Editor’s Note: This is a re-post of a previous version of this video. A couple of our friends pointed out a confusing section so we made some changes to make we weren’t promoting any false information about. Good rule of thumb is to check in with your local Fishing and Wildlife Department to make sure that you’re fishing lawfully and responsibly. We’d like to thank those of you who pointed this out.
Take a look at the pinned comment for the explanation (copy and pasted from the description.) Simply put: we felt that there was an edit we needed to make to better communicate responsible fishing practices and Josh's approach to fishing and foraging.
It really bugs me that all these EDC videos feature people who travel to cool places, mostly with carry-on luggage.....all in possession of knives. Why not just add an AK as well? None of that is getting on a plane, and you know it. Drop the sharp stuff from your EDC flyers kits, as it will be surrendered at security anyways. Is this just a ploy to sell more knives?
Hey Marshall. You're right, knives won't make it onto carry-on luggage! Good call out. Yes, a lot of people we feature in our EDC videos do go to cool places on planes, but almost all of them travel with checked luggage as well. We're just most excited about featuring the handful of things they can't live without on a trip, or a just adventuring around their own cities. Usually it all fits into their daily backpack. One thing is for sure, here at Huckberry, a lot of us do carry knives on us everyday. So we like nerding out about them with others. If we really need it when traveling internationally, we'll throw it in a checked bag, or we just won't bring it. But we totally will throw it a bag for a day trip foraging for mushrooms like Josh does in this video. If you are curious about what Josh packs in his checked luggage when he travels, check out his most recent video here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-0cK6dZUKkPM.html We also had Portugal. We'll make sure to add in some context for leaving your knives in checked bags for future videos!
