2 cameras. The Sony FX3 is Netflix approved, what about your lineup here in that respect?
I know a guy in my town that uses an a7SmkIII for his real estate photos. because he doesn't need the high megapixel count. I would recommend an a7III or a7IV
I'd say all of them are good for that. just depends on your budget and also what your niche is. in general, the a7iii is great, but if you're doing hi-end commercial, I would go for the a7R, if you're doing sports, then the a9, if you're doing video then the a7S, but if you do all the above, then the a1.
My dude, I'm shopping around for a camera - I appreciate what you're trying to do but, speaking for myself, going back and forth between the cameras, without any graphics and only relying on your verbal dialog does not help me figure out what to buy, nor does it deconflict the Sony camera lineup for me. They already have the absolute most jacked naming system, please make it easier, not more difficult. lol Like, if I gotta take out paper and make my own notes, I'll just click another video. lol Anywho, just my personal opinion. I know we all have different styles of absorbing information. Or...maybe I'm just too used to fast talking youtubers, and fancy visual graphics keeping track of all the data. *shrugs* Just giving my honest opinion, as it seems you're a new channel. I'm in the market for a new camera - I'd like a Canon, but I'm sick of arbitrary recording limits. I'm thinking a Sony, but in coming from decades of Canon, the Sony naming lineup is the most atrocious naming system for any product line in the history of mankind. Hey Chuck, thanks for taking the time to watch and comment. Honestly, you have some really great feedback here. Having some graphics I think will definitely help. And you're totally right, not everyone watches RU-vid the same way as I do. I like actually listening and sometimes, I dont even look at the screen and I just listen to the person. but I can totally see how some people are the exact opposite and would rather see stuff than listen to it. Also, I shot Canon for the first 10 years of me doing photography and started doing video with the 5DmkII, invested in a lot of Canon glass. But ever since Sony started going full steam ahead with mirrorless tech before Canon and Nikon even thought about it, I switched pretty quickly. Canon is picking up steam though. They still have a lot of catching up, but they'll eventually get there. Wish you all the best!
I LOVE the RX1 series. that's my go-to stills camera for my personal photos. a7C is a bit newer though, so the focusing is a lot faster. but once you get a lens on it, the RX1 beats it with the compact size.
Hello! I like what you do (it seems you do too). I need your opinion... if you can give me some advice about buying a camera and a lens. I want to take pictures of my children and pictures (both close and far) in nature with mountains, waters, sun and shadows. I am not locked into any brand or model, however I would be happy to be able to purchase the kit somewhere around $1000. Thanks.
for that budget, I would get one of Sony's APS-C cameras and an all around-er type of Lens. Im thinking an a6100 and then a zoom like the Sony E PZ 18-105mm f/4 G OSS. that might get you closer to $1000.
I dont do astrophotography, so I can't say for sure. its a 12 megapixel sensor, not sure if that's gonna hinder your astrophotography. im thinking the high iso performance will be a benefit though.
@@movetomirrorless I'm using a6400 right now it's a 24mp sensor. Right now I'm planning for a full frame mirrorless camera. I heard A7Siii is a king of night mode and it performs noise less even at 12500 ISO. So, My question is.. will that extra spec gonna help me in astrophotography?
@@thevijayraj34 my experience with the a7Siii is mostly with video. I bought it primarily as a video camera. I also have an a1, which I use for stills photography and hybrid shooting (stills & video simultaneously). so I've never used my a7siii for still photography, but that might be something I experiment with and do a video on it.
Maybe you can help me; I don't care about video so my focus is on image quality. Digital is new to me, I'm an old Nikon F2 film guy. Staying within my budget I'm looking at the Sony a7r3 or the a74. I notice you didn't have the a7r3 in this video. I don't want to spend over $2800 on a camera body. For that matter it doesn't have to be Sony....help!
the a7R3 is a great budget version of the a7Riv. it's almost as good, not as many megapixels, but it's definitely better than the a7iii and a7iv. Probably not as snappy as the a7Riv, a1, or a7iv, but it does get the job done.
Right. I think Sony is still trying to sort that out. And finally starting to figure it out. It wasn’t part of my outline that differentiates the camera so I didn’t include it.
that camera is still the best high megapixel camera as far as value goes. but im only talking about the most current generation from the sony full frame lineup
@@MikeKleinsteuber dude. You’re right! I forgot about that one. Honestly I was just thinking of the interchangeable alpha line and didn’t even think about the rx1rii. I actually have the original rx1. But that’s an awesome point. I’ll have to figure out a way to talk about the rx1 line sometime in the future.
I've heard that. but practically, both DSLRs and mirrorless are equally prone to getting dust in their sensors, you just need to be very disciplined when you're changing lenses. try to keep it the mount open in the least amount of time as possible and always point the sensor down when you're switching. Also, try to clean the sensors as much as possible with a blower as you're changing. and also in between jobs.

But what if I have a zoom lens and I don't actually remove it at all and I store the camera while the lens is mounted on it in this case do I also need to clean the sensor manually once in a while? Or I can use the cleaning mode from the camera menu which is better so I don't have to remove the lens?
