@@OldBenKenobi2318 yea I think he means like general audiences who don’t play a load of it like we do are still finding out about some of its effects because of how rare they can be. Hell I’ve not seen all of the effects myself in game even though I’ve played since the start but that’s partially because I never go for the thing outside of EE runs,
I personally think the EMPs get slept on. If you play coop, you can literally freeze the Zombies on the Spot for pretty much how long you want. I remember playing a farm coop game and we EMP'ed the last Zombie to go to sleep. Definitly underrated.
@@soupernuova8602 His point is that monkey bombs appear in multiple maps and they're only upgradeable in some of them so it doesn't really make sense to consider them when on some maps you can't get them upgraded
EMPs are also used by some coop high rounders if they want to take a break or spin the box for another ray gun midround. You can horde up all the zombies, throw the EMPs at them, and then if you do not run or touch lava or shoot the zombies will basically just stay in place and will ignore you, so you can do whatever you want. For this reason, EMPs actually have a super niche use.
I love Pegasus Strike in concept, but the Zombies can still hit you while you’re activating it and you can’t move when activating it so it’s so easy to die with them
Gersch > Lil'Arnies imo. I think they're almost better in every single way other than the duration like you mentioned. They're needed for the easter eggs on both maps that they're in, they deal infinite damage and they're essential for high rounds on moon due to the hacking drops for max ammos cuz the wave gun doesn't give drops. Now I could be wrong on this last one as I haven't really gone for 100+ on Rev in a while, but I remember Arnies causing crashes (could've just been the broken state of the map at launch lol), also in the high rounds they basically downgrade to just monkeys and aren't essential on solo. One thing that the Arnies can do that the Gerschs cannot is an ARNIE PARTY!!
Ehh arnies also were required for high rounds and the distraction for a long time is awesome but yeah it’s kind of a toss up honestly they seem pretty equal
I feel like the retriever/redeemer should be swapped with the monkeys, the fact that they kill for so long and gets used in the ee in mob and I think in blood, (I haven't done that ee) just makes it better than the monkeys imo
For mob monkeys are useless bc u have the votrolic whithering but the hells retriver only apears on 2 maps and the monkeys appear on tons including bo1 where there was a lot of bad guns and bo2 where there were good guns but not that many save me guns and the monkeys are an instant save me
EMP’s are pretty much necessary for town high rounds and if you know how to use them can be used as monkey bombs to get out bad situations. IMO they’re just as good because you can throw them instantly instead of having to wind up a monkey bomb.
Big brain delays do get you killed 99% of the time animation cancels and all that good stuff hope treyarch actually do use their year wise but it's not like they have a say anymore if they keep selling people will buy, I'm getting bored of waiting
it's not that reliable for clutch situations, since it struggles against a high quantity of zombies. that's the major problem i see with Hells Redeemer.
@@Malam_NightYoru yeahh.. its been a hot minute since ive played but iirc it can only kill a handful of zombies bc its capped at a certain amount per throw
I was wondering the same thing, but I think the scope of the video was specifically special grenade type weapons, not all special equipment in general. So he just left it out because it isnt comparable to any other special equipment because of the unique mechanics.
@@Malam_NightYoru I mean thats kinda a misconception. Taticals aren't meant to just be for clutch situations, they are just a secondary grenade. So tbh I think a secondary grenade carrying you through the majority of a game is more valuable than being good in a clutch situation. Hr is the best.
I think the Gershs are the best since you have the monkey bomb effect, infinite damage, and you can teleport. Yes Arnies monkey bomb effect lasts longer and you can activate faster but I find Gershs to be overall more useful than Arnies. Also does anyone else notice how Chrrism put Margwa as his favorite boss and Arnies as his second favorite equipment. Someone looking a little sus. 🤔
My favorite ones are the qed's just because of how much stuff they can do and the time bomb. I personally think the time bomb would be my favorite just because buried is one of my favorite maps of all time. And I like it a lot. I just like how useful it is and how many different things you can do with it. Especially when getting to high rounds on solo the time bomb is like a must. At least for me
They really didn't, If you accidentally hit a perk machine with EMP it disables the perk. Even if you or teammates already bought it. You would accidentally take out your whole teams juggarnot or speed cola perk just trying to save yourself or make a crawler. Most of the time they were suicidal to use in CO-OP and was just used to grief.
