👋 Today I rematch my Nissan GTR against my Toyota Supra!! Both cars are full bolt ons and tuned to some crazy power! This time i do launch control in the GTR both from a dig and using the anti lag rolling launch! Does a tuned A90 Toyota Supra have a chance against the Nissan GTR with launch control?🏎

👁 About this video : In todays video we rematch my FBO GTR vs FBO Supra! Both the Supra vs GTR have a ton of power and are such a blast to drive. But you have to drive them completely different to get the fun factor! The Nissan GTR packs an absolute punch when it's in the proper gear and especially when using rolling launch control aka anti lag. The Toyota Supra now that it is tuned with a downpipe and is FBO, makes crazy power too and has no turbo lag. So both cars put a nice race towards each other and do pretty well. However after getting called out previously having the GTR at a gear disadvantage, I had both cars in an optimal gear for the speed. Clearly the Nissan GTR is crazy fast and smokes the tuned Supra really good! Supra does do a good job hanging in there and is certainly way faster then it was when stock. But GTR still takes the win over the A90 Toyota Supra!

Hey man love the video!!! Quick question boost gauge on the GTR what setting do you have it on? Trying to figure out where is the high boost on Cobb tune is it on 0 or all the way down to -15...?

For me my maps go from 0, 1, 2, 3 and 4. Two is full 19psi boost, 3 is flames, 4 is valet. 0 and 1 are low and medium.

I have the A90 garage downpipe paired to the AWE exhaust. Honestly the Armytrix Supra exhaust sounded like a stock system. AWE was the only one that had an aggressive deep tone

I noticed that GT-R lunches they bog alot. did you turn traction control off?

Traction was in the R setting. I believe thats the proper setting to use launch control. If it was completely off, the tires would just light up. Spins quite a bit on this surface. So not optimal unfortunately.

Great follow up vid! I knew the GTR was not unleashed. Now a fair matchup for the Supra would be a tuned Q50/Q60 RS400. With bolt ons and a tune those cars get similar HP numbers as your Supra but have more torque but they weigh 800 lbs more. They cost about the same price also. make it happen please... 👍 Oh and big props to the Supra also.

Love both of these cars. The Supra looks the part more than the R35, but man, the GT-R has earned it's "Godzilla" nick name. It is amazing that a car with a basic design produced back in 2009 can still run with damn near anything.

The Supra certainly has a more cleaner design and just looks so good! GTR is that old school functional look. But you can tell it's a step above and ahead of it's time since these cars are still killing everything out there!

Haha yeah the GTR is pretty boggy in 3rd at 30. But still a good test to see how identical settings cause the cars to perform. When they are each in the correct gear, GTR just rips!

Wow, the comment I made on the original video of the Supra vs the GTR about how rolling launch might smoke the Supra... DANNG I didn’t think it would just DESTROY it, thought it would be neck and neck for at lot longer (maybe like 2-4 seconds) 😂 (Also still can’t get over those rims on the GTR, absolute 🔥)

Yeah I was thinking the Supra would have pulled ahead for a second. But that speed in 2nd is like optimal rpm and literally hits with full power! It puts you back in the seat instantly. 😎. And thanks, I’m loving the Vossen wheels!

I would wait atleast a few more seconds when doing launch control on the gtr. You want to make sure the turbos have time to spool.

I let off the break right when it hit 3,500 rpm. The tires spun enough that way, would probably spin more if the turbos had more spool 😅

Absolutely man. If I had a Mustang gt or anything over 300hp for a first car I’d be ded rn. Started with a frs, then a 5.0, now I’m getting a Supra. Surprisingly I got into an accident in the frs, but never in the 5.0 cause I learned to control rwd cars in the frs. Summary- never buy anything over 300hp for a first car please.😂

Haha it ‘can’ smoke it if the GTR is at a slight gear disadvantage 😅😅😅. Supra holds its own but is no match

You can build boost on launch. Don't drop as soon as you get to 3500, leave it in for 2-3 seconds. Launch would be a LOT better. Also, since you're FBO, do R-C-R. Comfort on suspension so the car would absorb more weight transfer weighing down the rears.

