EVERYTHING you need to know about ARMS in 2024 

Howdy! I help run the Neo Party Crash discord 👀 I just wanted to very quickly say, for those interested in joining the ARMS community, the NPC discord is a bit different than that of most of the other discords for the game that exist at the moment. The event we run inside of the server is unique amongst the currently running ARMS events, as it's one of the only events to not use a tournament structure with competitively legal standards, rather embracing a format closer to the Party Crashes that used to be held by Nintendo inside of ARMS on a regular basis (hence the name 🎉). As a result, our server has a larger number of casual players compared to the other servers that run tourneys, so if you need a place to hang for some chill matches, hit us up 👀

Really cool video! 2,000 Hr player here. I Love talking ARMS! I know this is a “Beginner’s” video, so you didn’t want to cover every subject in TOO much detail, but just for the sake of discussion, I’d like to throw my 2 cents into some things touched on. 2:10 As established, this video is aimed at beginners, but that being said going into technical detail, Dashing is actually VERY useful as well as Jumping. Just not FULL Dashing. Short Dashing / Short Hopping is essential for keeping pressure on the opponent and keeping your camera locked on your target. Maybe too much to explain in the video, but for my playstyle at least, Dashing is actually encouraged, as long as you know how to use Dash the RIGHT way. 23:22 While STUN is not a very stand-out element, for me it’s one of the cases where the Arm itself that it’s is what’s important and why you’d pick it. Funchuk is a good example. While Brrchuk (the Ice Chuk) may seem like the better option based on its element, Funchuk has EXTREMELY fast, almost instant retraction when clashed with another Arm in close-range, making it a much better Boxing tool than Brrchuk, despite that one having a better element. There are many examples of this with different Arms in general. 14:14 I would kind of agree that BnB isn’t the BEST in terms of competitive characters. Pleading his case tho, I will say what really can make this character pretty decent is the Arms you use on him. Specifically I’d say, Arms that keep the opponent from hitting Barq and keep pressure on the opponent. Dragons, Lokjaw, Revolvers, Arms of that nature that keep the opponent at bay and allow Barq to shine with his extra Punch and essentially create a barrage of attacks. (Maybe throw in a Nade in there for a pressuring Jab Arms) I feel those are the types of Arms that complement the character. 24:14 As you would imagine, there are advantages that “non-element” Arms still have, despite not having a noticeable property. Namely, the Buff / Bubb Glove Arms. Those are PURELY for Boxing. They have generally slower extension speed than other Glove Arms, as well as obviously not having a special element (tho they do grow big, growing to have a larger Hitbox than the other Gloves) BUT they are also by far the quickest gloves to RETRACT. If you’re in a clash match with other Gloves, your’s will return to you faster and give you opportunity sooner than the opponent. But the Retract Speed is especially useful as a Rush Bait. If you have decent distance from your opponent, if you poke with the Buff / Bubb, they’ll deflect your Attack with their Rush, but it generally will retract fast enough for you to Block before they actually can land the Rush, essentially making them waste their Rush. I do it all the time and it works great. That’s all for now. Sorry that’s a lot. I just love this game and the finer details. I have two questions, 1. Let's just say that this franchise gets an animated series, who would be the main focus? 2. For ARMS2, how many characters they should add in the roster? I'm thinking about at least 30. Bonus question🌟: If they announced ARMS2 for the next console, when is the right time for this game to be released?

Ninjara is my favourite character out of the bunch although one criticism for his teleport mechanic is that he cannot block rushes to save his life, only headlocks (which is really annoying) although I will keep maining him, my wish is that hopefully Nintendo can brush it up and allow him to block through ALL rushes including Headlocks in ARMS 2. This is also a very well put video

What reason is there to play Spring Man over Max Brass

Personally, I found Dr. Coyle the best for the ARMS getter minigame, mainly because of her third ARM ability. (Once you get every ARM twice for a character, you will only get ARMS for characters who don't have all their ARMS double unlocked yet.

I've always loved arms and had fun with the testpunches and even redownload the demo every once in a while, but never really thought the amount of content was worth $60. I might try to find a used copy for cheaper at some point because i really do want to get into it. hopefully nintendo ports it or adds a sequel to the next console rather than abandoning the game. I also wanna say that the video is edited really well! super fun to watch and learn more about the game :)