Imo Hell’s Redeemer should be higher since it’s unlimited usage. It can literally be used as a primary weapon whereas the rest of these, you get around 3 of them and only use them if you’re in trouble or have a max. Also I prefer the Gersh just because they’re more fun and creative and look cooler tbh, I love the randomness aspect to early zombies, like how you can jump into the Gersh device and end up anywhere on the map. As far as practicality, Gersh and Arnie’s are interchangeable.
Great video I’m just surprised you didn’t bring up the fact that monkey bombs are upgradable too but it’s all good have a good one keep up the great work!
Emp can be very useful to stop the bus on tranzit so people who did not make it can get on, also if you have to wait a round or two on a spot you can have the bus driver waiting for you. If you get it early and you don’t have the ladder on the back side of the bus yet, it’s actually possible to stop the bus driver both a bit before but also after the stop at the power plant site so you can walk into the bus without having to wait for him to drive to leave the place.
Something to note about the G-Strike: competing Step Three: Rain Fire in the main EE upgrades the G-Strike to fire more missiles when All Three Robots are in play. Nothing too special, but super cool nonetheless, especially hearing every robots missiles fire and that loud noise that they make three times over. I don’t know why, but that sound gives me that “Everything is about to die” feeling.
I recently found my bo3 disc for Xbox and I’ve been playing all the zombie maps on that, gives me somewhat nostalgic feeling but I honestly miss half the other maps like buried, MOTD, Call of the dead, etc etc. even tranzit. It’s weird seeing some of the new maps after it cause BO3 was the last one I bought and honestly I know 4 gets mixed reviews.. either way point of this comment is to say it’s good to see the zombie community is still somewhat going
Random memory but I remember when me and my brother would play moon, I threw a gerch device near the cosmonaut zombie, and he moved fast as hell ass first
Something to note about the G-Strike is that the missiles that shoot from the robots to kill the zombies don't go through collision so they won't do any damage if there is a roof over the spot where it lands, especially noticable underneath pap. Also Hell's Redeemer got shafted in this list. Infinite ammo and infinite damage. The only thing it doesn't have over everything on this list is the ability to attract the zombies to it, but with that effect being on the Vitrolic Withering it's not a problem.
Emps are usefull for high round breaks or if you need to spin box midround. You can freeze zombies infinitely (not for a second) if after freezing the horde you dont sprint, shot any weapon or go very close to the zombies (that trigger range is slightly bigger than knifing range). If you play coop high round and cant pause then due to emps you can take breaks to sleep, eat or whatever you want to do. However you have to remember you cannot go afk right after throwing emp at the horde. Shortly after freezing the zombies they will start going to random directions and end up at the edges of the map, next to walls or just random places. If you go afk right after throwing emp there is a chance a zombie will go to the location you stood when leaving so he will come close to you, start attacking again and just kill you. In order to avoid that you need to see where do the zombies walk and keep avoiding them. After few mins they are supposed to settle down at their locations and stop moving any significant distances. Only then you can safely find your afking spot without zombies nearby and enjoy your break.
I feel like this list would change a lot depending on skill. Monkey bombs and it variants are cool and all but they’re not as useful for some players especially in solos, I would 100% put hells retriever higher on the list as it’s infinite ammo and infinite damage are much more useful as long as your good at training and confident in not getting stuck. Plus doesn’t it have an ability to draw in power ups that you throw it at? I’ve never used the Pegasus strike thing cause I only ever play IX on BO4 but it does look pretty crazy especially with the cool down on it making it easier to get I’d say that probably the only thing that would beat the hells retriever on this list in my opinion
With Samantha's Music Box I noticed something. When thrown by Stuhlinger he will say something along the lines of "Good thing she's on our side," to which Richtofen replies "For now, Sammy, for now." Could this perhaps be a reference to Samantha in Cold War zombies one the Dark Aether begins to corrupt her and give her powers?
