I’m not trying to put Chelsea fans down, but go easy on this kid. Yes, he was great against Liverpool, but he will have his ups and downs as any young star does. It’s key too not put too much expectations on him and ruin him before his career has a chance to realize its full potential

Well said. He's looked very impressive but still learning his way. This season, we've seen both sides of having so much inexperience in the team. The inconsistency but also the refreshing 'playing without fear'. In Frank, Jody and the other members of the management team, these guys have the right people to guide them.

And yes, he isn't anywhere close to busquets level but just has some striking similarities in his playstyle. I'm a Barca fan and in my opinion no one can emulate what Busquets does and that is straight faxxx.

he hasn't been so bad about that recently, but yeah for a while there he would take too many touches and more often than not end up losing it in the build up. I think Lamps had a word with him though because it hasn't been that way in the last few matches

Not a chelsea fan whatsoever but regardless of your allegance, this kid had max 2-3 bad touches/plays in an entire game against a world class team and that is something to really be proud about. Absolute class, he plays a lot like a smaller version of thiago motta, or maybe a lot like verrati ( although I think he Gilmour has some work to do progressing the play forward on that front).
