Ruben needs to know exactly how hard this will be. Theres a large chance he'll come out at the end as a broken man. But if he succeeds he will be loved by the fanbase for ever.
One thing ive learnt as a United fan. If rival fans keep crying 'well thats his career ruined' it simply means United have made a good signing and theyre really hoping it doesnt work out. So much salt in this one 🧂 just shows United are doing something right.
@@lbprvt1 youre not even funny bro. You WISH United would get relegated but we all know thats not happening. Grow up and stop making childish statements lil bro you sound salty this morning 🧂
As a Sporting fan, I really don't want him to go, but the English press will be delighted with him. His mood and personality is much more in line with Jurgen Klopp, than with Mourinho. He is a good egg, positive, always smiling, knows how talk to players and be their comrades, while being a real smart tactician and motivator.
I still don't know how good he will be coz we've expected much from previous managers who later turned out not to be the type of the managers we wanted. But am happy of his age, being young, he will adopt. Ofcourse we can't stop looking for the type of manager which will suit utd.liverpool fc changed over 12 managers to reach where they've reached
Actually liverpool done something different counter attack under klopp first few season then transition to possession and ten hag try to do that but no success because every manager of united had a midfield problem
Tottenham had every reason to believe that Conte would be a great appointment given his success and experience. Didn't work out did it? Loads of experience or little doesn't necessarily mean much.
One thing for sure, if Reuben would read this comment, (1) There are some players in the United team, would definetly get him sacked, (2) don't trust the English players, they will throw you under the bus, and (3) there is selective group of so called "class of 92" would criticize you to that family level, (4) then there is section of united fans who would cheer you and jeer you,(5) group of journalist, watch out for Mark Goldbridge and Samuel Luckhurst, all the best to the hottest seat in football clubs
@@akachied4166 He's but I think his era produced more quality coaches that didn't let him shine that much, a younger coach with passion and dreams to be at the top can get us there.. soon pep will leave city then it'll revolve around younger coaches which I think Amorim would be a strong candidate in this era.
Here is how its gonna happen. Amorim comes in and shows exciting playstyle and tactics. Fans are gonna back him. Players show lack of effort and unprofessionalism. Fans turn on him. Players thrpw him under the bus just like every manager w e ve had since the last decade. Restart
Last night, Sporting had a routine victory against 17th-placed Nacional, showcasing a well-coached, organized side. Each player had a clear understanding of their role and took up precise positions on both sides of the pitch. This clarity in roles was especially evident in Sporting's high-press. They consistently recovered possession quickly and transitioned seamlessly from defense to attack. Nacional found themselves pinned in their own half for extended periods of the second half. Sporting has a pool of talented and hardworking players who play with high intensity, both in defense and attack. Their style is entertaining to watch, as they allowed the opposition barely any time on the ball, thoroughly outplaying them. A 17-year-old came on in the second half and was outstanding on the right wing, troubling the defense with his quick feet and skill. It would be easy to conclude that Amorim is a good coach - and indeed he is. He has drilled Sporting CP exceptionally well. However, in my view, the team is composed of the right profile of players: hungry, motivated, focused, and hardworking. For a team to perform at the level I witnessed, the blend of both elements-a great coach and the right squad profile-is essential. But does Amorim have the resources to transfer his ideas into on-field success at Manchester United?
Managing united is a whole different game bro, the pressure is huge especially if u dont win few games the fans, media, and even some of ur own players will throw u under the bus so i really really hope he has that miracle to take this fallen club out of this mess once and for all
All jokes aside, it’s still an attractive job to a manager who fancies the opportunity. You will still have one of the greatest ever clubs on your resume. You get to work with some superstars and you’ll no doubt be given a decent budget to at least have a good crack. I’m not a Man U fan, in fact I’m a Gooner, but Man U still has some decent pull for good players. I’m optimistic about this guy. As much as they’re rivals of ours, peak Premier league was the Arsenal / Man U rivalry at the top.
Exactly when they ask me what are key fixtures I always say scousers and Arsenal that's our rivals city are a bunch of cheats and irrelevant in this conversation
Being a sporting cp fan since i was a child amorim did well at braga before moving to sporting but people need to remember the portugese league is dominated by the top 3 porto, benfica, sporting can affkrd big wages 5th downwards players are on like £900 a month. So having him be tested with his back 5 in england may be a huge step up. But he isnt coming in as a manager with controll he will just be a first team manager/coach with no say in transfers or anything else other then team selection and coaching.
