singaporean here , im listening to this episode while working, when listening i feel like i am listening to an educated minister of parliament , not at all angmoh
Thank you Mr Nordin for your wisdom. Hearing his style of speech, makes me feels like he's been through a lot but because of his persistant, he is thriving. That is a good motivational speech right there. Because it motivate me too. Maybe something will go my way in 3 years, 5 years or in the future. As long as I persist and keep going, there well be a reward. I feel that when he said, "If you stop, you're dead. If you backwards, you're dead. So the way is forward." Thank you. I really need to hear that.
Kudos Nordin Abdullah and very classic name as well. Generally, Malaysians speak Manglish rapidly, like they would their own tongue. So, I told friends to speak slower Manglish to foreigners so that they are understood. There is nothing wrong with Manglish. According to my teacher, Mr John Hill, the purpose of a language is to be understood and as long as foreigners can understand you, that language works.
With time, some people can grow into the place and culture they settle in, some don't. It is based on talent (natural linguist), affinity (soul and heart connection), and perception (can they accept the strange or alien language or culture and assimilate with them, or will they stay mentally separated from them as strangers with strong and exclusive individuality?). That's what I can observe so far, at least. And now we know at least three white men had settled down in Malaysia so far and married the local Malay women and they're quite well-known on RU-vid.
As a Singaporean Malay,I prefer to retired in either of these 4 northern states like Perlis,Kedah,Terengganu & Kelantan.Renounce my citizenship, buy land.
You know, you can't buy land like that in Kelantan. Almost all land in Kelantan have their own owner. It's not the same as other state and other country. Kelantanese priorities land for their generation
Welcome to Kelantan. Its not easy to buy land in Kelantan unless you hv kelantanese wife, tp kami sudi mengalu alukan kedatangan tuan. Dan sy faham knp tuan memilih 4 negeri tersebut. Jiha tidak salah masih blh membeli dgn syarat tuan tinggal di kelantan dlm tempoh tertentu. 🎉🎉
I agree with him. Salary should go up but so must productivity. It will take generations for some to ditch the 'entitlement' mentality but if Malaysians are successful in doing that, it will no doubt become the Tiger of ASEAN again.
@@stmpo5595Even a Chinese is entitled in China an Indian is entitled in India, and a white American or European is entitled in America and Europe, so what is this talk about "entitlement" for native people in Malaysia? 🤔
@@nutzhazel what do you know about they are entitled for? List down their entitlement that you know. Do they entitle for "crutches" as majority people in their country?
Wow, some of his answers are really deep…if they came truthfully and directly from his heart, a big thumbs up to him. Well said and I am truly humbled by him.
Besides Singaporeans, I must admit even Indonesians seem to enjoy disputing with Malaysians over cultural heritage, especially batik, wayang kulit, rendang, songket as well as folk songs such as Rasa Sayang and Soleram (Suriram in Malaysia).
(SE Asians be like) 😂 padahal kita semua serumpun aka we're basically born from the same roots of cultural heritages and bloodlines. Cthnya orang Sabah dgn Sarawak mcm bersaudara dgn org Filipina; loghat dia pun sama.
I hope our blardy minister listem to what was saod in the 5min mark.... malaysia meed to make use of our good geo location and the cost comoare to Singapore.
Manglish and singlish are just applied for conversation but not in writing.we still follow american or british English in writing as have to be in proper English.
Singaporean here : AFAIK Manglish differs from different parts of malaysia, for example KL have their style , Penang have their own style albeit minute . i know for example a very Malaysia style of manglish is the use of the word Simply " eh that feller SIMMMMMPLY WALK ONLY! NEVER WAIT FOR THE TRAFFIC LIGHT!" Singaporeans never use this word that way.
Malaysians make english more easy,we don't use bombastic words, straight forward,we don't try hard to impress and can use 3 language mixed with english in 1 sentence. we used to be a great country and we moving towards getting back to become a great country again.
I felt he didn't give too much insight on Malaysia in this video but he did sure drop some gems on life advice. At the end when he was talking about not getting a certain outcome or opportunity at 1st and then you eventually get it you might tell yourself I did not get it immediately because maybe I was not ready for it yet. Everything has its place and time.
Borneo will be the most interesting place to live in 10 20 and more years soon.....Indonesia capitol city move to Borneo, (Kalimantan) , is the opportunity for us as a Malaysian people to shift from regular living to modern and or extra living style because of the changes in eco-politic, socio-economy, cultural, not only for Sarawakian or Sabahan people, generally for all Malaysian
Malaysian, like the poor that aspire to be the rich, but instead of working harder to be rich, stopped the hardworking and instead act like already rich, or act the way what the rich looks like. Humble, grounded, honest, integrity vs short cut approach.
rich have many definition in terms of different perspective...poor when use your/or whatever standard perspective you take in but rich from different perspective...
I've been praying at the mosque and after a long time I found out one of the men praying together is a white British man, he's been here so long he looks local and can't speak English with British accent anymore.
This dude has not lost his OZ accent. When he meet another Aussie then he would switch to his OZ accent. If he speak Manglis he did not do Malayan a favour. Speaking Manglis only fail to encourage others to speak proper BBC English. In Singapore it is amazing to have a common Singapore type of English these days. Previously TV News reader had to fake a British accent but not American spoken English. Since the introduction of the Malay language, Malaya have lost the ability to read and spoke proper BBC English. This Aussie is not doing Malayan any favour. I have switch off listening to the radio as poor English is spoken. In Singapore TV News reader do speak with a kind of English accent or they speak Singapore as taught in schools. Malaya policy in speaking Malay is doing the public not to speak proper BBC English. If the person is not proficient in English then they are unable to follow the English used in Computer science. Singapore is light years ahead of Malaya but non Malay thrives because they speak 3 languages - Malay, English and Putonghua. The public needs to speak and write in Putonghua as more and more investment come to Malaysia. The Malay language Act have killed the English language. But the Malay is not bothered at all . Ha Ha Ha .....
Dia buat content pasal Malaysia sebab nak tarik view je. Tapi mengaku orang Malaysia.
