That’s a big pile of big games. We’re currently flying through ISS Vanguard. We love it, hitting it hard for a 12 hour marathon last weekend. Great experience. Would love to see you do a play through of it. P.S. I did get Tainted Grail: Kings of Ruin into my Kallax. Maybe when you pop off the shrink it’ll…shrink. Keep up the great content. Room tour!
For Robinson Crusoe, I don’t use any of the minis. They’re not needed and I don’t like them. So I got rid of trays for minis and there is plenty of space for the Adventure Book any everything else. (I threw them in my Pirate Borg box instead.)
Looking forward to hearing about Euthia. I've wanted that one for a while, but the buy-in seems so high right now for a game I'm not sure I'm 100% going to love. I LOVE Mage Knight, Euthia seems like it's doing some of the same stuff. Looking forward to the SW: Unlimited content as well.
I have played LotR LCG several times with a friend but I haven’t actually jumped in and bought it myself. He always build my decks so that construction aspect is really daunting to me. Thank you for the opportunity as well! #FracturedSky
Robinson Crusoe is a very good game. I highly recommend it. It is not absurdly difficult. The old first scenario was tough to win, but others are not. So with the new easy scenarios in the adventure book you for sure will enjoy the game. It for sure doesn‘t have a 120 page rulebook 😅 Enjoy surviving the island.
Definitely need more feedback to the publishers for better inserts! Also, I'm a bit in the same boat where it appears that a bunch of stuff showed up and I'm trying to figure out how to play it all. PS. #fracturedsky
In case you haven't done the math. I calculate 167 tables in Batch 2 with 5 of those already shipped out. ~5 per business day... might mean you get your table in 6-8 weeks but I'm probably optimistic. It would entirely depend on where in batch 2 you land. :)
Wondering to see your new bg shelfs or the whole board games studio, how can you find a free place for such big boxes! #FracturedSky will just get lost out there
#fracturedsky So I agree about your comments on Robinson Crusoe insert wasted space. On the flip side, I wanted to say that despite being difficult, if you enjoy exploration and adventure, I feel like Robinson Crusoe is super thematic and exciting. Also I heard that one issue was that the very first scenario was actually a lot harder than some other scenarios so it may have been a bad choice to make it the first scenario. Not sure if they fixed that in the book. Either way, i highly recommend giving it a try if you like that sort of game.
#fracturedsky I’ve found over the years my interest in games has changed. Too many bones was my favorite game and now that unbreakable has showed up I don’t have the time to play it. I imagine all these campaign games and Robinson Crusoe falls into the same category. Ironically my group just started playing TI4 and it’s been a blast but I mostly play solo and I can’t get these bigger ones played anymore
Its funny because I completely passed on all of ISS Vanguard because for me the game looked more like work then actually fun. I remember watching many channels being hyped over how great ISS Vanguard was. However any play through I watched just seemed like upkeep and work, and those played looked more like they were forced to play lol. So for me It would be interesting to see a game play vid of this game.
Campaign games are time eaters and space hogs. Base Iss Vanguard campaign alone will likely take a year to complete if you can only table it twice a month. I'm 13 plays in, roughly 30 hours playtime, and reached the halfway point. I feel shackled as I have no time to play anything else and vanguard never gets put away(quicker setup). It's aggravating when a 4 hour session leads to little progress and a revisit to a planet. Now, to save shelf space, I'm considering culling and cycling ownership of campaign games upon completion. Saying goodbye to all other campaign games is only temporary. See, I've realized there will always be a copy of 7th citadel/kings of ruin/middara/ato/tanares out there when I'm ready.. and sometimes for cheaper! *Middara unopened ks edition at my local half-price books. #fracturedsky
I agree about the Robinson Crusoe book not fitting. However, I am very glad that they are selling it separate. I am not that interested in all the minis, but am interested in the book. #FracturedSky
You keep complaining about too much content, it being intimidating and taking up too much space and then go and buy all ins for basically every game lol
Yeah but like I bought this crap years ago and it took forever for anything to ship and then it all hit in a 3 month span. Not really complaining, but it is truth. Idk what you want me to say
@@GameBrigade that is fair mate - I definitely want you to be honest so whatever you do, don’t stop that :) Maybe consider a few core pledges in the future though rather than all ins ;)
I think some of that is due to the notion that many board game RU-vidrs tend to go “all - in” , ultimate bundle etc.. that is you don’t see many board game RU-vidrs unboxing and showing videos of “ unboxing the standard / base edition “… the videos are always the delux , super , ultimate , all in etc…
Please keep harping on publishers for horrible inserts. I'm sick and tired of wasted backer funds on inferior or flawed inserts. Inserts that were designed with retail distribution in mind or just plain stupid as you say. Or just plain impossible to understand how to use after your first unboxing....etc. IMHO lots of influencer videos should be done on improving the standard set of expectations of backers for insert design. Yes I would be in the camp that would prefer the inserts to support 100 micron sleeve kings sleeves so this would be an immediate controversy around what the standard should be...give me an industry wide support to have cards reprinted from approved/qualified printers to replace our cards and decks and I'll never buy another sleeve again. Until then I'll fight for premium sleeve support as part of the gold standard. Aside from trying to avoid spills, sleeving may insulate us from the games going out of print or the game company's chapter 11s. But assigning rights to backers to reprint their cards from qualified printers would eliminate this risk. Even think of the "intent" of awaken realms inserts for the unpainted minis. These inserts were designed to ship the minis to us, not to be used for painted minis out of concern for chaffing etc. Say what? Anyway I took their message and bought the tinkering paws inserts to protect the painted minis. I could spend all day talking about failed insert examples. And we should... until they stop failing us.
I like game play videos with the right group. I like to see people having fun but some of the channels that do these videos get too silly and don't focus on the game enough.
I'm gonna be frank with you, I have a feeling that you don't like campaign games as much as you think you do. You buy way too much content, that you never get to play. Every campaign game you buy, it's always a massive box full of content that you have no willpower to go through. You like the IDEA of playing this massive immersive campaigns more than you actually want to play them. I suggest slowing down and just getting regular boardgames, one offs that you can learn and enjoy much quicker, just as fun. Plus, you'll be able to churn out content much quicker, helping your channel. You said that LotR LCG is way too hard and you have no one to play it with, fair enough, but you go and buy 2 full campaigns? Dude what? hahaha... Anyway... Good luck! My 2 cents.
