Bloodshot is the last movie we saw in theaters. We saw it with our SinWeek attendee friends. And it was hilariously bad. So it was a privilege to count the sins of Bloodshot. An honor. Oh, who am I kidding? This movie sucks balls and is a slog to get through. But we did it anyway!

That flour scene needed more sins. I mean it was telegraphed and i was waiting for the giant explosion to kill them all and was convinced that was the plan, and then it never happens! Flour is not flammable unless it is sprinkled over fire. You can have a pile of flour and because inside that pile oxygen is low therefore rendering it inert. You can't just throw a flame on flour and expect it to combust. It's not gasoline or anything..

@@ejkk9513 Indeed it isnt. But a) They are moving around in it, they are even fighting in it. So i think it is fair to say there will be flour all over the place. b) There are flares everywhere. Just kick a cloud of flour into one and it would probaply do the trick.

Hello CinemaSins, as a Mombasa Kenya resident 😂, I can confirm that there are very many satellite TV receivers hanging out the balconies and on the rooftops and we are pretty much connected. But I couldn’t really tell if that is really Mombasa judging from that shot so, that’s a sin👍

I was watching that "Flour in the tunnel " scene and wondering if the combustibility of flour was going to be pointed out. If you want to see how bad a flour explosion can be, look up grain mill explosions. In at least a couple cases, they have been caused by a spark, from an ungreased conveyor belt bearing.

Having never read the Bloodshot comic books, I have researched the character and I find out that before Vin's take, Jason David Frank (Tommy Oliver from Power Rangers) played Bloodshot, and look wise, he was more faithful to the source material (keeping in mind, I've also never watched Ninjak vs the Valiant Universe either).

I’m pretty sure action hero’s like Jason Staffon and Dwayne Johnson tend to have it negotiated in their contracts that neither of them can loose a fight. Which made it really interesting when you put them in the same room and they have to engineer creative ways to separate them. XD Yeah, needless to say, cool as that would be, I don’t see him ever staring in a movie as the villain these days.

Yeah, it's similar to how grain elevators explode, you get all that starch up in the air and there's enough oxygen to let it burn. Kinda like pouring a packet of non-dairy creamer onto a match from three feet up. Of course, you also couldn't see or breath safely for like a half hour...

Dust explosions, a phenomena usually in sawmills or granaries, when dust and tree particles are in the air and accumulated on surfaces, close enough to create a chain reaction of heat and fire if anything is ignited, capable of blowing up entire buildings. So yeah, that tunnel with all the flares and gunfire would be an insanely dangerous trap. When i watched the movie it was actually my first thought: " Is he gonna kill them with a dust explosion? - Awesome!"

Thank you for pointing out how flammable flour is. It is the same with any large amount of dust particles in the air. If it hits the right mixture it will combust into a giant fireball. Here’s my biggest problem: Vin’s character wasn’t MADE of nanites, his blood was replaced with them. As far as I can tell, his body was still regular human flesh and the nanites just pull his body back together. Maybe they can force the flesh to reintegrate, but that will cause massive scar tissue to form. Nanite blood makes sense for sealing a bullet hole, or closing a knife cut. But having half your face blown off? The nanites will put the muscle, bone, and tendons back together, but it will still take forever for the body to create new cells to replace the damaged ones. Nanite blood can hold him together, but as soon as the nanites die, every wound he received would open up and based on the extreme amount of damage he received, he would probably dissolve into goo. “Nanite” was a pretty buzzword, but the application made zero sense.

7:16 although flour is indeed flammable, this is not the real issue. The actual danger is that flour is EXPLOSIVE. Lighting flares among all that flour is a huge danger. The fact that the tunnel did not explode should earn this movie 100000000000000000000000000 sins.

I feel like you didn't understand the part where he runs away the first time, the reason they panic is to go along with the scene and make him think they're actually worried about him so that after he is done with the assassination he comes back to them. It would be pretty unrealistic if as soon as he wakes up they're like yea lets go get this dude, or just ignore him.

First Sin: Toby Kebbell... and his silly dance. I didn't get the flour idea either. Why not just make it sand? Gotta admit, Vin pressing the soldier up against the car window with a live grenade was pretty cool. His murdered girlfriend storyline was bunk! "I haven't seen you in 5 years!" Vin: "Ohh ok... I'll be going now. Bye!" These nanites can do EVERYTHING the story calls for! Even fly around outside his body in a bloody maelstrom! The cartoony CGI fight scene on the elevator was shades of Spider-Man 3!

I was very much expecting a scene where the flares started a conflagration, just as Vin's character planned. Perhaps completing the scene with a "No, Wait!" warning that came a second too late.
