No one expected for it to become a hurricane at this time yesterday. Now they think its going to hit Florida unless the High pressure to the north of the system doesn't steer it west. At least it missed Puerto Rico.
ABC should archive this broadcast and make it available to general science classrooms - best darn all encompassing summary of hurricane dynamics I've seen in a very long time. 5 stars.
Connecticut gal here and I agree....when it comes to hurricanes and anything huge that affects the eastern seaboard, I check in with Tim....he's the greatest at explaining what's happening and what's likely to happen. Love how he doesn't treat his viewers like they have no clue. I always feel like I've just had a mini-meteorology class after I watch him.
@@imbwildrd3693 LOL, I always feel just a tad smarter after his videos too. Mini-meteorologists we are now, after watching Tim P🤣 I found this station during the 2017 Hurricane record setting season and then watched last year, before we were hit by Florence and Michael. He's not even in my state but I'm back again because it's comforting I guess. When the circumstances get serious, gotta go to the best and that is Tim here!
@Elizabeth Francis Definitely keep an eye on this one and stay tuned to Tim! When I was 9, our home was destroyed in Andrew down in Homestead. We moved up here years later and last year got hit by Florence and Michael. Thought we moved away from these storms lol. It's like they follow me...HurricaneHousewifeUntilHeaven. Have a blessed week!
Very detailed explanation. I hope this forecaster at 13 News Now is able to do updates throughout the life of this storm which could be a catastrophe if it heads toward Daytona Beach and Orlando areas.
I'm in England and only an observer but I've got to say that's the best weather forecast I've ever seen. Our forecasts are dumbing-down to the point that most rely on those apps with symbols generated from GFS. There's no opportunity to learn. Superb work Tim, I've learned so much from just 10 minutes of your presentation.
And I just realized that my older cousin has the same name as this storm, no wonder why he’s paying so much attention to it which he doesn’t like watching the weather for reading about it😂
“In St. Barths, …. Nothing happened but a lot of rain last night, kinda hard but on and off, more off than on. By 9:30am it all stopped, just got a little windy, nothing to note. Now in the afternoon into this evening it’s just cloudy. “I’m near st. marten, anguilla and st. kitts.” For us it’s moved and pretty quiet. “Why are all of these medioriologist soooooooo thirsty for a hurricane. I’m very optimistic,…. Besides i lost everything in 2017 to Irma, Jose’, Maria and the last one - which was a tropical RAIN.” It was nuts, and just now people are getting it together as it took 2 years, and some people are still trying to build their homes. “INSURANCE COMPANIES WENT RUNNING FOR THE HILLS” …. so you basically were putting your money in and it was just a mess. Okay, I’m done. I’ll be back. 👍🏽✌🏽🌎
@@jenestu715 that's almost exactly what I predict. That pressure will push the tropical storm south and west into the Gulf Coast, and Dorian is going to pull a Sandy. It's going to be what everyone was afraid of in 05.
@@jenestu715 I wasn't wrong about Maria, and I called the vortex pushing the ice-storm into Alaska last year. The difference between myself and most of these "Meteorologists"? I base my weather models on both the standard satellite imagery, and the solar-weather measurements. The stability of the coronal holes, are where my "Katrina theory" finds its foundation. If they were unstable, I would expect the storms to follow traditional tracts. We saw the same stability in 2005, during MASSIVE coronal storms, with a higher degree of stability during and just prior to the storm (Katrina).
@@jenestu715 check out Ben's channel, SuspiciousObservers, for up-to-date solar weather measurements and current satellite imagery of the global weather circuits. Good dude, Ben.
@@Tornado1994 you never know what will happen once it passes over FL. I was in FL for Katrina and we didn't get hit so hard but when it got inti the Gulf, it turned into a monster
I honestly think it's going to be pushed outward to the north. Brevard County is normally protected by the Gulf Stream. 🕊️ I haven't heard anything said about the Gulf Stream, after all the NASA Space program wasn't in Brevard for no reason at all!
I know just about everybody is focused on Florida. However I noticed that AccuWeather seems to think that this storm is going to turn north and possibly be a threat to the Carolinas or even the Outer Banks they are saying. The GFS and the GFS Legacy models keep bouncing back and forth from hitting Florida and going in the Gulf and then a new run will come out and it shows the storm hitting the Outer Banks and moving over Hampton Roads. I know it's too early to tell as of now but those two models in particular will show it hitting Florida and a few hours later it will show it not hitting Florida and instead hitting the Outer Banks and Hampton Roads as well. Interesting
TELL THE DAMN TRUTH YOU KNOW THESE STORM ARE GEO ENGINEERED AND YOU ARE NOT A METEOROLOGIST YOU ARE A WEATHER MAN WAKE UP IF YOU ARE STILL ASLEEP AND SAY WHAT YOU ARE TOLD TO SAY
