The battery hammer drills can't keep up with drilling into concrete, the batteries chew too much of the power used to drill and eventually the hammer drill/batteries will deteriate. It's more designed for drilling into brick. A powered hammer drill is always the go too for drilling bolts into concrete.
Put the nut on before you attach the bolt. Father was a journeyman. Before securing any my thing to a structure. I was asked of anything had to be added…. Hahahab
Nice tools. I have the drill, orbital sander and the Bulldog rotary hammer and they perform great. My Bulldog is 4 years old, I don't know what bit size did you use but with my 4Ah CORE batteries I can do about 20 holes with my 10mm bit and about a dozen with my 13mm bit. That's the sweet spot for this tool although it's rated for up to 26mm. If I need extended runtime I plug my 8Ah CORE battery in it.
For anyone that doesnt know hikoki is the rebrand of Hitachi. They make fantastic tools, worth looking out for in pawn shops and the like. Have a 9 inch circular saw that survived a shed blaze and still runs a treat after 30+ years in service. Same goes for the old Japanese made makita tools.
Rarely use an impact driver to screw off bugles, find a drill on low speed gets a better bite, especially when doing new purlins to old pergola frames (especially oregon) I guess it would be to save your wrists, remember almost snapping mine off with the corded drills doing purlins back in the day.
So funny seeing someone else fit out a van exactly how I would, fully on the fly make it up as you go. Have done stack of fitouts to work vehicles over the years and its always the last minute stroke of inspiration that gives you the most satisfaction during the working week. Keep up the great videos cobber!
Out there in the rain still filming, you have an admirable work ethic man. I can imagine the effort it takes to do your jobs plus actually filming yourself, managing your team and then coming home to edit the video. Can already see you'll end up hugely successful
@@glenndfidthis build he is working for himself. He usually states in his videos if he’s contracting or not and he also informs those he’s contracting for about his RU-vid and whether or not they allow him to film is purely up to the contractor.
This is more of an impact wrench that can double as a compact impact wrench. It might do 16mm x 100mm screws in concrete but don't expect much more out of a 210Nm tool
Throw some grease on those screw bolts and even the dyna bolts. They will drive in easier and and give some protection from the concrete rusting them up. Can be a bit messy but your a stickler for quality. You will be knocking back work . Well done.
Makita and Milwaukee go fine in wet weather, I've dropped two makita impacters in a body of water on two separate occasions and they never had any problems, one of them was in a tank for a good 5 minutes and worked the moment I pulled it out
What happend with the bevel cut? your mate gave you a long point measure and you cut short point? 😂 mite of been easier to see blade if you had cut from otherside too the long point measure 😅
Before thinking certain brands have or sound more powerful …read the tool speciations, you’ll be surprised how much more joules or torque Bosch have compared to other brands.
I am diving headfirst into carpentry and looking into being a builder. My dad is a carpenter so I'll be working with him. I'm gonna watch you not just for your wisdom but for motivation as well!
Just swapped to toughbuilt 5 piece framer set up with suspenders for like $200. Durable and super comfy, and the clip lock function has been such a game changer. Integrates beautifully with the pack out stuff too.couldn’t recommend more for the price.
That's a second big thumbs up for Buildpro! Excellent build quality and comfortable all day! They do leather frogs as well as nylon (in my opinion is better)
As someone who has just purchased their first investment property, this video was great in explaining the various framing structures. Informative when you specified the measurements and building codes, and type of timber used in each element. Will consider framing my own house one day! Good to know these things when looking at houses for structural soundness.
All electric moters can be in water, but you just have to make sure you dry it off after so it doesn't rust. the circuit board shouldn't be exposed to water though
They use a bigger version of this in russia to clean out the smoke from their chimneys. No it is not bad for the environment for the smoke that comes out helps their crops
