Imo this is why gym shouldn't be used as therapy, dude clearly had issues going on, and the fame and attention went right to his head. Brently G is a prime example of dealing with his mental health first, and then making major gains.
I'm straight up jealous. I also started out rather skinny and made quite a decent progress (although not as skinny as him, thankfully). I like to think that if I were in his place, I'd be FAR more grateful.
Yeah so turns out the gym didn't fix this guy's insecurities and now he's just chasing the next thing he might feel will "fix" him. Sadly a tale as old as time. Remember kids, looking good is nice but *being* good is even better.
I don't think bro cares anymore, mf redid a collab with an OF girl, called out Nathaniel for only using him for content. and then made a story saying he did nothing wrong and people are just haters.
so do u hate jessie james west? bradley martin? will tennyson? they all collabed with OF girls and contraversial people. u guys are just hating cause hes small and is more popular then u losers will ever be (including this youtuber)
Honestly if Jack would actually focus on the gym and not on some of models he would be an actual good influencer. But he seems to just seek attention and thinks he got a a shot at these girls.
At 18 yo its a risky situation for him and would be for many others in his situation. There should have been someone in the background directing his steps and keep him out of the negative influence.
The biggest difference in popularity between Sam and Jack isn't caused by size or strength its about being genuine. There are bigger guys than Sam out there but Sam brings people in with his personality, his physique just grabs peoples attention off the get go, at the same time Jack also has that with how extremely thin he is.
Sam wouldn’t even have HALF the popularity he has now if he wasn’t so big. Why do you think almost every fitness influencer uses steroids? Because it’s LOOKS that gets views, NOT personality. Like Alex Eubanks has the personality of an eggplant imo yet he has a top tier physique and is famous because of that
@@RealAnteksize attracts audience, personality fosters real growth. Why do you think alex gets almost no views anymore? This is very standard on youtube btw idk why ur so far off.
I've never heard of him but I do agree that a beginner shouldn't be giving technique nor programming advice, just keep it to what's working for you right now because you have a lot to learn first
@@pricklycats Yeah the disclaimer should be there in his videos because when people give the disclaimer that this isn't financial advice this is what I'm doing for me, that's a lot more appealing than tricking somebody like when they say I'm not a doctor but this is what works for me. He should say I'm not a coach but this is what I'm doing and this is what has been working. Sounds to me like he needs a mentor if his father isn't involved
@@LatimusChadimus To be fair I think his physique and exercise form is a good disclaimer that he has yet to learn himself before trying to 'educate' others lol. I cant imagine anyone wanting or asking him for advice on 'how to grow your chest'
I don't think this gets talked about. If he kept doing videos and didn't have the whole weight of the fitness industry behind him I'm not sure I'd hope he'd have made better progress as I feel the whole 'fitness influencer' scene is toxic and he caught the worst of it. But then he also may have just quit after a week.
@shush429 Maybe you're right. I just feel like he was your average resolutioner and then when his vids blew up he got.pigeon holed and was trying but clearly half assing it for clout.
@@owyn4799 I think so too. No disrespect for jack but he always seemed like one of those gym goers who don't really push to failure and more or less stay the same forever. People act like he was ever a semi decent influencer and got manipulated. No, he was always just well like this
Met this guy in person at an event and he wasn’t willing to wait for his name to be crossed off at the door instead he insisted on shouting across the room for the organiser to let him him, wasn’t willing to talk to the person working the door absolute tool
didn't even know this guy and wasn't even interested on the topic, but your storytelling really hipnotized me. love this quality of content bro, congrats
I think he may have started his journey with genuine intentions, but the attention (negative and positive) became more appealing, and I can see him just outrage baiting until he becomes irrelevant and isn't profitable for the people around him. I feel bad for him with that. But, it's also frustrating to see someone be handed many opportunities and do so little with it. Hopefully he gets it together since positive influencers of different sizes/experience should always be a good thing.
Getting negative attention is for sure a better way of making money/attention in the short turn by turning heads, long term though he should be looking to build his reputation. Joe Fazer for example did not blow up like Jack but I bet is a lot more successful now due to his reputation building approach.
bro I legit felt the shift in my mentality after a certain reel of his.. Was a follower of his from earlyy defended him from the random hate and now this
My problem with jack was that I was doing this with him. I started at 6’1, 47kg. He is the most statistically similar influencer to me but I quickly realised he was not making progress and I was rapidly beating all of his major prs on compound lifts (apart from deadlift, that dude’s deadlift is genuinely insane) genetics are a big factor and mine are 100% a cut above his but he has all the help anyone can possibly get, all the advice, my protein sponsorships, all the motivation to do well and yet he’s done very little with it.
