Love this conversation! I see the differences and similarities in perspective. To me the brand on the larger macro level represents big name real estate agencies and the brand they’ve created while the personal brand represents the individual agent. Where also comes the applicability of when clients choose to work with us what is it about either or both brands that creates results. Do they work with me because I’m part of the #1 large brand in real estate or because of the brand and reputation I’ve created. I’d argue the later BUT the larger brand may assist with the trust factor. I’m personally torn right now. Part of a large brand. Most of my clients don’t care and have told me that. Some don’t even remember what large company I’m with but they pass along my personal name. So in looking to grow…trying to figure out best direction :) thanks as always for the conversations!
Brands are constantly evolving and changing. This is due to the constant need to adapt to consumer demands. I believe the best way for brands to keep up with this ever-changing environment is to constantly change their products and services, which means they need to constantly update their branding and marketing strategies.
I think Mark and Jason are just coming from completely different generations mark has the archaic idea of what a brand is and Jason has a more modern approach/idea.

Social Platform Brand is Different than Actual building a brand in a community because of the volume you sales as an agent may sell in that particular community !!!!

Very interesting!! The one guy in the back though was rude to the older gentle man throughout you could tell he was fighting to apear more knowledgeable instead of actually debating. Maybe try one guest at a time that don’t try to compete to prove the other wrong…
I am not sure if you've seen Tom's older videos, the guy in the back is Jason. He is a gentleman and not at all aggressive. I felt that Marc was 100% right as far as branding concepts or "By The Books Marketing" is concerned. Jason is more of a current generation of Marketers. He resonates what today's social media demands are and to take off your brand with minimal budget. Marc was right but it takes lot of funding, team of professionals and efforts to build a content that builds a unique brand. Jason is all about PR management and quick branding stuff.
SOLID VIDEO!!! Great content. These are the questions i have been asking myself. The rumor is Tyler Canoles is the Glennda Baker of Alabama. I spoke with her at Summit last year and she said her videographer is expensive but well worth it. In my head I thought..Rodger that, time to bite the bullet. I hired a professional videographer and have been rolling out higher quality content for the past few months and I can tell the tide is turning. Now time to work on my brand/logo.

I was thinking the same thing. The hard work will pay off wether you have a brand or not. But a great brand doesn’t mean anything if there is no business.
