The Severance inclusion does a disservice to the intro - that shot is not only unique but the entire opening is one I NEVER skip, even upon rewatches. It’s just that unique and great. I’m really glad you included For All Mankind and The Expanse here - the intros for (incredible) sci-fi shows are possibly the worst offenders of all.

I just rewatched True Detective season 1 and I had forgotten how unique and beautiful the opening credit sequence was... Watching this made me appreciate it more.

It's considered tacky/cheap/outdated to show things like the actors in your opening. I'm sure many of these intros were created by the same people/companies. Although some of the comparisons are a bit disingenuous because they only show short parts of the intro like for example Game of Thrones which mainly shows a map of Westeros but here MS Sam picked out a brief section that lines up with the "spreading fractal" of the rest of the selections. Also these are all skipped by 99% of viewers which is another reason they're not especially creative.

I disagree with the thought that these are the same. They are all symbolism that is similar, but that doesn't mean they're the same. I much prefer all of these to the intros to the previous generation.

Ummm, I’m not sure your definition of “exactly the same” is “exactly the same” as everyone else’s. This is the dumbest video I’ve watched all year. And I’ve watch a LOT of videos this year!

The creative process in moneyland has fully turned into a whorl of theft and bullshit. The board seems to have settled for more ambiguity lately, like they settled for the portal a while back... in and out, nothing in between, cause the poor ppl can't afford anything better. How thick. This channel was a pleasant surprise, nice stuff!
