I test drove this at my local Canadian GMC dealer, you are right in every way and today we now can access Tesla version 3 superchargers with the charge port in the right location, it is excellent and really required here in Canada as our DC Fast chargers ins Alberta and BC are overused and functioning chargers are few and far between!!
100k???????? What in the world is chevy smoking That "pedestrian" safety noise is terrible and so is having no sun shade for the roof! That wouldn't fly in Southern California. This thing should be 50k
I agree completely regarding the passenger mirror. It is horrid and after decades of making a convex mirror they got cute and it is incredibly dangerous. I purchased an aftermarket blind spot mirror stick on glass that helps.
Great review! A few other oddities of the RST 1) Sunshade is supposedly en route as a pop-in accessory. Supposed to be like the MachE version that installs in a slot surrounding the glass edge. 2) The WT has more physical climate control buttons independent of the touch screen. I wish the WT climate control panel was in RST. Said control panel also has room for physical heating/ventilation controls as well. This is a head scratcher. 3) Why aren’t the Homelink buttons physical in the driver’s visor or the area supporting the rear view mirror. Nope. Virtual buttons on the touchscreen. 4) Physical light control buttons are now virtual as well. Yes we have them on auto 90% of the time. But still. 5) Why is the frunk smaller than the Lightning? 6) Why does it come with the soft tonneau cover instead of the Tri folding hard tonneau cover which is an accessory purchase? The soft tonneau is a POS. 7) Why 24” wheels? The Hummer has 22” wheels. 24” tires are ridiculously expensive. 8) Why are the puddle lights and footwell lighting an accessory purchase?
you all want car play, but it cannot do the things ev drivers need. like route you to ev chargers, give you your state of charge upon arrival to the charger, tell you how long to stay and charge, precondition the battery for dc fast charging and dynamically adjust your state of charge enroute to a charger. all of these things are built into the google nav system in the vehicle. the system is built on google automotive
