@@leinardesteves3987 Is it just me, because I don't understand/hear a damn thing of what he's saying. The music is far too loud and the voice far too quiet.
Yeah, be like : YOUR UNDER ATTACK U NUMBSKULL!! DO SOMETHING!!, DONT JUST SIT THERE!.. OMG!, YOUR IN DENIAL! Or perhaps a tourettes voice pack xD : UR FUCKING UNDER ATTACK, U GONNA DO SOMETHING U P*SSY!? .. *goes back to normal voice* - Sorry, but you should really do something about that though.. lmao x)
I have created my own VoiceAttack profile and it’s amazing. You can even make your own responses by using a text to speech program and Audacity to record
I love this shit lol, I'd think Brent Spiner (Commander Data) would suit better as he is a navigator, giving a captain instructions sounds a bit weird. Imagine Jeremy Clarkson as a voice he'd say 'POWER!!' for when you boost lol.
its an amazing feat, these voice packs, but it would be much better if it could hook into the game, and actually act in accordance of the environment (like exactly knowing it moved 30 meters when it says it did, instead of just timing it)
HCS Voice Packs you mean theres going to be an API? i havent played the game since 3 vultures destroyed my ship when it was still buggy so i dont really follow, but that would be an awesome news
I love the HCS voice packs. I already own Astra. I'd like to purchase both the William Shatner and Brent Spiner and possibly other packs. Do you do a multipack discount or will you be running any discount sales over the xmas period in a similar fashion to Steam xmas sales?
Farscape voice pack when? Ben Browder, Gigi Edgley, Claudia Black, Lani Tupu, Anthony Simcoe, Wayne Pygram, Paul Goddard, Virginia Hey, Jonathan Hardy. As my favorite sci-fi show this would be epic.
It would be fun if there was a holographic cat roaming around to coincide with HCS-VP "Ships Cat", funnier still the other HCS packs don't like the cat in varying degrees, from tolerable to "If I had a body it would be out an airlock" (no , it's solid). ;-)
Newbie researching before jumping in. I have ED W/Hor, VA and HCS Eden. I have a Thrustmaster T16000M HOTAS. How can I look around smoothly like this video without VR or Track-IR? Is there a key binding I could use to maybe use the small analog joystick on my throttle? Thanks.
I don't quite understand. Are the commands pre-made or can I make it say whatever I want? Also, is mapping file included for the HOTAS or do I have to set it up manually? I really wanna give it a go but I'm not really sure lol
Is there a way we can suggest voice actors?! i'd love to have troy baker or even laura bailey as my ship ai! hell i'll even take a crispin freeman. all very good voice actors.
If they approached Natalie Dormer to lend her voice, she'd definitely be up for it. She's a bit of a secret scifi geek... and I would want this sooo had! Lol
When I bought my voice-pack it was an easy choice, ASTRA was the only available pack :P Getting a new HOTAS today to finally upgrade my thrustmaster hotas-x. I'm so torn on whether or not I want a new voice-pack and which one to get :(!
Stijn van Rijswijk Understood - And with the new Singularity Profile coming soon (One profile fits all / Role calling a crew for departmental tasking) it's going to be a problem for many....A very welcome problem though 😉
These voice packs sound amazing! However, is there a way to have a key word to activate the A.I? For example you have to say "ship" or "computer" followed by a command?
Stapley Online i use dark and he pipes up randomly when i say a key word with a long enough pause for him to pick it up. i really need to program a shutup command
I love VoiceAttck, especially in VR. I would be great if someone would produce a utility to import your keymappings from the game into VoiceAttack though. The requirement to have your keybindings mapped the way VoiceAttack expects them to be mapped is a real pain. Sure, you can adjust the macros in VoiceAttack, but it's quite a minefield.
I can't speak for other voice packs, but the Astra pack i got comes with a profile for the kb and mouse. That way you don't have to go through EVERY button push, its set for you. He has a video on it and how to apply it. (not the one where he says every command in ED). Its just already set and you paste it into your ED key binding folder.
So basically they are premade macros that also play a sound file when you use them. I like it. Simple and immersive. I have never used voice attack so if I were to heavily rebind things would that mess with the macros?
