Everyone NEEDS to Know What CHINA is Really Like... 

I am a Malaysian Chinese. Before I went to China, I thought that China was not free. The media in Europe and the United States and Taiwan Province all reported negatively. Since I went to China in May this year, I found that it was not what the media reported. China is a thriving scene. I have planned my next trip to China, and I am looking forward to it.

Actually visiting china will open your mind. Thought its super strict and not free but honestly felt more free in china than the US. It also very safe and people are friendly.

Everyday, I see these videos from young people from outside China who are amazed by their Chinese trips. You really have to visit yourself to believe what you see. Enjoy.

My Australian friends just came back from Shen Zhen and Shang Hai China and they told me Shen Zhen is just so much more advanced, beautiful and livable than Sydney.Shen Zhen is better than Shang Hai too . The food is so cheap and delicious in China.

Without fail every traveller to China showed in their vlogs the typical lives of the Chinese people and not unsurprisingly the locals don't appear oppressed or miserable as continuosly slandered by US/Western politicians and media. This really vindicated my distrust of their reports on China lol.

Dumplings (Jiaozi) - Shape: Typically crescent-shaped with pleated edges. - Dough: Made with thin, unleavened dough. - Filling: Varied, including meats (such as pork, beef, chicken), seafood (such as shrimp, fish), and vegetables (such as cabbage, chives, mushrooms). - Preparation: Can be boiled, steamed, pan-fried, or deep-fried. Boiling is the most common method, where dumplings are cooked in water until they float to the top. - Serving: Often enjoyed as a main meal or during festivals, usually served with dipping sauces like soy sauce, vinegar, or chili oil. Steamed Buns (Baozi) - Shape: Generally round with a pinched top, resembling a small pouch. - Dough: Made with thick, leavened dough, which is soft and fluffy. - Filling: Includes meat fillings (such as pork, beef, chicken), vegetarian fillings (such as cabbage, mushrooms, tofu), and sweet fillings (such as red bean paste, lotus seed paste, custard). - Preparation: Primarily steamed in a steamer for about 10-15 minutes until fully cooked. - Serving: Commonly eaten as breakfast or a snack, especially in northern China, often paired with soy milk or porridge. Pan-Fried Buns (Sheng Jian Bao) - Shape: Typically round with a flat bottom. - Dough: Made with thick, leavened dough, similar to steamed buns, which is soft and fluffy. - Filling: Mainly meat fillings, often pork, with a juicy center. - Preparation: First pan-fried to achieve a golden-brown bottom, then a small amount of water is added, and the buns are covered to steam, cooking the tops through. - Serving: Usually eaten as breakfast or a snack. They have a crispy bottom and a juicy interior, often served with vinegar and ginger strips. Summary - Dumplings (Jiaozi): Crescent-shaped, thin unleavened dough, various fillings, can be boiled, steamed, pan-fried, or deep-fried. - Steamed Buns (Baozi): Round with a pinched top, thick leavened dough, steamed, with a variety of fillings including sweet options. - Pan-Fried Buns (Sheng Jian Bao): Round with a flat bottom, thick leavened dough, pan-fried then steamed, usually filled with juicy meat.

Vinegar and sashimi buns are a perfect match. The correct way to eat it is to take a small bite and slowly suck the soup inside.

the pan fried buns are called Sheng Jian Bao they are a Shanghai specialty. The trick is chopstick + spoon, bite a small hole into the skin and slurp the soup out its still very hot of course ! but here's the best part make a condiments mixture of the black Vinegar + chilli oil and dip the bun into it. chefs kiss!

The delicious food in China is actually found in low-end and mid-range restaurants, with a few in high-end restaurants.

The actual Yu Garden (or Yu yuan) is the main tourist attraction there was built in Ming Dynasty 16th century so it is ancient, which you don't seem to have visited. However the Yuyuan Bazaar surrounding it, which you went is only the modern part built in recent times, in the same Ming style to house modern souvenir shops for tourism.

The Yu garden area is actually very old. It has been a market place for the locals since early Ming dynasty. The Yu Garden, which is located in the center of the market, is more than 400 years old.

Tofu, dumplings, buns, and soup should not be eaten at high temperatures as they may burn the esophagus and mouth and cause ulcers.
