A cover of The Korgi's "Everybody's Got To Learn Sometime" (1980), came about when it was playing on the radio at work one day and Seamus thought it would be a good one for us to do. Gary is a huge Korgi's/Stackridge fan so needed little persuading. This was the 3rd song recorded by us, still finding our way a little with the recording technology at our disposal, but the end result is pleasing enough. The video captures a late June evening in Home Park, part of the Hampton Court estate, and the sunset we ended up recording against was not the original intention. We'd intended to begin a couple of hours earlier but couldn't do what we originally wanted to (my memory fails me as to what that was). As a last ditch effort in the failing light we headed to Home Park and spoke to a groundsman there (of which Gary is also, so he knew him), and we were granted a bit of time to record some clips. It was done on an iPhone 4 without a tripod or image stabilization so is a bit shaky! We could've done a far slicker version in 2015 but there you go, it is what it is. It was originally uploaded to RU-vid in 2011 but due to an administrative error was lost to the ether forever. Found on computer recently and now back. It is pretty authentic to the original, the main difference being the violin section added to the coda, which featured on a version by John Miles. It can be found here: • Night of the Proms 200...
