@evoindia at first Tata Motors need to improve their sales & service experience. I own a tata harrier and the delivery day experience and just todays 3rd service experience is damn damn pathetic. I sold my Tata shares that I had purchased. Don't want to invest anymore into Tata's Business or their products here on !. This is the very reason that Maruti and Hyundai have a upper hand though their cars may not have 5star NCAP rating. Convey my thoughts to Tushar Kulkarni through your channel
Wonderful discussion. Thanks Mr. Kulkarni for offering his deep insights. I'd like to know more about where Indian EV technology stands vis-a-vis that of China.
Can you please ask Mr. Kulkarni how do they plan to deal with known issue with Tata EV of SOC drop, HV Battery error and Limp mode error randomly in 50% of Tata Evs? What updates are they planning for their old EVs?
Why there is no talk about the next generation Tiago & tigor .?? These cars are dated now.. Can we expect it in the mere future or not .? I expected Sirish to ask this 😢
Nice podcast, if this feedback can go to Anand appreciate it, for 35 years never bought a Tata car, but will buy Curvv if they can change the flowery design of those wheels, weird looking wheels not matching the profile of Curvv which is more of a path breaking design and the wheels being so conservative
@@rahulkhanna3876 Keep crying I will laugh when you sell your petrol car for 5% of its original price 6 years later, and my 2021 nexon ev will still run that day, and will keep running like new 9 year later when I replace the battery , and the old battery will be recycled to make powerbanks for phones in tata's battery recycling plant newly opened in haryana You shall weep that day
I want TATA to look global and focus local. I want TATA to see: - Kia EV3 - BYD Seagull and Atto 3 - Nissan Ariya Now, let’s have the Avinya in the market with 500 plus real word range with 80 kWh batteries. - Fast Charging (30 mins for 80%) - Around 30 lakh price tag
No ... this kind of Charging Infra is simply not there !!! 200KW charging stations is Just not possible in the existing DISCOM Electrical Infrastructure !!!
@@VermaRajinder 1. ratio of coal power generation is coming down and it came below 50 percent mark just recently. 2. you talk about polution caused because of extraction of rare minerals. You think petrol and diesel extraction and manufacturing process don't cause pollution. Do you understand how much heat and polluting agents are continuously caused by ICE vehicles? 3. since EV technology is newer, it will take time to mature and attitudes of buyers will also change over time.
EVs are happening. People like it or not. Technology doesn’t go backwards. Green Energy - we can generate more and cheaper. Cars are better Electric - Cost, Noise and Tech.
I own Nexon EV from first generation. I have observed many issues with that vehicle. Tata service centre doesn't have enough capability and experts to solve the many small problems. Be it with BMS, range, charging issues, charger heating issues and so on. 2020, 2021,2022 nexon ev and other buyers started selling the tata evs and started moving to different ev brands those are well known and better customer and service support. I request Anandji please start looking at customer satisfaction and first generation vehicle problem resolution as the highest priority item. As once customers would start loosing the faith, EVs would be treated like tata indica and brand value would be diluted like anything.
man every time you bring a expert its just funnnn.please bring more industry people to know their thinking closely in an interview they are very formal but in podcast you know the unfiltered person unfilter thought thats great
I was hoping that you would talk about the data touchscreen system which or not a bit compare able to Tesla or other brands which have their own Internet route planning at Sectra
Hardly any question about Tata curvv and it's delayed launch. You could have also asked about software niggles, and service issues in Tata cars, especially with EVs.
Sir, talked about the inflection point and body style options I completely agree with his view. I strongly believe the next set of customers who're opting for an EV is going to use the vehicle for both city and highways hence cars delivering 350 - 400 real world range has huge potential. I hope tata motors when they launch an Altroz EV it would give that range. We are waiting for a home grown hot hatch. Tata please make our wait worthwhile
Nexon LR may give that range but it's not a hatchback. Still many people in India love that body style. EV hot hatch would be head Turner. Moreover when it comes to driving dynamics the hatch performs better than the SUV anytime
@@abiramgurusamy1820 maybe Tata is waiting for altroz facelift so that they can launch both cars simultaneously Though if you see price wise, altroz and punch EV will occupy same price bracket and make it less ideal for economy of scale as they have to make two cars and split the assembly line for two models Hatch supremacy is obv present no doubt in terms of stability and handling but you are wrong on popularity end. Crossovers are selling far more than hatchbacks. Gone are the days when hatchbacks used to make majority sales
If the battery chemistry, or technology changes in future, will you give the old customers (eg existing Nexon owners) an option to go for the new battery, maybe at an extra premium, when the battery comes for replacement? When all the EVs are built on the new activ.ev platform, what will happen to the battery support for the older non activ.ev platform cars?
Can you please tell how common? Even Hyundai Evs have lot of complaints online like battery replacement and sudden shut down.....so you need to elaborate your comment....
3 cheers to Tata. Ev's....What about manufacturing of battery cells by Tata ?When will we see Tata lithium ion battery cells and their specifications.?
tata charger failed me on the trans haryana highway