No primeira liga first team player is at 900 a month. Much higher than that, even a Nacional, Arouca, Farense reserve players earn much more than that.
The league might be weak and PT a small country but it’s still the best out of the top 5. Every player is relatively well paid. And at the top, even Amorim is already earning handsomely, well within the top 30 best paid managers in world football.
All the best to him. He is coming in manangers graveyard, hope that ineos helps him in providing youg hungry players as well as selling or letting go of older, senior, injured and inconsistent players like Shaw, Malacia, Lindelof, Casemiro, Erickson, Antony, Mount and Rashford.
Don’t know how it will go of course, but this is the first manager considered and picked by a board structure of competent personnel. Ten Hag wasn’t their choice and he’s early enough in the transition to have an effect on the new players and inject some life into the squad as a whole in the meantime while he figures out who will fit and who we need to add. I
Amorim will likely succeed if he is given the backing ETH got. He needs to be allowed to bring in players that suit his style. I hope they don't force him to play with the ETH signings.
They clearly didn't fancy this manager when looking for a replacement for Erik last season tho, could have got this done before the season started. Are you sure their competent personnel 🤔
As a Sporting CP supporter, do not want Amorin to leave Sporting, as CR7 left Sporting to Man United and in the end was treated the way he was, no respect!!!!
@@nicklaus6335exactly. You have the chance to reform Man United to their glory days. Whether or not it works isn't the point, this opportunity comes, you take it.
@@nicklaus6335 He might end up with Bayern, Real Madrid, City if he waits a little bit more. United right now is a career ending club for any manager.
This excerpt from the press conference doesn't put his behaviour in the best light. He is smiling and moving a lot because he was bombasted for 30min by the portuguese media, so he had enough by the time the british media was allowed to ask him questions.
I love how united fans are doubting so much. I am certain this will be their best coach since Ferguson. It's exactly like Bruno Fernandes all over again.
This constant reporting of Man United and Ruben Amorim shows that, Man Unted are what's keeping the lights on in Sky Sports. It's like they don't have any other thing to report anymore
He looks competent and I'm sure he will bring United a good time, BUT he has to be brutal against certain players and use the players he wants AND sign 2 to 4 players he needs to complete his working team.
Reds, your future is so beautiful... but you still don't know. Everything is in place for you to have a new Ferguson arriving... Enjoy Amorim as we did, you will love him as we do (forever).
Close your eyes and listen to him. He sounds a lot like Cristiano Ronaldo (at least speaking English, their accents, rhythm and tone might be very different in Portuguese). That doesn't mean anything of course but it's a fun observation. Regarding his appointment, his coaching credentials speak for themselves so on paper he should be a good fit but the problem at United hasn't been about coaching credentials, it's been about the pressure and expectation of United. It's the biggest job in world football. You can maybe argue that the Real Madrid job has slightly more prestige but it's nowhere near as challenging as the United job and in the past, it's taken truly special and iconic managers to make United a dominant force. I hope Amorim is that guy. I hope the new structure at the club helps to relieve that pressure in the long term so that it's not all on the manager. But we'll have to wait and see. It's an exciting appointment but we've been here before many times.
Although my opinion doesn't count but I still insist on Zinedine Zidane, he can bring back the good old days. But this guy no I don't think so. Because English football is not Portugal style
He’s already getting the criticism before he’s even signed the contract by the ESPN lot. With the players United have I’d be offering the job to Arthur Hoggett if he can teach a pig to herd sheep maybe he can get the players to pass to a red shirt although they manage to find some red shirts in the crowd taking shots on goal.
Old Trafford is like the House of the Rising Sun. Ever since Ferguson left as manager, that club has been the ruin of many a poor, money-hungry boy. Not many careers ascended the heights (other than financial) with players depreciating in value as a consequence of joining Manchester United.
as this point as a united fan we might as well just let be whats gonna be we'll more than likely be back here in two years.....time to make another manager with so much promise a flop and blame the manager yet again