The Macros in Voice Attack are very intuitive to construct with their system. All it takes is a little forethought and very little trial and error for timing of key presses to best suit your play style and to ensure key presses aren't occurring longer than necessary and locking out that key(But I believe you can change settings so you can override it if needed). For example request docking(to me) looks like it triggers number "1" then "e" twice to reach contacts and then "s" once and "e" once again and then selected with "space" before reversing the whole sequence to ensure the menu is in the same starting position after each macro. Because if you started the macro with the nav panel on contacts then of course that prev sequence would not end up in your requesting docking. I'm not positive that is how they set this up but that is what It looks like to me from the video. It is how I have set up my Voice attack for a large number of commands before I found out about these packs and such. Another good example is binding keys to shield cell and heat sink then when you tell it to pop a shield cell you can also have it simultaneously deploy a heat sink to prevent overheating thus removing a second task you must initiate with voice or key stroke. You just have to be creating and start at the top of the controls panel and slowly work your way down creating your custom voice commands as you go since jumping around to different commands could cause you to get confused and result in your keyboards bindings being a total mess. I personally did lot of "shift" "1" or "2" etc..to bind many obscure tasks because that way you double the number of keys for your number row (and you don't have to worry about accidentally hitting the key for an obscure thing like jettison cargo as you never use shift+key it is bound to in elite during normal play(Or I don't anyway because elite doesn't auto bind shift+key bindings unless you go in and do it yourself)) and for any key with a secondary function other than caps and this allowed me to bind things I never had bound before in my 3 years of playing. I highly recommend Voice Attack. It only took me about 2 hours to fully set up my own fully custom profile (I didn't know about packs) and that is around 40 or more commands I created and tested in that time frame (plus many duplicates for example "systems power/system power/power systems/power system" all doing the same thing to account for variations in my speech ensuring it will always do what I want even if I say the command slightly different each time. Also at this time Voice Attack is all of $10 USD so I mean come on that is a true bargain in my book and you can use it to control your computer itself and other games, it is not just limited to Elite Dangerous. You can even do dictations with it or use your voice to open programs and browse the internet or any number of other things. Highly recommended 9.8/10
quick question ,i have bought the verity pack a few months ago ,but now with fighters bays etc some of the comands dont work anymore ,how can i download an updated version? or do i have to repurchase? thanks in advance
lasse kreikemeier An update has been released. Oh, and another including new content she recorded (500 new sounds) are out this weekend. Email info@theqnn.com if you've had issues getting your update email.:)
Use whatever binds you wish - You can set up the keybindings to your liking, then simply ask your Ai "import my control settings" - That's it. Freedom of choice with the keys has now been organised ;)
That is fantastic, thank you for answering my question, I will certainly be picking up a voice pack soon, now the hardest part, picking which one to start with ;)
I know people love william and many other stars to do the voices. but do you have a serious voice. something with a deep voice a no nonsense serious voice... :D - just curiously asking.
TwstedTV They all have generic vanilla script. And that can accomplished with most packs. However, a RU-vidr called Noobifier is currently recording a very fast efficient pack and we have plans for others. Jazz is pretty serious as is Astra. Alix is probably the most serious along with Verity. And Vega by Brent Spiner is also quite serious. You can change the responses into vanilla only.
I agree with Robert. - thats true, microsoft will not allow this, as they previously created voice packs, and when they see ppl are interested in them, microsoft will dust off their voice thingy and the ugliness will start. if microsoft finds out that someone somehow created things like voice packs for their merch, they will immediately stop it and put their own, which then they will ruin the game and the experience.
should have been scotty's voice , it just seems a bit odd giving commands to captain james t kirk or maybe holly from red dwarf ? now that could be amusing lol
It doesn't feel odd - And this is something that was carefully considered when recording his pack. If you listen carefully to Orion, he's almost humouring you with his responses. You can either make him a serious Ai, or adjust your options in the customiser to make him a little flippant. It works.
@@hcsvoicepacks oh it wasnt a critisism of your excellent work , far from it . just my personal take on it . having grown up with Kirk in command i just find it a little disconcerting to give commands to a child hood hero . but i do have to agree his flippent and some what slightly sarcastic tone is an excellent addition and very well thought out and implimented from what i have seen / heard so far . unlike my origanal post lol now i have read it it is not in the spirit i intended it to be ,and therefore appologize for it . i guess in the excitment of discovering this awsome feature /product , i may have thrown caution and etiquette to the solar winds in wreckless abondonment ! but i would still rather trust the engineering department to Scotty lol
Also have you thought of mixed packs? Like Shatner only responding to questions about space and giving me warnings when I'm messing up, then someone who played a navigator dealing with those commands and responses, same for maneuvering...etc. Baker could replace the computer for all the extra knowledge.
Ah I see. I had thought he may have been using Bi-Weaves but if that was only a 3B and they recharge twice as fast in supercruise that makes a lot of sense as his shields dropped very fast.
See, I like this, but I don't like the sassiness of the AI that I hear in all the trailers. I just want a simple response, no sarcasm, no ominous warnings, just an AI that does what I ask
you might as well stay at a station and let your ship fly it self, the fun is to fly and control your ship, yourself, not let a Voice Pack do it for you.
