In today's video, we head out into the city of Manila to visit the area just outside of Dolomite Beach. I decided that I wanted to test out taking a Jeepney as this is the iconic transportation used amongst locals in the area. After not having any success finding the right Jeepney, I ended up taking a 3 wheeler about 60% of the distance. After we hit some traffic, I then decided to continue by foot until I was able to locate another Jeepney. Once on the Jeepney, I enjoyed a great ride through the city and then right when I got off I surprised everyone on board with a free ride home! After that, I walked the remaining distance to meet up with my buddy ‪@WalidsJourney‬.

Just take note thatDolomite Beach is beside the US Embassy on the left if you are walking towards Manila Yacht club. you might have missed the gate, perhaps it was closed because it is being closed every Thursday for clean up day.

The dessert at 40:56 It's called leche flan but the version you guys ate has some cream on the side which the typical leche flan do not have. depends on who's preparing. Some people sell leche flan (or any dessert for that matter) on foot for a few extra bucks and those lunch box like containers can be bought from your local market or grocery.

I love your interaction with the locals! Just some notes: “kuya” and “ate” specifically refers to someone older than you. Be careful using them because it can make an awkward situation when referring to teenagers and kids, and it can make someone feel older than they really are. “Salamat po” (“thank you”) is most commonly used when speaking with people in general. The “po” makes it respectful and polite.

In case you'll try the jeepney again... I suggest you learn their route. It is indicated on the signs by the windshield of the Jeep, if your destination is along the route then you can ride... jeepneys cannot go outside of their designated route or they'd be in trouble with the authorities... also, payment is per distance so know the price, I forgot the minimum though, not sure anymore😅 enjoy your stay brother...

You are beyond generous for giving the jeepney driver PhP 1,000 to make everyone's fares free, is a blessing! Although I would advise you to search for the routes to your destination prior to going there, as some people do not really know how to get to that place. Did you know that the Dolomite beach is a controversial one, with having the sand quarried from Cebu province, and transported there for a staggering price of P389 million, and was definitely a massive waste of people's money. 38:43 - Bangus, or milkfish is the Philippines' national fish, and is a saltwater fish.
