@@zachary5869 the way the ball spins doesn't matter 😭 as a receiver idc if you throw with yo foot just get the ball in my vicinity , you just talking bro and you obviously dk football if you said that
I think it's actually so good that he doesn't feel the pressure of being QB1 straight away. It gives him time to relax and develop, hopefully into an even better QB
Right and also all those injury concerns become really irrelevant when you let him sit for 2 years or so. His body has time to adjust and well fully heal from 4 season ending injuries and two long college football seasons. This makes him less injury prone in the long run.
That's what I saw in proday video from behind. Look like missiles taking off! I begged my command's to take him.😮 So we got JD and I have to live with it. But I will follow him this summer at preseason games.😊
I’m thinking depending on how well Kirk does this season that Penix could be starting next season. If that’s the case, I’m sure we’d be sending him to the Giants. I wonder what all we could get for Kirk. There’s no way we’re gonna let a 24 y/o 1st round QB sit for 3-4 years. Especially since we could’ve gotten a younger QB next season and let ‘em sit for a couple seasons.
We weren’t going to get a young QB next season there’s maybe 2 that’ll possibly make it into the 1st round. Doubt they’ll fall out of the top 5 picks. I doubt we’ll be in the top 15 picks.
@@TrillVilla5 Read an article on 247sports the other day where they had 4 going into the 1st round. If we wouldn’t have taken Penix then there were two I perhaps wouldn’t have minded taking. Tho neither are currently finished projects. Moot point tho, love the Penix pick. Was thinking how either Texas is paying a little too well or Quinn Ewers made a mistake not entering. Would’ve taken Ewers over JJ or Nix and I’m not even particularly super high on Ewers.
@@panchotheaddict420 I agree...but it may not take that long. Penix is the real deal. The Falcons know it. The challenge will be getting max value while dumping the Cousins contract.
Hes gonna prove everyone that said it was a dumb pick wrong. I dont care about Cousins contract. Hes gonna learn and let his body recover for a year or two and then ball out.
Ultimately it's about which QB gives your team the best chance to win. Until Penix learns the playbook it's good that the Falcons have Cousins. Penix can take his time learning the playbook and build up confidence thru this season practicing in the offense the Falcons want to run with him. I doubt Penix sits more than one season if he really impresses and can read defenses. The Falcons have to pay Cousins guaranteed money anyway but after learning the playbook and offense if Penix gives you a better chance to win they will probably play him.
Really feel like he's in a good spot before the draft i said i hope Atlanta drafts Michael Penix Jr maybe not in the first round but in the second round first draft Rome Odunze or Dallas Turner get Michael Penix Jr in the second third round Jalen McMillan and later rounds Dillon Johnson and Devin Culp
The quicker they start Penix the better off the Falcons will be, they can take advantage of his rookie contract and have enough money for other positions. If Kirk isn’t twice as good as Penix, there’s really no reason for him to continue to start, you’re just wasting time. 66 different QB’s started last year in the NFL, someone will gladly take Kirk contract.
