In this video, I go through every tool I used to frame a house, and why I prefer to use a lot of these tools.
I start with my tool belt and all the hand tools that I keep on me, and then go through all the bigger power tools I use from AEG, Makita, Dewalt, Paslode, Bosch, Bostich and Ramset

I like a short pencil in my bags. It comes in handy for scribing in tight places.

Cool video mate! Really enjoyed that. Would it be fair to say that you’ve selected the best power tools based on their Individual performance? Rather than compromising and going for the convenience of having them all on the same battery platform?

Think you missed covering work benches ... but I see you’ve used a dewalt mitre saw stand with what appears to be an LVL :'D What’s the situation for charging all those batteries, a rack of chargers?

Don’t some houso framers use a feltchering tool? I’m a commercial plasterer “frame “ using steel”, sheet & set” & working in the residential realm atm & the amount of self glorified timber chippies that can’t frame straight or build to code/manufactures specs is eye watering! They seem more concerned about the big trailer & land cruiser & trying to get cheap labour so they can be a “bbbbbbuildah” that’ll probably end up on the tik tok inspectors videos! Not to paint every houso chippy with the same brush but damn it’s more than 70% of the chippies I meet on site are arrogant & shocking tradesman! If framing is wrong/not level nor is everything else that’ll be installed there after! Pretty simple really…a result of subbie off subbie work & everone skimming money off each other! No doubt there’s rubbish plasterers out there & probably at the same ratio if not more!

Random question that I’ve always wanted to know being a tradie myself. Do you come across big spiders and snakes when on sites? As a Brit thinking about Aus I assume they’re everywhere so it’d be interesting to know how often you come across them and what you do about it?

Almost never, I'm trying to think where you might see a snake. Maybe building a shed on a country property where there's a lot of debris to move or something like that, far more likely to see one on a bushwalk but I've never known anyone who's been bitten personally, only dogs. Spiders are just not worth caring about, they're not common unless the materials have been sitting or maybe if you're demoing for a reno and even then only redbacks are worth actively avoiding, at least here in Vic.

This is an amazing insight, looking in from the outside I just assumed they were literally everywhere! It’s one reason I’ve always been against visiting Aus, I love everything about the country I just can’t deal with the tiny spiders here in England so the thought of the Aus ones just scares me too much 😅

@@joeypriestman6783 Huntsmen spiders are worth mentioning then, they're basically harmless but they big ones are probably 80mm+ leg span, they can appear inside your house on the ceiling or walls and they're way faster moving than something natural should be capable of

I don't have a trade but my old boss was a builder, the only time I saw a snake was when I was packing up all his tools and machines so he could retire. It was a non venomous one that just ignored me. Spiders like huntsman (big suckas) usually just run away, if you're working on pre existing houses you'll find plenty of roaches and sometimes signs of rats. We don't really have anything too frightening except for rock spiders but they're everywhere and unfortunately they're a protected species.
