I agree 100% on the dislikes. I will add that although there’s a lot of let room, I like to put my seat further back, and I can’t with this car…

Great review. I just bought a 2024 Night Edition Calligraphy last Saturday. I agree with you that the HK sound is underwhelming. I updated the software, changed a setting to use QLS, and the system sounds better and louder now. Give that a try.

Power Folding outside mirror ? Palisade outside the US has them; Kia has them; If you offer smart-park for tight parking spaces, wouldn't you have a need to fold your mirrors ?? So, so many luxury features and not a basic like this....I can buy a 20 year-old chevy that has them.

I have the brochure and it doesn't mention power mirrors in the specs. Santa Fe doesn't show it either. That is a miss for sure.

Santa Fe has power folding mirrors on the top models, definitely a miss

I bought a 2024 Limited last month. I am 6'1" and have no problem with the seating position relative to the armrest. In fact, I think it feels like the back of the cushion is lower that the front in the lowest position. As for the sound system, the loudness is probably a non-issue for those buying this vehicle...it is a family hauler not a a hip-hop ride. Rumor has it there will be an OTA software update to allow wireless Apple Carplay and Android Auto in the not so distant future.

Got my 2024 Hyundai Palisade 2 weeks ago. Because I'm that kind of person, I will start with what I don't like. These are mostly nitpicky, but they are what I would change immediately to take this vehicle from a great car to an excellent car. 1) The center console armrest is way too low. I've had cars with low center consoles before. What they did to make up for it... they gave the driver and the front passenger adjustable armrests attached to the seat. This would be such an improvement! 2) The wireless charger is in a horrible place! I have to contort my hand to get my phone in and out. My wife's Cadillac (I know... it costs so much more) has a slot that you can slide your phone into (similar to using a cup holder). 3) The locations of the USB-C for the front seats are horrible. You have one inside the center console. The other is below the cupholders in that extra storage area. There's a little hole near the wireless charger that allows you to drop the cord down to that USB-C, but it is cumbersome and I am constantly needing to rethread it for it falls out when not plugged in. I'm tempted to buy one of those inserts on Amazon that are designed to make that cupholder area more usable. The engineers need to send this area of the car back to the focus groups and redesign the whole area. 4) The air conditioner is not strong enough for Texas. It seems like American manufacturers are the only ones that get this right. 5) The sound system is mediocre. I actually like the Bose system in my daughter's Elantra better. 6) I really don't like how I can't disable the auto stop as a default. Seriously. Having to press that button every time and not being able to customize how I want my car to function is crazy. 7) Bad gas mileage. I don't drive it hard, and I'm barely getting 20 mpg. Booo.... give me a hybrid. 8) No auto fold mirrors. I've had base model vehicles automatically fold the mirrors when the door is locked. What I really like: 1) The remote climate control has 4 presets. I can control whether the ventilated or heated seats are on, the defrost, the rear defrost, the steering wheel heater, and the cabin temperature! I came from a Toyota Highlander. The Highlander would remote start with whichever settings were used last for fan speed and temperature. You're in trouble if you came to work when it was cool and forget to turn your air all the way up! 2) Heated and ventilated seats in the 1st and 2nd rows and heated seats in the 3rd row! 3) The massage function 4) The materials and sophisticated look throughout the cabin (the Nappa leather, the soft surfaces) 5) Great looking, classy exterior 6) Comfy steering wheel 7) All of the great safety and convenience features that come standard (my wife's last car was a BMW. It is the most expensive car we had ever purchased. it didn't even have adaptive cruise control) or rear cross traffic alert. These would have been extra beyond the $80k sticker. 8) Free maintenance 9) Great warranty I know there's more. I just can't think of them right now (and wasn't as specific as I could have been about the materials and sophisticated look of the cabin and the exterior). Needless to say, I have no regrets buying this car and fortunately no buyer's remorse!
