As an Egyptian citizen, I must say that I strongly dislike many aspects of life in Egypt. I wouldn't recommend visiting certain sights, like the pyramids, if you're looking for a high-quality experience. For a better experience, you might consider going to El Sahel El Shamaly (Marsa Matrouh). This area caters to wealthier visitors and offers beautiful beaches, luxurious amenities, and impressive buildings. The waters there are some of the best you'll ever see. On the other hand, many places in Egypt can be disappointing. Dirty bathrooms, poor food quality that can make you ill, and aggressive salesmen are common issues. Despite these problems, I want to emphasize that the people of Egypt are among the best you'll ever meet. We warmly welcome everyone to our country.
My pleasure, and I'm sorry for any negative experiences you had in our country. Believe me, if it were up to us, we would make it a paradise just to ensure that no one has a bad experience.
Hi Omar! I’m about to go to Egypt for 3 weeks and I’ve been wanting to ask folks if there is anything I should or shouldn’t do to be a good guest? My partner and I are both American and I know we do not have the best reputation for being respectful travelers, is there anything westerners do when visiting that particularly annoy you?
@@annaleecoon8753 1st step don't take an advice from a guy on RU-vid lol but srsly I will try to give my best.. about how you dress if you are yk a beautiful woman take care wear the most modest thing when going to places that poor people have access too like pyramids and others idk how to name them in English cool considering the food street food are delicious but you might end in a hospital or a bad time bathroom if you are a zionest I recommend not going there it's Egypt you gara forgot your rules respectfully for your own safety hmmm make sure you have a guide to be with you at every sight for tourism don't trust scammers who sell you something u should have a guide tho so I guess he may tell you about that I recommend having a trusted man with you he may care of you ok idk about payment stuff wealthy places are safe to go it's cool I guess it's like Europe in a lot of things the luxury places only you may feel cool when you go to places like pyramids or places like this don't wear things with value and keep your stuff in your hand don't let them scam you and about you be yourself you should be good and I wish you a good visit with no problems that's all I know
@@brianalblanco nice. what I will say is: the more you can pretend you're not a tourist, the less hassled you'll be. that means always covering up on the street, as a woman.
You say that newer eSIM-only iPhones don't work in Egypt because they don't support eSIMs. Then you say that you used Airalo to buy data, but Airalo uses eSIMs too (when I traveled to Italy, I purchased data through Airalo which installed as an eSIM on my iPhone). My wife and I both own newer iPhones that don't have physical SIM card slots. And we are both on an unlimited international plan. Will we not be able to use our phones in Egypt?
Hi there Your video was very informative Well, i ll ve visiting Egypt tis October And i really confused of how much do i pay for the guide who take us to the pyramid and also how much do we pay for the guide at the museum each Pls advice Tq.
Hello, thanks for watching and leaving a comment! I recommend the company I used for the pyramids: We Know Egypt. I did not use a guide at the museum but they have some out front. You can negotiate the price with them. I hope you enjoy your trip! :-)
I am living in Egypt, you can take an uber to the pyramids, the entrance price is 550 egp, then you can ride a camel or a horse for like 150 to 250 per hour, then there are many freelance guides who offer their services, you can negotiate a rate with them, it depends on the time they spend with you, a hour will cost like 150 to 250 pounds i geuss. If you book trough an agency it will be more expensive but you will know what to expect up front :)
I stayed in a city called Qena in a hotel called Basma, and it was directly on the Nile it was nice. Can get pretty hot though on the 31st of December I was sitting on the terrace watching The Nile go by and sipping a sugar cane juice so good. In Hurghada I stayed at Scandic Resort and it's pretty good 👍 beachfront.

I just came back from Egypt and hated the people. Scamming. Lying. Begging for tips if you happen to look at them. Filthy bathrooms. Loud all day! I was happy to leave as well
Thats maybe because u haven't talked with real Egyptians, and yeah unfortunately there is scam at some spots but you could just ignore them and that point about the bathrooms lol that really depends on where were u
@TCtravelVLOGS let just accept the truth about that there's not any country considered as heaven bec for everything there is odds and evens, Egypt is such a crazy country specially cairo and giza, there is lots of great cities each one of them has its own geographic natural phenomena such as hurghada ,marsa alam, siwa , alexandria, etc. i love it sm, if u could just deal with the odds believe me u would definitely enjoy ur trip but btw bear in mind that it's hot in summer
something about this part of the world...morocco also had endless hassling and annoying sales people everywhere i went for 3 weeks there...these people need to change their culture asap or no one will visit
It's not their 'culture'. It's literally the advent of mass tourism plus rich westerners who pay much higher prices plus increased poverty that has led to this situation.
