Something about this version of Uncle Ben struck a cord with me way more. He felt like a real person, an old working man who struggles to communicate with his young nephew, who he loves as a son. Watching him die was heartbreaking.

Watching Flash be the "bigger man" right after Uncle Ben's death is one of the most unnerving perspective shifts; the subtle reference to how Flash uses violence as a coping mechanism as well, his willingness to temporarily be a punching bag to help Peter - it throws we the audience on our head as we realize just how lost Peter has been since his parents' deaths. Combined with the horror film that occasionally shines through in this film, I think the tone and perspective of TASM1 is one of the most fascinating in all of the films.

Actually didn't think there was anything wrong with this movie. To be honest we've had such crappy movies. I think since this with the exception of maybe endgame but after that everything just went downhill If somebody made a movie like this and then had it play in the theaters I'd go see it because it's actually quite good I've been out of the states for 18 years and I'm really disappointed about movies and comic books Sadly because people are pushing political correctness and inclusivity. I mean damn everyone's becoming gay lesbian and a whole bunch of other things I'm not even familiar with. This is just completely off the topic but damn it scared the hell out of me. I saw a Captain America and flash and some kind of drawing and they were too gay guys. I'm so tired of people wanting representation. Like I thought it was a great idea to have Miles Morales be the new Spider-Man it was awesome and still is They're making a sequel to the multiverse I just don't like other comic book characters being hijacked and having their gender and sexuality changed I think it's lazy and if the lgbtq community wants their own gay characters they can make them That woman was actually a love interest for Bruce Wayne in the 1950s but yet in 2008 they turned her into a lesbian why because apparently someone from the lgbtq community had to be represented Wouldn't it be more epic if they could create their own? I'm just going to say it for pretty much humanity nobody wants to watch a gay superhero. I'm sorry but they don't. Nobody wants to see them acting out publicly in any way shape or form. People from the lgbtq community they can live their lives.Most people in the world really don't want to see it.

One of my favorite little details in this movie is from Flash. He didn't just say he was sorry for Peter after Peter picked him up, he was coming to talk to him, probably to apologize for how he'd treated him before and offer his condolences. And then at the end of the movie, he and Peter are friends. They're talking about hanging out right before Peter waits for Gwen to pass before walking to class.

Physically in terms of his physique I think he fits the role the best and I love the suit however I feel while Andrew Garfield is a good actor and as Spider-Man he plays the role well his Peter Park feels way too “cool” and not at all like a real teenager. However that’s probably just the way he was directed to act not really his fault. I don’t like some of the romantic improv. Overall I far prefer Tom Holland but then again I am younger(17) so I probably don’t have that feeling nostalgia from the old movies even though I did watch them when I was younger
@EasilyPullingUpFromDeep
@EasilyPullingUpFromDeep 2 года назад
@@markneillmusic9082 Tom’s Spider-Man was implemented to suit the MCU. He was brought in at a time when Thanos was around so his progress was rushed to properly incorporate him into the story. Relationship between him and Stark is cool but it takes away from how Peter Parker became Spider-Man. That’s the only thing holding Tom’s illustration back, the others had solid origins but TASM comes out on top cause the original Spider-Man had to cut corners cause it was made in 2002.
@markneillmusic9082
@markneillmusic9082 2 года назад
@@EasilyPullingUpFromDeep I think those are some very valid points but I would argue we don’t need another Spider-Man origin story. We know his story we know his character we’ve seen time and time again how he comes into being and the effect that has on his character. I think rather than beating a dead horse over and over again choosing to focus on his development from there onwards was a smart decision

What I like about this movie is that everyside character has depth and arcs and these same characters help develops peter parker. Although, I still appreciate marvels take on Spider-Man
@paradoz8375

@@catgamerzxd Yeah I agree. In this movie they actually put thought into Flash's character. When Uncle Ben died, Peter was all sad and then boom. Flash went to the wall and the first thing he said was "Feels good right?" signifying that he knows what Peter is experiencing. The MCU ver. just made Flash a stupid character. Almost 0 character development. But I still do like both takes.

@@catgamerzxd indeed. Aunt May in the MCU is just some straight up comic relieve character with little to no character development. Now you can say that she has helped before due to we not seeing MCU's Spider - Man's origin. But she could've helped to cope with the loss of his mentor, Tony Stark. Or Aunt May just wants Peter to cope with it himself which is kinda irresponsible ngl.

He should not blame himself for something he couldn't control.

It's not about whether he is responsible in a malicious way that he could have known, it's about the nature of your actions causing a bad outcome and the effect it has on the human psyche. He shouldn't blame himself because he couldn't have known what was going to happen, but it's in his nature as "just a normal guy" to feel like it's his fault, to blame himself. All of us who have lost someone that we could have made a difference in their fate had we just done one thing differently can relate to Peter's dilemma here.

I love how this film treats spiderman as a vigilante rather than 'superhero' . Like he is still figuring out his morals and some of the stuff he does is even questionable to the audience but only to the extent that you are still rooting for him. Also, Peter chooses to use darker colours in the suit and darkened eye pieces which matches this milestone on becoming a 'crime fighter' aswell as making sense in the way he is being more stealthy and careful at this point with a lot of night scenes he is supposed to be blending in to. In that sense, the suit is more realistic (disregarding the fact a single teen made this) all while being still Faithfull to the comic book suit we all know and love

This is still my favourite live action Spider-Man movie, and I'm so glad that you finally did a video on it. I love the cast, I love the characters, I love the chemistry, I love the story, I love the direction, I love the message, and I love the progression and development of the story and the characters, that you elaborated on so well here. Prior to this I had watched the '94 cartoon series and the OG films, and I had enjoyed them sure, but this movie and every single thing about it really made me a Spider-Man fan. It takes it's time building Peter by tearing him down, and only then does it make him stand, help him out, make him the Peter that so many people love. I also absolutely love how instrumental Gwen becomes to the story. Emma Stone and Andrew Garfield have cemented themselves as my ideal Gwen and Peter. This movie, while yes not perfect, it's amazing (pun definitely intended) in so many ways, and everyone involved with it did such a tremendous job with it, that I'm always gonna love it, it resonates with me so much. P.s. I was 19 when I first watched, so thank you for thinking of that in the video. :P
