The emotional conflict between Joel and Ellie was quickly resolved in the game too. They fought and suddenly realized they were both being stubborn.

Eh, it's a bit deeper than that, Joel realized that he does care for Ellie and he realizes she needs him just as much as he needs her. Whether he realizes it or not, she reminds him of Sarah and he doesn't want to lose that again.

The random hand on the horse was the last part of the Firefly to complete the transformation into the horse, which predates the experimentation where they figured out how to turn humans into monkeys.

Sin 62: Wasn't the implication that Joel accidentally impaled himself on the bat shard by body-checking the Raider into the tree after the bat broke? Adrenaline doing its job and all that, he didn't notice until after it was over. Seemed pretty cut'n dry to me. Solves the momentum and opportunity questions then and there.

Just goes to show truly good this show is when only about 20% of the total sins were actual sins (camera crew and horse tamer's hand making up the majority). Bella deserved that sin off but holy cow, Pedro crushed it in that scene with Tommy.

I know Graham Greene (aka Marion) has been in a lot of great movies, like Shawshank Redemption & Dances with Wolves, but I'll always remember him as explosives expert "Edgar Montrose" in the Red Greene Show. Def. one of my favorite characters.

9:37 You're right. Fort Smith would be a lame place--or really anywhere in Arkansas. Little Rock is the largest city. Fayetteville on its own isn't impressive, but if we're talking about the areal towns of Springdale, Bentonville, and Buena Vista, then we're talking about a Fireflies base site.

I mean, Fort Smith does have a military base. It's about as big as Fayetteville which doesn't have a base, but not as big. So it's probably more ideal than Fayetteville. It's also a corridor city making it an ideal trade spot. The Little Rock Air Force base isn't actually in Little Rock, it's in Jacksonville. But Jacksonville is close enough to Little Rock that you probably wouldn't want to be there either. Then again, all the QZs seem to be in major cities for some reason, so who the fuck knows what logic TLoU uses to set up its bases. Could also set up in Pine Bluff, but it's already a fucking warzone. Imagine there'd be a subplot of the inmates breaking out of the prison and capturing the arsenal, though that sounds a little more Walking Dead. But, hey, at least it has a Casino. I guess this sin is really for assuming TLoU actually has any sort of logic for where they set up outposts in the post-apocalypse. Ding.

aaand Maria being black is actually what took me OUT of this show. Look, I don't have an issue with race swapping, I really don't. What I have an issue with is race swapping just for the sake of doing it! Maria was white in the game, there is NOTHING wrong with that. Making her black in the show, I repeat, *just* to do it, adds nor subtracts anything from the show. This forced inclusivity is EVERYWHERE Nowadays and it's SO annoying.

Making Maria black was literally done for the SOUL purpose of "inclusivity" If Maria had been black in the game, I wouldn't have said a word. Making a character in the show that's *supposed* to be following the game as closely as possible, black, when she was white previously makes about as much narrative sense as say, oh,idk, making Velma from Scooby Doo Indian, Daphne Asian, or Shaggy black. It was done just to do it and nothing else.
