Ever watch a tutorial and all eyeshadow looks blend all into one? This video is to take a step back from all the looks and really know the potential and purpose of eyeshadow. This was an absolutely fantastic video. This was the most comprehensive and well-explained video I’ve seen and I am so grateful it came up, because it wasn’t coming up when i tried searching for something like this! Thank you SO much, and i know this is 6 years old, but I’d be interested in a Part 2 and a series/video on hooded eyelids.

The cut crease is definitely my favourite, I'm going to use a golden yellow and cobalt blue with that. But I might experiment with other styles using pink and a lighter shade of blue.

For pete's sake! SLOW DOWN. You are talking 100 miles per hour and it feels like you're rushing. This is quite possibly THE BEST video I have ever found for teaching beginners. I've taught cosmetology for 30 years and you have put together something that is so useful and informative. You're so good at this, if you give a more relaxed feel you can knock this out of the park like nobody's business. Just fantastic.

I have hooded eyes and the fan shape is a bit iffy on me, I have to tweak it a lot. I can't just use the light, med, dark colors up to the socket, I have to deepen the whole hooded area first, and not let the lightest color get on the hooded part, and since I have downturned eyes, I cannot keep the darkest color on the natural outer V of the eye, I have to wing the outer corner of the eye with dark eyeshadow. When the eyes are not standard or deep set with nice lid space, there is a lot of tweaking that has to be done on the basic templates.
