hi everyone!! i've been working on this on and off over the summer, and its Finally done!!
i'll be learning to board in blender next week, and then hopefully i'll be able to get animatics done faster :,]
even if this took ages, it was a lot of fun and i learned a lot! please lmk what you think in the comments, i always love 2 hear what people have to say :}

Either they're trapped in an infinitely recursive downward fall through a mirror world, or this anomaly has little interest in trapping its victims. Also amazing having those eyes be transparent.

@@starryguykai awesome! I can only assume that means either they're not the intended meal, or that its mechanisms go beyond dissolving buildings and either one is scary

Bizarre and intriguing! Love the character interactions, reminds me of adventure time humor. Keep up the cool work, good luck with blender

OOOOGOGHGHHG THIS IS SO COOL!! LOVE THE MUSIC AND SOUND DESIGN!! i wonder what was happening here? the crow was there at the beginning the middle and the end and the two people seemed very used to the weird purple cracks and the strange voices, AND the crow flew out of the pit and had purple eyes, so either it's a normal animal that mastered how this otherwordly purple stuff worked, OR its tied to the weird otherwordly stuff and is like.. a spirit?? NO CLUE. but i like how the mall itself seemed to be warning the two of them, the 25%, 50% 75% and 100% off being a sort of countdown before the purple and cracks consumed the mall entirely. it's interesting though how going into the cracks didn't seem to harm them AND that afterwards they were like "should we go to the hospital?" because my first impression was that this was a post apocalyptic world consumed by this strange jagged purple cracks, and they were scavengers picking clean the bones of the old world, but the mention of a hospital threw me off (though i suppose if there were enough people there would be a hospital in a post apocalyptic world). ANOTHER thing that was interesting was how they were surprised that the only thing that happened stepping into the cracks was that they were teleported outside. is a random thing, where if you're unlucky you teleport deep underwater and drown and lucky you teleport outside a mall? or did the crow being there save them? it's fascinating to think about!! very awesome animation, you did so good with it :DD the love really shows in this i think ^_^

this is edited bc i feel like i gave too much away when i first replied, but thank you so much for your enthusiasm and questions!! this response makes me so happy to read, im so grateful that you thought so much about it :,) some things i will say is that the two friends ARE scavengers in a post-apocalyptic world (im so so glad that came across), the mall is a remnant from the old civilization, and also sentient. thank you v much for this comment: it was a joy 2 read through, and its one of those things that remind me why i post my art online!! thanks for being so kind and thoughtful, it means so so much to me ;v;