Thank god I wanna know if you've put arnies or gershes higher I personally think that arnies are better Edit finnaly got to gershes haven't heard the reason but.. YESSSSSSSSSSS LET'S GOOOOO CHRRISM Edit 2: I just realised chrrism hearted my comment but because I edited it I lost the heart chrrism please re heart the comment 😭
When I'm training zombies on Ascension I throw the widow's wine grenade in the center to freeze them all and then I throw one those doll grenades and it gives me sooooooooo much of that widow's wine stuff
Fun fact! If you use emps on the tombstone machine when people have killed themselves and have the drop, if you emp it they can't get the drop anymore :)
You can also dolphin dive into the gersh device’s black hole to be teleported to a random location, making them definetly more valueable then lil arnie. Edit: oh, you also mention this in the lil arnie part, but not in the actual gersh device part..
Bro Gersh devices should literally be #2 or #1. Not only do they act like monkey bombs in the sense that they distract zombies and insta kill them to an infinite round, they can also teleport you out of a sticky situation if you run into the middle. How was this fact not mentioned on the video?!?!? That’s like the biggest feature of the gersh device.
Not once did I ever think to use the EMP on the Avogadro. I kind of feel dumb for that. But for the most part it was completely useless so I wouldn't have thought twice about using it. If I just got it in the mystery box I would just get rid of it as soon as possible. I mean you still at least get points for hitting zombies with them. And it could save you out of a jam by knocking out the zombies. But you're going to have to tiptoe around them and don't take too long. But of course monkey bombs are way better. So why would anybody even want an EMP grenade? And from my memory, it really didn't pop up too often in the mystery box. And I played Transit a lot. Mainly because I didn't have money for all the other map packs at the time.
I was kinda sad to see the molotov in last place. It was super useful for me since it was a guaranteed crawler grenade. Takes away the stress of gambling if a zombie would be a crawler or not with a regular grenade. Yes it's very weak, but was very useful for me.
Fun fact: Claymores are actually treated as secondary grenades in the mobile version of BO1. They are garbage because they have low damage and they actually deal splash damage.
I think qeds are more likely to do certain things depending on the situation; I’ll chuck them at a downed teammate and it’ll revive them most of the time.
Don’t forget you can use the Gersh device as a random teleporter, like an anywhere but here gobblegum before it was even a thing. Not super useful I know, but still and trait nonetheless
I'm pretty sure you can use emps to stun zombies, and similar to their sleeping state at the very beginning, if you don't run nor shoot your gun they remain stunned until you get closer to them. also I beleive if your gun is silenced and you're at a decent range you can also keep them stunned but I don't remember for sure. still super niche but I always kinda liked emps
EMP grenades are actually pretty good they stop zombies and put them to sleep as if you just started a transit game So if you don't Sprint or shoot and you have the last zombie hit with a EMP you can basically just walk away and he won't wake up
Time bomb is beyond OP if used correctly. Downed and lost all your perks? Go back a round or two and have them all back. Including solo Quick Revive which ordinary can only be acquired 3 times total, but the time bomb overrides that limit
Yeah I’m grief emps are busted. Two good strats, either emp the pack a punch and make an opponent lose they’re gun after spending the 5k to upgrade, or on a high round, throw the zombie meat at the opponents if they’re camping together and emp jug so they get 2 tapped and have all the zombies on them, even if they live they’ll use a lot of ammo up and max ammos are rare in grief
Get this man some more subscribers lol. Don’t know how I didn’t come across any of your videos earlier but I love this type of zombies content. Keep up the good stuff
The emp's ARE NOT useless on Tranzit. I make sure i have some on me at all times because of the annoying rat called THE AVOGADRA. The emp kills it easily AND the emp is necessary for the Tower Of Babble easter egg to be completed.
