This bike is insanely light for a full suspension mtb, the bike rides so firm when you need it to be on the flats, and the suspension works how it should when needed!!

What did your EVO Pro weigh in again? Asking for a friend…. (11.3kg) 11m Carbon, more travel, dropper, no one peice bar and stem, and no Control SL wheels…. This bike is a marketing scheme to give people something “new” to buy…. Dont be conned…. The only specialized riders using it are the ones getting paid extra to do so….

No BS, straight to the weight! Gotta love getting the money shot in the first few seconds. Great review. Still rocking an Epic from 2018 and very happy, but this new Epic is next level for sure.

Front brake cable is way too long. I agree, the rear brake cable penetration is totally awkward. Although it would look better if it was routed through the opposite hole reserved for the dropper cable.

I have my size Medium built to 19.08 pounds with pedals! 18.52 pounds without pedals! One of the most lightweight build I have ever seen for this Specialized Bicycle model size Medium.

OMG! Who built that bike? Take the handlebars off and re install so the brake lines flow properly. Don't let new mechanics install such nice bikes

That's interesting. My 2018 non SWorks Epic (with custom wheels) with similar setup without pedals weighs in at 9,6 kg. This is with the brain rear shock, which weights quite a bit.

Shame it has Sram brakes stock, and shame it has that pointless cable routing that isnt even cleaner looking than with frame input, but otherwise an absolute monster! Btw, would love to see your overview of new Scott Scale RC Ultimate, it's 8.9 kg stock and has Trickstuff brakes

Beautiful bike. I have a SL7. However, the weight of this one is interesting but I often found you need a lot more suspension coming down most mountain terrain. I like going up & then down… my Lefty Cannondale hi-mod is 8kg approx… stock…

Grant, If you still have this bike at the shop any chance you could verify the BB height. Specilized has it at 313MM which even by todays standards seems low. Thanks

I’m actually looking for a full-squish, and am a Specialized fan-boy, but the handlebar is not it, nor the placement of the brake wire. I might look at the Spark.

Hi gc, I Watch a lot of your yt video’s but I am wanting to buy a specialized epic wc frameset. I do have a question because I want to run Shimano xtr 12s in there, is that posible? I only see these bikes with the sram t type, so is there a hole in the back for a shift cable?

Or the EPIC EVO with all the parts on this bike (bars, wheels, XX1 SL and 12m carbon) and it’ll weigh within grams of this bike. My regular Epic in a L is 10.32kg with an dropper and 2 piece bars… My Epic HT is 8.25kg with a dropper.

i would not sacrifice a dropper and lockout from bars for this weight. in my opinion the bike is beautiful but missing this two major things its a L for me.

12k and it doesn’t have a dropper seat , and no lockouts on the bars and no 4 piston breaks . Come on specialized !

this bike is not meant for dropper post and no lockouts the shocks are suppose to do most of thinking for you, just like a well tunbed race car you do not need manual lockouts for the suspension