Good to know that Tata Motors has a lineup of multi generation EVs planned running into 2025. Can they first fix the battery drain problem in my 2023 Tata Safari? It doesn't give a lot of confidence into their electrical abilities if I have to run around their workshop for battery drain twice in a matter of 2 months 😂
Give importance to harrier EV and its price. Lot of people do not buy harrier because it's available just in diesel , people don't trust/like Tata petrol options so EV is your best chance . Give importance to software. Adding boot to nexon doesn't make it mid size SUV , stop such jugads . New product shouldn't be such jugad .Harrier EV and harrier petrol should have been your priority. Instead of bringing harrier EV at 17lakh you are adding boot to nexon . If you consider SUV , gst and cess tax in ICE is 50% , if the same SUV is made EV then gst and cess tax will be just 5% . This 45% money save is equal to provide battery pack that's large enough to give 500km real world range . Above this EVs get road tax waved off . So this should enable companies to launch SUV EVs at ex showroom price lower than ICE SUV . But companies like TATA are misusing this and selling EVs at very high price , just to make huge money . This is the reason they can bring down price of their vehicles whenever required as they are already set high price . 20lakh for nexon, , ridiculous. Such mentality cannot bring change in Indian mobility, they just want to take advantage and make money in short time. Government should stop road tax waver for EVs and instead pay back that money as subsidy. GST and CESS should be made 5% for hybrid cars as well or else companies like TATA keep taking advantage.

Real World 500km is kinda like a necessity for a Car above 20-25 lakhs and anand sir lacking assurance to that question is quite disappointing i feel Tamo is approaching of banking on harrier's face value and thus providing minimum value to it's customers maybe like are they going to put a 60-65kw baby battery on a Harrier that they're not confident in answering/assuring that 500km real range mark
My tata altroz xza purchased on August 2024, 9 months old, 10k KM driven. Parts replaced since day 1: 1. Front viper blade and stalk 2. Fuel filler cap assembly 3. Infotainment screen base border plastic 4. Right B pillar trim 5. Rear parcel tray 6. Horn 7. Rear ac vent slider 8. Fuse box plastic panel 9. Weilding on C pillar roof joint internally. 10. Rubber insulation of rear right door. Still getting rattle and squeaks from left B pillar and dashboard on concrete roads of pune. Can this be assumed as a unfinished product and based on this put a case in consumer court for selling me an unfinished/defective product? Oh.. i forgot. I need money to fight with any judiciary system in India. I am not that rich. I will get used to the issues and believe that i am a truck driver.
I bought punch Lr which was my biggest regret in my life .. from the day I took delivery(feb 29) i have isssues with car ..still now it isn’t charging and the charging gun is struck in the charging especially with 25 and 30kw charges …no support from service or sales department…😢
Instead of writing a comment here, you could have written an escalation mail to higher contacts and searched their contact details in website. Ranting in social media will not solve your issues....
Tata motors is very smart and doesn’t reply. Customers get tired and use social media to address these issues of frustrated buyers who Tata doesn’t even think about. Beware
Sir , Tata nexon, made in India - 20 lakh. BYD autto/seal , made in china 34lakh to 41 lakh . Compare, tech , handling, power , range , reliability, interior, premiumness , battery and motor tech is no where when compared to BYD . Shouldn't we feel cheated . You are charging ridiculously high .
Simple things are ignored by Tata. Most of their cars have lots of bugs and for finish issues . Tata punch EV for example has a very feeble wire connection behind the rear wheel for ABS sensors which are easily cut. Many users are suffering from this. Why is Tata doing such mistakes ?
Sad cars by Tata that don’t serve the purpose they promise. Tata you are selling lies. If there is anyone who knows Tata team, tell them this, they should shut the company as customer is not important for them.

@@kiranreddy7864 problem is the kind of content they consume Instead of watching properly researched in depth videos from engineering explained or other good channels, they rely on clickbaity channels only focussed on views and engagement or worse, insta reels which are even going to declare you homosexual for using EV
Sad that talks such as these pander to car makers and a no-sense government policy:- 1) no present and no future for batteries based on lithium; 2) battery tech shows no signs of price reductions down enough to fit the odinary man's purse, the argument that large scale production of batterries will make batteries cheap is false; 3) Elon Musk tried and failed to enhance battery density, and no one has even come close to what he did; 4) EVs are prohibitively heavy, a danger to ramps, bridges, with an unsustainable rate of tyre wear, no solution to this unsustainable weight issue is available in the foreseeable horizon; 5) India cannot produce and make available electricity for charging for a universal adoption of EVs, not by 2030. Not enough production plants, insufficient national electricity grid, no plans of enhancing either to a minimum feasability of use. 6) No solution to dual power source use, as aircraft and aquacraft have no alternative but to continue with hydrocarbon based fuels and not electric fuel cell tech. 7) No scalable horizon to make battery car fires rare, or restrict damage to surroundings, or environmentally non hazardous. 8) EVs are single accident products, repairs being usually too costly and insurance is therefore uneconomically high. EVs are also depreciation prone in even the very short term, due to software upgrades. There is no change horizon to either issue. 9) Charging times are too high to promote product reliance in times of need, or in emergencies. Geological and atmospheric troubles ground EVs at a time of dire need. 9) EVs are therefore second car fashion products, tests showing that charging station costs are higher than filling up costs at conventional fuel stations. And range issues have never been solved.