Good points. The only downside with comfort mode is above 100 mph it feels a bit floaty. I tried that on the drag strip before, and it was a bit unsettling

The GT-R is still the Godzilla. Even tho it's more than 10 years old it still kills supercars of present day. Nd it is faster than the BMW Z4 in Toyota supra disguise. The GT-R still has the impressive 0.27 Drag coefficient compared to the bugatti chiron having 0.36 drag coefficient

Both cars are on 93 octane. I've heard good things about an E blend of some sort tho.

I was too focused on having them in the same exact setting to really test how they each pull in the same gear. When I was editing that vid, that's when I was wishing I dropped the GTR a gear just to see. Then all the comments about that made it so I had to do a rematch ;) LOL

If you put launch control on the super which should be possible it will most likely spin unless he gets a burnout 1st, if he has the right tire and they are hot enough it might be close

Yeah I would need very wide drag tires and a perfect road and launch rpm for the Supra to do well. If it could hook it’d give the GTR a better run

For sure! My stock GTR smoked a ZR1 at the drag strip to 125mph. Not much can actually beat it from a dig 👌🏼

1- Get 305 r888r in the Supra 2- Get E50 Tune 3- Do a Burnout 4- Race the GTR again. I still think the GTR will win, but will be much more closer.

That Supra isn’t anywhere near as fast as the GTR in any fair test you can come up with. That being said that Supra is a Torque monster especially for how light it is. The Supra is just begging for a set of drag wheels and tires and a quarter mile track. Hopefully, you can take it to the track one day. That is where it really could shine.

Yeah overall the GTR kills it! But the Supra feels way faster around town because that torque is so instant. Would love to see how fast it can launch on race tires that hook!

I can definitely do an E blend for the Supra which will bump it up a ton!! Then do a bigger turbo for over 600 WHP. So there is room 🙌🏼

From what I've seen you put the traction control in the first click mode. VDC off will just light up the tires

I've seen that at least 700 WHP is fine on the stock trans. Both cars are over engineered a ton! They each can handle similar numbers. Been stage 3 on the GTR for over a year. But we'll see how they each do! I have high hopes! lol

@@Eddy-09 approximately 720ft/lbs. you can find the dyno sheet on my @zupra_man IG from last year. I’m still on the stock unopened block and making well into the 800s. I am on the jacks750 transmission, and it’s holding beautifully

@@becool565 You would need a new custom tune with pure800 turbo (stage 2 tune in bootmod3 will not work). Supra with pure800 turbo will be around 550-650whp. i think it will give the GTR a good run

Haha the driver in the GTR waited like a split second too late to do launch control. So had to let it hit the correct RPM before going. Supra has nothing on AWD launch 😅

@@BrosFOURRSpeed Try getting the DSC sport controller. Street launches have hooked incredibly well and was day & night difference for me. Plus you really feel a big difference when going to "comfort" mode and "R" mode.

Underneath the glove compartment you just need to find the housing, swap the PCB boards that plugs right in, and you're good to go. If you really wanted to deep dive into it you can actually electronically tune your suspension via a computer and change the values. That's way above my head and most would agree swapping as-is is still far better than stock. Side note. With the DSC sport controller it has a specific sequence that stances the suspension specifically for launches. Procedure is same as how you would normally launch a GTR (brake 100%, gas 100%, left off gas) but you blip the throttle prior to 100% gas.

That’s where your wrong, supra has never came close to gtr. Why you think gtr is Godzilla. A well tuned gtr nothing in the world can touch it. You can have a max tuned supra and still wouldn’t come close to gtr. It’s been proven so many times. Gtr will outdue and outlast Toyota for ever. A tuned mustang will beat supra😂 and ford is second to the worst made vehicles.

@@jackchn23 When you drive, do you ever look at your nav screen to navigate? Or look at your climate controls to make an adjustment? Or look at the radio to change stations? Or look at your passenger during a conversation? Those are the same types of things to makes your eyes briefly look away from the road. Texting and driving however is the distraction you should worry about. Thats when you are completely focused on something other than driving, and your eyes and mind are off the road. There is a big difference and I do not condone that. I guarantee every time you've driven your car, you have removed you're eyes off the immediate road ahead. But that doesn't mean you're not paying attention.
