Is the mini T5 7% UVB ok got a leopard gecko in a 100cm×45×50cm glass / aluminum terrarium? Should i put it inside or outside the enclosure ?

for the mini kit with a distance to basking or around 8" it would need to be inside really.

Thank for the info! I am getting a 90w x 60t x 45d cm (bioactive) terrarium for a ball python, I live in a hot place with high humidity, will the ShadeDwellerMax increase significantly temperature? Will be better to go for a ShadeDwellerPro?

temp will rise according to the watts burned. The ShadeDweller-Max was designed for Royals, and i that size cage should not cause issues really

Can you use a shadedweller for an albino species if you provide clutter?

yes, in almost all cases you can, if you provide adequate shade and the animal is not chronically sensitive to light

How often do I need to change the bulb? I have the ShadeDweller Pro T5 kit.

based on usual photoperiods you can change the glass lamp once per year

Thank you for this! I have a bit special situation where I will get 6 leopard geckos, they will each be in a 90x45x45 cm (bioactive) terrarium, and I think that the distance from a basking spot will be around 30 cm. To save some money (and use less power plugs), I am thinking of using one long UVB lamp to cover two terraria next to each other instead of having a short one for each. Do you have a suggestion for an appropriate type (length and strength) of arcadia UV lamps?

yes, 14w ShadeDweller-Max is 2' long and will light the space of 2 viv well

I have a Luminize System with a T5 Forest D3 lamp (24W). Is the shadedweller better for my ball python (I used the lighting Guide on your website and put the Forest D3 40-45 cm away from the basking spot)? Can I upgrade to the shadedweller using my Lumenize system? Or is the size of the lamps different? My ball python is 10 month old and I barely see her bask until now (I also have a Lumenize jungle dawn LED and a heat lamp from you). Thank you.

HI, you have a 24w fitting and the ShadeDweller-Max is 14w. It would burn out very quickly if you used it in the 24w fitting. IT needs the ShadeDweller-Max fitting :-)

I'm using the ShadeDweller Pro T5 Kit and I was wondering if it is harmful to my eyes or skin? It might seem silly that I'm asking this because the UVB is mostly filtered by the glass and also the distance between me and the light is fairly far, but on the weekends and school breaks (summer, winter, fall etc...) I'm inside my room about 8-10 hours a day. The terrarium sits next to my desk about 1.5 meters away and it is above the hight of my head.

standard glass and plastic is a 100% stop to UV so no radiation will pass through it. It is advised that lamps are turned off prior to any lengthy in cage maintenance and certainly for any keepers using medications that make one more sensitive to UV
