It’s so sad cause the devs sat up and talked at length about how much they love Naruto and they wanted to celebrate 20 years of the franchise and I’m just baffled at how this is the end result and the last storm game…

Forgot to mention all the tilts that got removed, the removal of selectable jutsu as well ad the absence of features such as destructible buildings which were all in Storm 4, a game that came out last gen.

The fact that after 7 years they only added like 8 characters and 80% of the whole roster has the same jutsus combos and ultimates they ve had since storm 2 (a game that was released 13 years ago) and characters like kurenai anko and more still arent playable after damn near 15 years of this storm franchise existing is just straight up disrespectful. Not even going to talk about how they literally made this game even more of a mindless button masher than it already was by letting you hit the enemy while he s on the ground, removed tilts , chakra shurikens and more.

My girlfriend saw the despair in my face when they cut sauske and Naruto part 1 and hidan vs shikamaru and she saw me uninstall launch storm 2 and generally someone who never touched these games told me verbatim… this game looks way better than the other Naruto game I was playing. 😂

Multiplayer still doesn’t work on Xbox for multiplayer . I mean it doesn’t if you wanna be a technical asshole but realistically in order to get into a match that will 9/10 times will be laggy. And that means you could wait 20 mins until getting a match and like I said it’ll be laggy af We need better defense in this game. Sometimes youn block and it just does nothing

Another thing is they always release the game's online broken on Xbox. The same thing happened on storm 4's release. Believe it or not I had a channel around the time Storm 4 was released. One of my most popular videos was dragging CC2 / Bandai Namco the same way you are now.

The fact that Storm 2 in 2010 had player invites but this 2023 game doesn't is absolutely absurd.

Is the AI voices thing actually legit? I heard someone else suggest that the voices were unused takes already recorded from a previous game. Which, if they did that just to make it seem like the game had new voice lines, it would explain why they sound worse.

Mind numbing is exactly how I described the game as well. Gameplay is way too quick, way too much going on, and also the default damage output is ridiculous. 5 jutsus or like 3 full combos and the round is done.

I agree with your opinion in most of the subjects, for me Naruto Storm Connections it doesn’t feels like a new Storm game at all, they changed only a few buttons commands and nothing more, the fact that they removed Tilts and they put the tilts moves on the second jutsus it's pretty lame, disappointing and lackluster, this game feels more like an update DLC than like an actual New Storm Game. But honestly, for me Storm 1 will remain the most Unique one from the series and the closest to the anime itself because of the very dynamic gameplay features, my reasons: Intro of characters before the encounter, unique jutsus that didn't came back to the other Storm games, longer and diverse movesets for almost any character, Awakenings in Storm 1 have also Ultimate Jutsus, Jutsus Clashes and Wall Fighting... and I can go on and on to state it why Storm 1 gameplay was the most unique one from the Storm Series, just try to Imagine Storm 4 gameplay with Storm 1 gameplay features, In my opinion that will be the Perfect Storm game. The First Storm game has the most Unique gameplay features perspective and the particular presentation of the game was so ahead of it's time in my opinion, the only downside of the first Storm game was the very lacking Story Mode Interactions, and from Storm 3 the developers cut and shortned the movesets of characters, that's why I don't agree with their choices. (By the way, my favourite Storm games and I will put them in my personal order will be: 1.Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm 1 and Generations. (these have my favourite vibe and charm of the anime itself because of the dynamic gameplay features) 2. Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm 2( for the unique Story and some Unique Boss Battles and let's not forget that Iconic "Calm Before the Storm" OST from the Characters Selection Screen and many more diverse soundtracks) 3. Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm 3 Full Burst (Because of the more well-rounded diverse Story Perspective and very epic Boss Battles and also the soundtrack "Outside Konoha" and others soundtracks as well) 4. Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 (mostly because of the unique option to change/switch between your characters team during the fight, this particular option mechanics should've been already in the game from the very first Storm game in my opinion) 5. Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm Revolution (because of the abused and annoying Counter mechanic) 🤷🏻‍♂️

Call me simple but I enjoy this game for hours cause I don’t play online I just play vs mode against the comp. I just like fighting games that look good to me and I hate playing online. My only problem with storm 4 was I couldn’t connect combos. That’s the biggest selling point for this game which I love, plus the few new characters are too fun. With all that said I still understand everyone’s full disappointment in the game.

And they even have the guts to sell their premium collecters edition at $100 or more as if this game will be a hit 😂

Not hitting the assist mid combo is cancer it’s so triggering not to mention when you play on small maps why am I back dashing when I’m clearly trying to dash to him. mid air combos sometimes don’t connect.. I can literally go on

Storm 4 at launch you couldn't invite your friends either, pretty sure they gonna do the same thing and add it in an update just like they had done in storm 4..don't know when but it's happening which is completely stupid..

They gone keep releasing shit and getting away with it because too many ppl make too many excuses about the quality of it… 7 years… they know what they doing.. ppl holding on to the little new shit that they put in the game just because it’s new, and use that to uphold the whole game and ignore the obvious things wrong with it.

Auto charge chakra makes enables spam jutsus. Mainly just a buzz kill with support assits . Endless combos without taking a brake from a jutsu just dumb as hell .

If you told me 8 months ago when I was in prime prime in skill and in my prime playing storm 4 that they would make a game WORSE than storm 4. I wouldn’t even know where to start on thinking about how it could be worse. Like I thought storm 4 was the most unfun bs but connections, like I just don’t even wanna look at it. It was so fun at the beginning tryna keep my spot on leaderboard but after 2 days I just got aids it’s so unfun.

My mans showed no mercy 😂. But honestly, besides the more well-known/featured clips of just god awful lines, many voices either sounds too-high pitched, have poor delivery, or just show little to no emotion. MIND YOU these issues are present even from the OG voice actors like madara, shisui, sarada, sakura, etc.