Out of curiosity, what's your bodyweight currently, and is that after 9 months of training like Jack? Also, what are your compound lifts? I started in the opposite direction being a chubby 85kg at 5'10 and cut down to 75kg at maybe 15-17% BF
Once again i am reminded that not focusing on pure hypertrophy has been huge for me as a beginner just eating a lot and focusing on building strength is personally a great way to start if you can control the calorie surplus
Nah have u seen his apology video its disgraceful plus hes back on the annoying flexing videos and back onto the ragebait posts and posing with more onlyfans girls. Buddy is lost. Im disappointed
As someone whos first introduction to this guy is through this video, i think he owes nobody. He can choose to follow a path of fitness or not. He started to build an audience, but again, he doesn't owe them anything. If they want to watch him, they will if they don't they won't, the same way his 'fans' owe him nothing he owes them nothing. I think people are taking it too harshly. He shouldn't feel external pressure to achieve X with his fitness. That can cause him to hate it, and why would we want that? Expectations on random individuals we don't know to put on weight and get jacked is not a good thing guys.
I think you dont relise he woudnt of ever got clout if it wasnt for skinny kid bulking why would anyone of watched him if he just tried being a influencer
@Liamgane2 then he will lose his clout. It's not like he ripped anyone off or anything. He's not an evil guy because he's not bulking anymore. I think people take it personally, even though he did nothing to them. It's not some great betrayal. Just because he got 'clout' doesn't mean he now owes anyone anything. He will lose his clout, that's fine, he's not doing the thing people like anymore so people won't watch him, simple. No need for anyone to be mad.
@sethkoffler2571 never heard of gymcel before and I prefer my life without knowing that was a word, but you're completely right people in the fitness community (especially on tiktok), are very judgmental and demand unnecessary and weird things otherwise they get mad
I see this as a content creator and I appreciate what you're doing. I think that it's really cool of you to send him emotional support. Let's hope he watches this and takes your point of view.
Classic tale of a moth to a flame, we see it with young celebrities all the time. They shine bright and burn as they get too close to the sun. I think a lot of people forget we are talking about an 18 year old lad.
Dude is still barely a child, his Psyche is still under development, he is not ready for the toxic & poisonous environment that (anti-)social Networks are. 😪
Never saw the hype, same with sulek or actually any fitness influencer, I don’t give a shit about people like jacks progress or diet what I want to see is how I can get better and improve, Jess nippard and coach Greg are ACTUALLY helpful
Everyone forgets to mention he clearly has a disability which is why he act the way he does, he needs advice from good people but most are just making fun of him and using him for views on podcast ect ect
yeah.. but that is tiktok for you. Remember the long neck dude, the thick neck dude and the other freak shows that I mean I just lost faith in humanity after watching that trainwreck. But just like predictable, most are not famous anymore and cant make a living of being freaks. Im not gonna bleep it. This guy how ever might just have some variation of adhd so he is socially akward due to well not being "all there" . He is tenced up after all in many ways. And clearly insecure.
I’d imagine James Beardwell does because his reputation got ruined. Not to mention all of the people who were supporting Jack to see him succeed only to have him give in to the fame. What do I know tho 🤷♂️
i wanted this dude to get big so much cuz i was like him (3 years before i was 55kg but the highiest i got was 84 before i broke my leg) but fame is something not everyone can handle
I like Jack honestly. Idk why people have to be so hateful over a few “mistakes.” He’s an 18 year old given a bunch of fame of course he’s going to make mistakes.
He should listen to his followers, and collab only with good people like Joe Fazer etc. He doesnt realise he has got the gift from God to get this much help
I was briefly the same when I was 18 and started getting gains. It took most of my friends dropping me to realize I was being annoying and arrogant and stopped it, he needs to go through the same.
You got to be such an odd and specific type of person for most of your friends to drop you over the way u act when u work out 😂thanks for telling us the truth mate 😭
At his stage I could totally understand "my favorite exercises for xyz so far" instead of claiming anything as the 'best.' I'd love to see him trying different exercises and just seeing his initial impressions as a newbie on em. As a newbie I think his audience would appreciate his perspective as a newbie, rather than pretending to be the expert he isn't [yet]
Clip of him came out recently with him saying he hates the gym and working out. Hes literally done for and will never focus on it for any period of time
Jack still has a lot of potential and can turn his social media career back around if he gets back into what’s important being: a positive impact on the fitness industry rather than a beacon for clout and views by any means necessary.
I’ve never understood gym beginners hitting pro body builder poses and posting it online. You have to understand where you are at physically, you can’t do a lat spread after lifting for 3 months. Just get in the gym, lift the weight, eat the food, and pose in your own privacy until you can compete
What’s also good to mention is that the hate comments already grew when he said that he was bulking all the time, but then only eating like 2000 calories😅 He had my respect but it was gone pretty quick after a few months
